I recently upgraded from an HP Envy Desktop that I purchased way back in 2013 to this, and so far I really love it. My only complaint thus far was it's packaged with a smaller HD than what I had in my first Envy. Also, upgrading from Windows 8.1 to 11 was a breeze. All the setup seemed straight forward, and my only problem happened when copying boatloads of files to it from an external hard drive. MS wants you to use their cloud service, and somehow that software corrupted all my picture files. I think it had something to do with the combination of transferring a HUGE number of files to the HD from an external HD while simultaneously uploading files to the cloud. But once I deactivated the MS Cloud Service, then everything recopied over very smoothly. I have elevendy three years’ worth of experience with computers that helped me along with the set-up, so I never needed to call on Best Buy’s technical support service. But if I never encountered any problems with MS Cloud Service, then I’d say setting up this system should be easy enough for someone with just a few years’ experience with computers. I've had this system in my home for nearly a month now, and I absolutely love it! Win11 seems very stable, and my overall rating is 5 stars, and I strongly recommend this item thus far! I got this as an open box deal at a crazy low price and was able to add a few upgrades to make this a sleeper gaming PC.

I have found the HP ENVY Desktop to be a quick loading and a great desktop. The HP loads updates quickly and allows virus scans to be done quickly without interfering with any work you are currently completing.

I was lucky enough to get this PC while on sale but even at it's regular price it's a steal compared to other brands. It's cheaper than Dell, has newer processor, larger SSD, and comes with more memory. I use this computer to surf, email, video chat, and to process photo images that are large files (32 MP) . I run Affinity Photo, Corel PSP & AfterShot Pro, and both Topaz noise and sharpen program. I'm sure that a larger processor would be faster but since I do this as an amateur, the 12th Gen I-Core 5 easily handles my workload. It's much faster than the older computer it replaced. I did not have to upgrade the include video processor. If you're a gamer there is a slot that can be used to add a video card. Over all I'm impressed. There was a time when I built my computers but it seems now the prebuilt computers are substantially cheaper for the same level computer. Unless you're a hard core gamer this computer will easily handle what you throw at it. One other factor I considered was upgradeability. You can increase memory up to 32 megs and sine I had the 32 megs of memory on hand I did change it. I also increased the storage by 2T. If you're not a power user then I highly recommend this computer.

I purchased this for my girlfriend and she loves it, it is very fast for what she needs. She is even starting to play the Sims and trying to optimize it for skyrim, keep in mind this computer isn’t really a “ganging computer” but it’s good for someone doing college and wants to have some chill time on the side. It has a good amount of storage and plenty of ports to plug other accessories into and the material of the computer is very nice as well.

Purchased for my wife who heavily uses Adobes Creative Suite and various other programs that bog down most PCs we've had. That doesn't happen anymore. She can have multiple programs open and in use with no issues. She'll often also have multiple videos playing in the background as she's editing others. It just keeps going. Opens everything quickly and hasn't had a single issue doing so. She's very happy and, thus, so am I.

This is a great general-use computer, with solid specs, for a great price. And HP quality is an added bonus. The SSD means fast boot time ...and the i5 processor and 12GB of ram give me plenty of processing power for my needs.

It’s fast and reliable, that’s pretty much it. Compact but fancy at the same time and overall a good PC to do pretty much anything except gaming.

using for my work computer - has been a workhorse. I have 3 screens attached and it keeps up well with multiple screens opened. I work in the insurance world, and it handles the various needs well. I do not use it for gaming, so I can not speak to this. I am happy with the purchase and feel it was a great value.

The HP ENVY Desktop is an outstanding machine that packs a punch with its Intel Core i5 processor and 12GB of memory. It's incredibly fast and can handle multitasking with ease. The 1TB SSD ensures quick file access and ample storage. A sleek black design rounds out this fantastic package, making it ideal for both work and play. Highly recommended!

This makes the fifth HP desktop; the fourth Envy purchase, so can compare to any others. All have been reliable and trouble free. This model's plenty fast, lots of storage and boots up less than 7 seconds. It takes up less space too, just maybe an Internal optical drive would have been better added on, as all previous models have had before. This video graphics card makes up for it guess.

I have had no problem with this desktop. It has performed well and is a great upgrade from the last computer I had. It is a LOT faster and I really enjoy typing on this keyboard and using the mouse. It is literally fun to use it. Love it. Would recommend buying this one. Thanks.

Went into Best Buy with the specs I needed for a new computer. The salesperson was so helpful in helping me find the perfect computer. This HP works great. Very fast and so easy to set it up for me. I was able to transfer all of my settings from the old to the new computer. I'm loving Windows 11.

I've been using Windows 7 "forever" and really didn't want to get another computer and learn another version of Windows. But my old Acer was really getting slow and out-of-date. So I bought this HP ENVY with a little hesitation. But you know what, it's been fantastic thus far. VERY quick and does everything I want. (Mainly editing photos, cruising the internet, buying/selling my craft items on the internet). I honestly have no complaints. The only things my old computer had slightly better were a smaller tower and a CD disk drive. (But I realize new computers don't have CD drives anymore.) The tower is fairly big on the new Envy. (My old Acer was about half the size.) But the Envy is really FAST and has been a pleasure to use. I'm very happy I got it!
