Holden Layfield helps audiences through his harrowing tale in this film set in the early 1990s. After succumbing to a secret battle with mental illness, 17-year old Holden devolves from a gregarious, small-town Georgian football player to a lost, self-medicating prophet. Based on a true story about dual diagnosis and teen suicide, this important film portrays the complexity of mental illness and suicide in teens, offers insight to prevention, and opens the door to conversation about this difficult but critical community concern.

In the vein of 1917, this epic drama is set against the ill-fated WWI backdrop where a restless platoon receives word that they will soon join the first wave of an attack. Led by a war-hardened Sargent, these young men, confined to a trench on the front lines and the dark abyss, face their destiny on the day the British Army lost the greatest number of soldiers in a single day in history.
