Protect the front of your lens with the Hoya NXT Plus 72mm UV protection filter. This is your first line-of-defense against scratches, rain, dirt and dust. With 10 layers of Hoya’s patented anti-reflection (AR) multi-coatings applied to Schott B270 filter glass, your images show improved contrast, color, and sharpness with an incredible 98% light transmission. Hoya also applies a waterproof top coat that is polished smooth for easy cleaning so dirt, smudges and water wipe away easily. The NXT Plus filter frame is precision milled from lightweight aluminum for a slim profile that makes it perfect for all lenses including super wide-angles. The frame sports full front filter threads that can accept a normal lens cap or allows you to stack additional filters like a circular polarizer or neutral density.

Great filter for lens protection on all-in-one zoo
Needed a large filter for a zoom lens, mainly to use for lens protection, didn't want to spend $50 +. Went into the store and they had 3 levels of quality in this size!! This was just what I needed without going overboard on cost.

Works as expected. The threads are good and it provides the clean glass protection I purchased it for. It is thin enough to not be too bulky but thick enough to not feel too fragile.

Great filter
I bought this to replace a similar item that was losing its coating. Hoya is a quality item and does as good a job protecting mylens as it does eliminating glare.

solid protection
I needed a filter to protect my lens from scratches, drops and dirt. Hoya makes great filters at a fair price. It's perfectly compatible with my Sony lens and provides the protection i need.
