Got this pavilion as an upgrade from my slow and pain in the neck Dell. The touchscreen, tablet mode and fingerprint reader are a delight! Great speaker quality and resolution. My mom has the 17”, and I decided on this based on my pleasant experience with hers. Got the smaller one because I carry mine around a lot more than she does hers. No regrets!

This is a good computer for school. It fits easily in my backpack and doesn't weigh too much.

I love that I have a powerful device to use for school and work. Though I also love to watch movies and Netflix on my device as well as have it for when I want to entertain my kids

I've always loved HP computers/ laptops but this has got to be the best HP laptop so far that I've had the privilege to own. A must-buy you will not be disappointed I promise you. I love this laptop thanks HP.

I liked the laptop very well, but it broke shortly after it went out of the 1-year warranty period. I purchased it to teach online so I was very protective of the laptop. I would teach on it 6 mornings a week, then shut it down and closed it until my classes started the next day. (I used my iPad for e-mail and other internet activities.) One day after class, I started to close the laptop, and a very small plastic piece fell out near the right hinge. I immediately took it to a computer technician. When I picked it up, the technician informed me that a manufacturers defect caused the hinge to fail which caused the touch screen to pop out slightly on the bottom right side. This gradually bulged out more until the touch screen quit working, and I was stuck having to buy a new laptop This laptop was a 360, but I never used it like that. I will say that one thing I really liked about it is the keyboard is slightly larger than other models that size so it’s easier to type on.

I wanted this laptop for its size and capabilities. I’m not impressed with it, and Geek Squad lost my User Guide when I had them transfer my files from my old laptop.

Bought in December of 2019, it worked fine until, UNTIL, the hinges broke. Sound easy enough to get fixed? It is for $400. Any reputable repair shop, even Best Buy, has seen lots of these broken hinges. Don't believe me? Ask them. Same goes for the HP Envy series. Use your money wisely.

Screens popping out. Looks like an oversized or undersized screen.

I needed a new laptop, my old one was damaged. I was going to go cheap ($300), but then this laptop with ALL the features I wanted caught my eye. It's mid-priced $600 range on sale. Love the touch screen, makes my work way more easier and enjoyable. Powers on lightening fast. Solid state hard drive is sweet. Love the light up keyboard for late nights, don't have to turn on an overhead or lamp to see the keyboard. It's fast and just right in the size department. Not big and bulky, but I don't have to strain the aging eyes to see things. Awesome laptop!

I use this computer every day for work. I have to travel between different locations and this computer is perfect for that! It is super light weight and picks up right where you left off super fast. The touch screen is awesome but I honestly haven’t used it in the tablet mode yet. It’s very fast and the battery life is awesome! It lasts for hours and doesn’t take too long to recharge. Only cons I have - the screen is small. I use a 24 inch monitor when I’m in my office so it really doesn’t bother me. There are only two USB plugs. I always have a mouse and when I use a wireless keyboard, I can’t plug my external hard drive in. Simple fix - $20 USB extender. There is no number pad but again, not a huge problem. I don’t need the number pad as much when I’m on the go and when I do need it, I use my wireless keyboard and monitor. Last con - hard drive space. My last computer had a TB of storage and this one only has 128GB. I’ve been using an external hard drive to store non necessary files and that’s been an easy fix. Overall the cons do not outweigh the pros. I would recommend this computer to anyone - good for school or work! Hope this helps anyone who is on the fence!

This laptop is amazing. With its touch-screen capabilities, I can do a lot of work with it. I never really owned small laptops but this one I fell in love with. I mean it's so compact and light. I love how user-friendly it is! The only reason as to why I gave it a three star is because two months later, my laptop stopped playing sounds. I couldn't play anything because there were no sounds coming from the laptop. I even tried to troubleshoot using the help button but the problem remains. Though I am planning to bring my laptop in to get it checked. Hopefully this sound issue gets resolved because it's such a great laptop. I don't want to have to buy another one.

I have only three regrets with this laptop. 1. I wish it would have a side number keypad. 2. It’s fan is REALLY loud. 3. The on/off button placement is horrible. So in my late forties, I decided to go back to college and I needed a laptop. I researched several options and this HP was a top contender for me with it’s features and price-point. Overall, I am very happy with my choice BUT there are a couple of things that are problems that I would be wary of if I were to purchase in the future. The cooling fan is so loud that when I am in a lecture and it kicks on, people turn to look at me. I try to make extra effort to keep the fan/vent area clear and cool to avoid the loud fan as much as possible. My computer was an open box special so I do not know if this was why it was returned. The placement of the on/off button on the left, forward part of the side is Not the most ideal place. When your laptop is set up and you grab it to bring it closer or move it a bit, you touch this button and shut the whole thing off. Very frustrating! I have had great success with external cameras and am happy with the speed of the processor. I like that it folds to a tablet and is a touch-screen for that purpose. I recommend.

Completely worth the money. Battery life is strong. The aesthetic appeal is incredible. It feels wonderful in your hands and the keys are similar sounding to Apple computer keys. Sure you can hear when the vent comes on to cool it down, but I absolutely love that about it. I think it's neat. The screen resolution is wonderful, and the 2in1 works great. I love the fingerprint unlock, and especially for tablet mode it even has volume buttons on the side. You have to consider how it's displayed when using the audio. Playing music the quality is high, but the placement of the speaker can be used for or against you if you lean it against a back surface in tablet, but wouldn't recommend laying the speaker on the table to watch shows. Overall very satisfied with my purchase and hoping it lasts me as long as I was told it should.

I bought this laptop for my wifes birthday. It's a great laptop. It works well and looks very professional. It's small enough for her to being to class, but not small enough to be annoying to use. The only thing I dont like about this laptop is the amount of storage. By choosing the 128gb SSD, I saved some money. But, I wish I had gotten more storage because the operating system and drivers take up about 20 gigs leaving you with roughly 100 GB of space which isn't much at all. I would purchase this product again, but I would upgrade to a bigger SSD. Hope this helps.

It is a good computer, nice size for traveling. I’m not fond of the Microsoft Edge on the start up screen. I’m sure I can change this, just have not figured out how. It is only 128gb, but it is a solid state drive which makes it fast. It boots up quickly and opens sites immediately

Christmas gift to my wife to help her with her work. All the features are great along with a touchscreen and a very thin laptop. Easy to carry around and syncs to the mouse, external keyboard, etc. Great price and great quality product!

I've been searching for quite some time for a laptop that will allow me to be able to type essays, make power-points, use editing programs, listen to music, watch movies, make notes and etc. I love how it functional to be a tablet and a laptop. I love that it keeps up with me and lasts the whole day on a full charge while I type, listen and browse for things. It's not that heavy. At first I thought it bothered me but I don't notice it. It's a moderate weight. A downside is that there is no case I can buy for it. There are only sleeves. But the price isn't bad either. I'm also glad I didn't skimp out on the processor which is the i5-8th gen. The SSD is also pretty decent for 128 while the RAM is a modest 8GB. Overall, its a great laptop for a student who wants to work but also be able to use it for leisure. It's been a month now and I would not be able to do what I do in class if it wasn't for this laptop.
