TV was very easy to get unboxed, set up and running. It has a great picture right out of the box, but looks best in either of the two theater modes (day & night) or in film maker mode. The only issue I have had so far is that after the latest update it that Google TV will reboot after the tv is on for and extended time. I have tried all of the remedies in the various forums to no avail so have stopped using Google TV and am using an Apple TV 4K for streaming. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound this tv produces, definitely not the tinny sound you usually get with a lot of flat screen sets. I am very pleased with the addition of an ATSC 3.0 tuner, which allowed my to pick up in excess of 70 channels, although after deleting the shopping, religious, and Spanish language feeds (along with the standard channels that have an ATSC 3.0 feed) I was left with around 50 or so that I actually watch. Those broadcasting in ATSC 3.0 have an excellent picture. I would highly recommend the 2024 U7N to anyone who wants the increase picture quality and brightness that a mini-led set offers at a great price.

Our less than 2 year old Samsung 75 inch TV developed numerous dark spots on the screen and was condemned as unrepairable. After researching current TVs we decided to upgrade to an 85 inch Hisense 85U7N and boy are we glad that we did. We’ve had this Hisense TV for 2 weeks. After tweaking the various settings over a few days we have found the screen to be bright and vibrant during a wide variety of lighting conditions ranging bright sunshine to dimly lit evening hours. We had tried to watch the “Cross” mini series on our old Samsung TV but we had to stop because we just couldn’t see what was going on. With this new Hisense TV we were able to clearly see all of the details in this darkly filmed show. From NFL games to the Tournament of Roses parade the the screen is crisp and vibrant. Although we do have a sound bar we rarely use it since the built in speakers and bass speaker sound very good. We highly recommend this TV.

I spent a month looking at online reviews and for a tv and it led to this one. I'm very happy with the price and quality of the tv. The blacks are dark and its great in a lit room. I could maybbbbe see myself getting the U8 but for the price I'm happy with this one. Warning. you need a truck to pick it up.

So far so good. Very happy with the quality of the color and the picture of this television. Good quality sound as well with the built in subwoofer, I rarely have to raise my volume past 25. Other televisions I’ve owned in the past you could put the volume at 100 and they still weren’t very loud. Overall I am very pleased with this television.

Its the new #1 TV company over Samsung trust me. Im allset for the next 10 years. Nothing besides a gaming computer can keep up with it. Xbox can only put out 120hz and any cable company can only do 4k 60fps where this TV can handle up to 144fps or hz. So im good until they can pass 144hz or more.

Great picture and excellent sound. Earc outputs sound and video to receiver bidirectionally with ease. Google TV is fast and response with plenty of memory for app installs.

Bought this TV for my dad in December 2024. Also purchased a Best Buy Geek Squad Service plan. In July 2025, only about 6 months after receiving the TV, it developed 2 strong lines through the screen (see photos). Best Buy was absolutely no help since they happened within first year of the purchase— this means we had to go through the manufacturer warranty process with Hisense. The Hisense warranty process is absolutely insane. Once all the documentation is received and they send a tech to inspect, the tech then “destroys” the TV onsite (literally disables it, removes from stand, cuts lines in the screen), like 2 weeks before they send a replacement. They then made it my dad’s responsibility to remove the destroyed 85 inch TV. When the new one was finally delivered, the screen looked okay to him so he accepted. I came over a week or so later and saw that it was badly bent in the back, leaning on the stand, and couldn’t be wall-mounted as planned. We’re now going through the warranty replacement process with Hisense again and it can take up 4 weeks to get a refund (their chosen method instead of another replacement). I do not recommend Hisense at all. Even if it looks good initially, if you run into an issue it’s a nightmare to deal with.

I purchased this TV on November 10th, upgrading from a nearly 7-year-old 55-inch TCL model. The improvements are immediately noticeable: a significantly larger and clearer picture, excellent SDR and HDR performance, and impressive brightness. The interface is functional and gets the job done, while the sound is loud and clear, though it lacks depth or punch. Even with the subwoofer on the back, a soundbar or receiver setup is highly recommended for a fuller audio experience. My primary concern with this TV is occasional image quality issues during Dolby Vision content. In darker scenes, I’ve observed instances of muddiness or clouding, where certain areas appear as indistinct blobs of color, almost as if a raindrop on a camera lens wasn’t wiped off before filming. This anomaly detracts from an otherwise solid visual experience. Additionally, Hisense's customer service could use significant improvement. I was promised a free copy of NBA 2K25 with my purchase, but it has been out of stock for weeks, leaving me waiting without resolution. On a related note, I also tried their soundbar, which I ended up returning—though that’s a review for another time. Despite these shortcomings, this TV offers exceptional value for its price point. The features and performance far outweigh the drawbacks, making it a strong contender for anyone seeking high quality without breaking the bank.
