A: We tried a different air purifier (from another site) that really bothered my breathing and emitted a sweet smell. Researched, found the UV light was generating ozone, and that can irritate lungs. Had to return. This air purifier does not have a UV light component and really helps. I have significant respiratory impairment and am very sensitive. By comparison to the first air purifier we tried, I would say no, you should not have to be concerned about ozone with this Honeywell model. Better for breathing, better for the planet.

A: My purifier works really well when someone is cooking. Turn it on while you are cooking. It sucked like the oil odor, purify it and then clean air you will inhale. In other words, the air purifier is a huge help to make a clean air that lingers inside of your house. I have actually 2 air purifiers in my house. I run them both for 2 - 4 hours depending what kind of food I am cooking.
