This is one of the most underrated laptops ever made. I came into Bestbuy wanting a generic Microsoft Surface and came out with this Spectre that is an incredibly powerful compact laptop. This laptop has so many features including CPU, GPU, and SSD tuning for better performance and battery. Intel i7 with 16GB RAM is plenty to run Adobe software such as Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premier. You can even do light gaming with it. I've had it for 2 months and I feel like I haven't pushed it to its limits yet. The screen is beautiful and the touchscreen is very responsive. It comes included with a pen so you don't have to buy a separate pen. I didn't know I would use the tablet option so often, but it surprisingly works. I recommend this laptop for anyone who wants an alternative to a Macbook or Microsoft Surface. It's powerful to run photo/video editing software and has plenty of storage.

It works phenomenal yet after 1.5years. And the design (oh boy!). Referred already to couple of my friends and made 3of them buy. Not a fan of posting review but this purchase drived me to do so with some magnificent satisfaction. I would definitely recommend this masterpiece to you, who's reading my first ever review on best buy.

Unlike anything I've experienced. I think this is way better than anything on the market, including Apple. The super crisp, tall OLED display, paired with the portability of a light, 13" 2-in-1 laptop, makes this perfect for the couch. Windows 11 experience is great in tablet mode, yet powerful enough to get work office work done.

Really disappointed with the product. I definitely didn't expect to see the persistent issue where I just keep seeing the Boot Device Not Found error (Hard Disk - 3F0). I get this error sporadically and I looked all over the web and it seems this is a common problem that most people face with HP products. I tried all the solutions suggested by HP troubleshooting guide like loading default bios and performing storage tests. Storage Tests when I run they pass. Don't know what the issue is but it's seriously frustrating, as i am working, out of nowhere it suddenly shows BSOD and shows that hard disk error. I am helpless now, don't know what I can do next. It hurts so badly as I spent 1700 bucks on this. Never buying HP products again and would never recommend anyone else to do that either.

Had this same model back in 2017. Had issues like the power cord getting hot, and not charging. Needed larger capacity too, so I decided to replace the old one (that still works fine) since my self employment is heavily computer dependent. Such a good decision! I really really love the graphics. The screen is so much clearer and the colors vivid. The speed is much better than my other one, and with a 1TB drive, I should be fine for awhile. The keyboard lighting is odd though in that it isn't 'on' but 'comes on' when you start to type. I am sure you can change that somewhere, but I haven't had time to figure it out. At least I always get lighted keys in the dark as long as that first keystroke doesn't need to be accurate. The one thing I don't like, is some features in Windows 11. I didn't intend to change to it, pretty much ever! But alas it came with it, so I figured I would TRY to adjust. The big issue is that all of the tasks are on the bottom of the screen and there's NO WAY to change that absent some registry tinkering I am not willing to do. So I have 3 other computers which I have had tasks on the top for decades and I do feel this may end up making me not love this as much as I would otherwise. On a positive note, the power button on this computer is on the top of the machine right on the keyboard to the upper right, which makes it easier to both see and access to turn on--the old one was on the side and you would have to feel for it (and it wasn't very obvious) along with the volume buttons etc which always made it slow to get going. A big negative for this machine and the prior one, was not enough USB ports. There's only the 1 on the left. There are 2 "C" ports though, so I do use a "C" port hub which gets me a couple of more to hook up my mouse and my numeric key pad but having those onboard would have been better so don't have this hub thing hanging off and that I have to carry around a lot. It does come with a pen, which I THINK I will use a bit, so you do'nt have to buy a separate one. It's very light just like the other and the dark case makes it a little less evident when it inevitably gets dinged or scratched. So far in a month or so that I have had it, I am quite pleased.

This laptop is the best I have ever owned for many reasons, in aggregate. I only know what matters to me so that's what I will focus on. First, the screen bezel is very thin and the display is beyond beautiful; It is crystal clear and vivid and I appreciate the HP app in the system that allows one to choose the display type, although I leave it on default. The 3:2 aspect ratio allows me to get a nice full, page view instead of what one sees in 16:9. It also has an auto-brightness feature that is important to me. Second, the keyboard, trackpad, and backlighting are top-notch; I love everything about it, especially that it does not attract finger oils and is easy to read; I am not thrilled with the home button being where the backspace button should, though. Third, the sound, next to the Yoga 9i is excellent. HP has the speakers on top of the deck and below; it could be a shade louder but the sound quality is right behind the Yoga 9i. I love the Bang and Olufsen EQ app; it is very customizable. Fourth, the build quality is second to none; it looks super cool with the gold trim and diamond-cut edges; The pen that comes with it sticks to the left side of the deck nicely and is not in the way; I am not afraid of losing it, whatsoever. It also has a nifty leatherette (?) pouch it can be stored safely in, as can the pen slide into the pouch in its own dedicated slot under the flap. The I/O for the power adapter on the corner is a bonus and reduces the likelihood of it being yanked out and causing damage. I wish there were one on the left side though, in addition. It is lightweight and easy to carry and very portable at 2.95 lbs. The Surface Laptop Studio, also a wonderful unit, weighs in around 4 lbs and is just too beefy; not what I can tolerate for ease of use. The 16 GB ram and 1 TB SSD are wonderful and give me more than enough for my purposes. I have not owned it long enough to tell you about the battery, sorry. However, all in all, I highly recommend this HP Spectre x360!

This laptop looks great. Quite possibly the best looking laptop I've seen. It's speedy. The screen is amazing. The keyboard feels great to type on. It doesn't feel cheap, very solid. It does get hot though. You can mitigate this in the performance settings however. The battery also doesn't last as long as I'd like. I get about 6-7 hrs while using it in balanced mode. Although I guess that's to be expected thanks to the OLED panel. That being said, I'm still very satisfied with my purchase. I managed to catch it on sale for under $1k.

It was time for a new laptop. I got tired of buying $2-400 dollar laptops that have a 40 minute battery life, and break down in a year or two (get what you pay for). It was time to go big. I looked around for over 7 months before I finally broke down and got the HP Spectre 13.5 (14T). It was a tough choice between this one and the Lenovo Yoga 9i 4k. I might be picky, but the one thing I didn't like about the Lenovo was the Leather Lid. The Lenovo had more bang for the buck when Best Buy had it on sale for $500 off. Glad I did not settle and got the HP Spectre for a few hundred dollars more. The first Spectre I got had a bad up-arrow key that wouldn't spring back and had a weird "flat" feel to it. I took it back the next day and Best Buy agreed it would become annoying to have a funky key (especially since it is brand new and should be perfect) and exchanged it out for a new one, I can't say enough about the Best Buy crew, very helpful. The second one I got is perfect. I set it up but haven't really had time to sreatch out it's legs. It should be plenty good for what I need it for (banking, stocks, spreadsheets, internet, movies etc.). My internet isn't the greatest/fastest, but this laptop seemed to help speed it up if that makes sense (especially after removing the McAfee security it comes with). I'm looking forward to using it's robust 1 Terabyte hard drive. I can store plenty of music and movies with that for offline listening and viewing. I haven't ran the laptop all day, so not sure of the battery life. All I know is it turns on everytime I need it and has plenty of Battery life when I do use it. I've only charged it 3 times since I've bought it, but I am only on it for a few hours at a time. I have a work computer that I'm on 8-10 hours a day, so this is my recreational laptop. I can only stare at a screen for so long every day (:

I love my new laptop! The versatility is a huge plus as well as the speed and storage capacity. It is great for work and for college. It does get warm after using it for awhile. That's normal for a laptop though and a laptop cooling pad definitely helps.

Quite pleased with this HP. The touchscreen works well, the laptop starts up/shuts down quickly, and battery life is excellent. The only downside so far is that I'm having trouble adapting to the keyboard. For some reason when I start to type, my fingers initially start 1 key too far to the left (if that makes sense). Instead of landing on ASDF & JKL; my fingers find caps lockASD & HJKL. Something strange with the keyboard design or perhaps the IBM and Lenovo laptops I'm used to make for a tricky transition to the HP. Overall very pleased with my purchase.

Simply an amazing laptop! VERY good looking with gold edges on black body. Feels premium to touch, to type, on touchscreen. OLED display makes watching movies on the go absolutely stunning and intoxicating. Nothing like seeing the very best of colors with true black. Plenty of ports-- thunderbolt makes this a legit upgradable gaming option with an external graphics card! Premium speakers are awesome in quieter environments. AWESOME DEAL at $1,110 after tax!

After 9 total hours on the phone with Xfinity and HP Technicians plus 3 trips to Best Buy Geek Squad I gave up and returned it for a refund. Unresolved issues, couldn't maintain a stable internet connection. When it did work, it was beautiful. Amazing display, fast, keyboard was awesome, I just couldn't get it to stay connected with my home internet. HP said it was Windows 11 and software updates causing the issues. Ultimately, HP Technicians wanted me to borrow someone else's computer, log in to an HP website, download something onto a clean thumb drive, then load it into the new laptop, and contact HP Technicians to do more remote work on it. Note there's only one USB port available which is why they wanted me to use a second computer for the thumb drive because mine was was tethered to my mobile phone so HP Technicians could remote work on my new laptop and therefore couldn't download onto a thumb drive and tether simultaneously. I'll wait until Windows 11 is finished updating aandsee if lightning strikes twice. It really was a beautiful laptop. I rate it ⭐⭐⭐ because of the single USB port, if it had two I may have kept it if they had fixed the Wi-Fi issues.
