Really good movie.Lots of very good actors/actress. Gives a good look at how our country grew and the challenges pioneers faced. Touched lightly but included the horror of civil war.The resolved to bring law and order to the country.Also that resilience, hard work were the values of our country.

I saw this movie at the theater in its original Cinerama format. I loved all the actors as were mostly all my favorites. Loved the way the story followed the Prescott family over the years and generations. The stories were great in how they fit into all the historical events of settling the West.

Maybe you’ve never heard of Cinerama, but it’s a technology that was at the forefront of all widescreen exhibition which is standard today, even on our TVs at home. This is one of the best movies ever shot in Cinerama format, and includes a wonderful documentary ”Cinerama Adventure” that explores this topic!

I Got this for my parents to watch so they could see it like it should be. It's a great presentation with great VQ and the set is loaded with extras, taking you down an historical memory lane of how movies were presented back in the day. The movie itself is great, so that's a plus as well.

Entertaining movie. Was though,a bit disappointed that it was set in "Letter Box/Wide-screen format" The scenery is so beautiful in this film,that you hate to miss any,in the shorter screen format. Always enjoy ordering movies from Best Buy! Their service is great,with the protective packaging and the super fast shipping! Also,great movie selections!

I remembered watching this as a kid and had to have it when I saw it on the shelf. It was a great addition to my collection that will be watched more than once!

A good historical movie with lots of top stars in cameo appearances. Picture quality improved from old vhs release of several years ago.

Have loved this movie and Debbie Reynolds ever since I saw the original in1962.

This is a classic film that I had always wanted to see, with Jimmy Stewart and other renowned actors. I rate this film only a C+ (I had expected it to be much better, which might be a factor in my rating). I like the continuity of character stories. However, the story is always the most important factor, and the stories were not quite up to my big expectations. Best Buy's price was fabulous. If you want to see it, this is a nice opportunity.

To see how our country got its start is enjoyable.
