I bought this laptop from the summer until now, so here is what I see and feel after using it for about 3 months. First of all, the design is quite simple, modern, not too "bulky" like many other gaming laptops, and in terms of quality, although it is a plastic shell, it is solidly finished, not flimsy. However, the surface is quite easy to get fingerprints. I'm not too sure about the screen, I'm just a normal person who buys it for use, so I don't know about this issue, but I see good colors, the brightness is just enough for use in the room. Talking about performance, I find it very stable for gaming and working, I'm a light gamer and do things that are not too high, so my fan is not too noisy, when playing games (not too heavy games) the laptop fan is not too noisy. Talking about just working, not playing games, I feel that it has no fan noise at all, it is not noisy. When I bought the laptop, I was quite hesitant to buy it because I was afraid that the fan noise would be as loud as other Gaming laptops, but after I bought it, I was very satisfied with my Victus 15 Laptop. The keyboard is good to type on, the key travel is moderate, and there is a simple white backlight. The battery life is not impressive - not too long for mixed use. One thing I am not happy and satisfied with is that my laptop's WIFI often drops for a few seconds and then I have to reconnect. I don't know if this is due to my laptop or Windows. I think I will need to ask Best Buy about this. Right now everything is fine, only the WIFI is abnormal. Thank you for taking your time to read this little Review of mine.

Best Buy So far, I’ve been using it mostly for gaming—and it delivers. I was able to run the Battlefield 6 Beta, PUBG, and Arma Reforger easily. Frame rates were solid, and visuals looked great thanks to the high-refresh panel. As expected from a gaming machine, the fans can get loud under load, but that’s completely normal. When I’m not gaming, though, it’s eerily quiet, which is a nice contrast that balances performance with everyday usability. Battery life and thermals have been manageable so far. The laptop stays relatively cool during normal use, though you’ll definitely want to game near a power outlet. Why I Gave It a High Rating: Excellent value: Packed with mid-high-end specs at a surprisingly low price. Strong gaming chops: Handles modern titles smoothly, including beta releases. Quiet during light tasks: No fan distraction when not gaming. Solid build & display: The 144 Hz Full-HD panel really elevates the gaming experience. A Couple of Notes: Fan noise under heavy gaming: Consider using headphones or setting fan curves if the noise gets distracting. Memory/Storage Expansion? If you plan to handle large game libraries or heavy multitasking, you might want to upgrade RAM or add extra storage down the line.

I’ve been extremely happy with this HP Victus so far. The Ryzen 7 7445HS paired with the RTX 4050 delivers excellent performance for both gaming and productivity. Games run smoothly at 1080p, and the 144Hz display makes everything feel very responsive and fluid. The laptop feels solidly built, stays reasonably cool under load, and handles multitasking with ease thanks to the 16GB of RAM. Boot times and load times are fast with the 512GB SSD, and the keyboard is comfortable for long sessions. Overall, this is a great balance of power, display quality, and price. Whether you’re gaming, working, or doing creative tasks, it performs exactly as expected. Very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it.

This laptop handles things fantastically! My partner and I game a lot, and we wanted something more limited space friendly, that we could enjoy games on. We play all sorts of games, from Sims, or Peak, to DayZ or Fallout 76. We’ve never run into an issue with graphics, lagging, overheating, or anything else of the sort! I can’t really speak on battery life, as we leave it plugged in most days when we play (which isn’t necessarily great- but we play for hours on end sometimes, so having it have access to constant power is good for us) - however, on days it has been unplugged, it never dies quickly- and it doesn’t die if left unplugged overnight (like some other laptops we have owned previously) This Laptop comes with tons of the gaming/streaming necessities. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good gaming laptop!

This laptop is my first "gaming laptop" and only my second laptop ever purchased. The main thing that stands out is the center of the keyboard gets hot. I thought it may have had to do with the fact the vents are on the bottom of the laptop (dumb place for vents) and maybe not enough air was circulating so I put a small box under the end to elevate it off the desk some - it's not helping, so I'm now shopping for a laptop cooling pad. That said, this laptop checked off most boxes I had when shopping for a new laptop. These are some of the things I wanted and are included: - A numeric keypad - A backlit keyboard - Compact size - Lightweight - A quiet fan - Budget friendly but not "cheap" - Reputable brand - Decent amount of RAM - Ryzen 7 A couple things I wanted that this doesn't have: - USB C power supply (learned after researching most gaming laptops require pin style power adapter because they require more power - there were some laptops with USB C power adapters, but not many that met my specifications) - More USB ports would be nice. This one only has 1 USB C and 2 USB A ports I use an external wired mouse, connect an external hard drive, sometimes use USB headphones, and a USB printer, so 4 USB ports would have been nice. I have adapted though, I got a small USB C docking station that provides 3 additional USB ports, so while I hate having to connect a peripheral to have more USB ports, it suffices. Overall I like this laptop, it is definitely better than the old Toshiba I had. So far it is performing well. It boots up quickly and runs well. I purchased it in November 2025, and started using it in January 2026. It's a good laptop at a good value.

For video editing (my main use), it's a dream machine—Adobe Premiere Pro flies on this Ryzen 7 + 16GB setup. Timeline scrubbing, effects, color grading, and exports are quick and responsive, even with 4K footage (proxies help for heavier projects, but it's rarely needed). The Mica Silver finish looks sleek and professional too. Only minor nitpick: 512GB fills up fast with games and footage, and while 16GB RAM is solid now, I might upgrade to 32GB down the line when prices drop (easy access on this model). But for the money? Unbeatable value—handles modern AAA titles like Battlefield 6 effortlessly and doubles as a serious creative workstation. If you're hunting a budget-friendly RTX 4050 gaming/editing laptop that punches way above its price, grab one of these open-box deals while you can. Highly recommend—I'm thrilled with this beast! Pretty good gaming laptop, it’s sturdy, not flimsy feeling at all, i’m not a technical person but it’s a really decent laptop, has nice screen and screen size, no issues settings up, good connectivity, downside: battery life is kinda awful, it’s very large, so it’s not very portable, 512gb is not a lot, but I would recommend getting a external hard drive, plays my docked console well and had no issues with compatibility, even added a external capture card, so overall I definitely would recommend this to anyone wanting a laptop,

[FARCRY4 Graphics in photos presented!] I expected it when I saw the other reviews but I would also like to mention that the laptop has some issues with the wi-fi connection dropping for a few seconds to minutes but I was able to fix this I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of making sure your internet drivers were installed correctly. (windows has their own built in fix which helped me with this pretty quick.) Now, I'm not a heavy gamer but I recently just got into Far Cry and realized I would definitely have to upgrade from my intel graphics laptop before I got to the 4th game. It runs like a dream and I have only Best Buy and black Friday to thank for that haha, so thank you! Truly a steal considering the capacity this laptop has. (besides the battery life being meh but that wasn't a big worry for me as I game from home only.) AND!!! it is a major plus that there is room to update to a larger SSD although a little bit of learning is definitely required for that because you'll have to copy the driver onto a new one as far as I'm aware. It's still a really nice option to have since I couldn't afford very much when I initially purchased this. I'll definitely become a regular at best buy soon enough. :) (P.S. sorry for any spelling errors, I suck at typing on keyboards still even as an adult.)

I've owned this model for almost a year at the time of this review. The laptop overall is solidly put together with it's plastic construction. The hinge is descent as well, with only a slight wobble if you're moving it and I cannot say how it is when it is used on the lap - I've never used it as a "laptop." The processor/iGPU with the RTX 4050 both work well with each other. I don't play a lot, if any, AAA games so there has been no issue with any game I play across the various store fronts. The display is a 1080p with 144hz refresh and for me, this was the first monitor I played a game on that had a refresh rate above 60 and it was great. Battery life is not all that great, especially if you will be playing games. For me, an average session where the battery was 100% and drained to 20% is usually about 35 to 45 minutes. Remembering this is a lower end, gaming HP laptop, it comes with OMEN Gaming Hub software and there is HP software outside of gaming you'll contend with. This model's process has three operation modes: Default, quiet, and ECO. There is no other "boost" available for this processor in the software. There is a fan boost switch to put the fans at max speed when heavy processor or GPU is going on. Overall, a good budget laptop. Lastly, to reiterate: This review was submitted almost a year after purchase and my thoughts probably do not reflect the good of this laptop in light of the current conditions of extortion-price RAM and storage - if you can find one on a good sale or a well taken care of pre-owned, could be a good buy.

Computer runs smooth running games like fallout 76, battlefield 6, and arc raiders at low graphics. Battery life is ok, best to keep it plugged in, and depending on the game you could run it for 2-6 hours without charging. Weight isnt as bad as some would think, portable enough to bring to the office or worksite to use, again just have it plugged in to keep high battery life.

Perfect size laptop I needed for photo editing! The speed is amazing, the memory size is great(if not the best in it's comparable range). I love the light up keyboard features that allow me to still use the laptop at night while everyone else is asleep. This laptop also fits perfectly in my personal backpack used for traveling. I love the bright graphics which is just what I need for the edits and logos. Photos of some photos attached for reference of graphics.

I bought this laptop about a month ago, and so far it’s been able to max out the frames on my monitor, holding a consistent 144Hz in almost every game. It’s definitely worth it, especially for the price I paid. My only concern is the storage—since it’s a gaming laptop, 512GB isn’t the option I’d recommend. Another concern is battery life. If it isn't plugged in the battery runs out in around 3 hours, which isn't bad, but I would recommend to have to plugged in for the best performance. Everything else is great.

I wanted this laptop to replace my previous one that ive had for 10+ years and is now broken. I can play games and store document and images and use it for whatever i need. Due to playing many games and some of them are very large, id advise avid gamers to purchase an SSD the can, at the very least, plug into the ports. Id also advise to purchase a port hub so you have more type c and type a ports which will be needed if you play with controller and mouse for various games. Despite being very close to running out of space before the SSD we got, the speed never slowed down.

As someone who sells electronics back in Bulgaria I can tell you, this laptop is worth the price especially if it's on sale. I got mine for around 650-700$ or something along that. The display, keyboard and battery life are great. It performs good in games and in drawing/animating software. The GPU and CPU render videos and drawings fast. A few things to consider tho, Ryzen CPU paired with Nvidia GPU is not the best but it works (personal preference is to pair Ryzen CPU with Radeon GPU and Intel CPU with Nvidia GPU). If you are going to use it mainly for gaming go ahead but buy a cooling pad/system for it (it doesn't overheat fast but it can get pretty warm if you keep it on your legs) and when you play for more than 30min-1h on a DEMANDING game, it's better to plug it in, otherwise the battery will be depleted. Overall it's a nice and solid pick for such a price.

Overall, this laptop delivers excellent performance, a smooth and vibrant display, and solid battery life in a clean, premium-feeling design. I would give this computer 5 stars. I have been using it for gaming and it has been running very smoothly. The performance has been great, games load quickly, and everything feels responsive. I’m very happy with this computer and would recommend it to others looking for a reliable gaming laptop.

I've only had it for a month, maybe two, but i'd say as a college student getting their first gaming laptop this works pretty fine. Built way better than my previous more budget laptop. Though I'm sure the entirety of the laptops build is plastic, it is sturdy, not flimsy plastic that feels smooth and good. I am not that extreme of a gamer, but was getting tired of most stream games, and sometimes even Roblox lagging when playing with friends so my sole purpose of getting this laptop was more or less to be able to game more smoothly with friends, and it does the job! I am able to play games, and be on a call at the same time usually. There is never really bad lag in the games unless you try to play more demanding games. Unsure how it'd function then but for more lighter/ medium leveled games it works like a charm. Pretty sure fortnite works swiftly too. Just make sure you're using this on a TABLE and not a bed while gaming, the bottom tends to heat up alot when gaming, which i'd say is one con. Besides ofc battery life merely being over 3 hours, maybe almost 4, when you're not gaming. ALWAYS ALWAYS keep the charger in while gaming if not battery will drain in literally an hour!!! But overall for whats considered a "budget" gaming laptop I say for those not looking for something extreme, and new to the gaming world this works great!

This is a great entry level gaming laptop for someone not super into gaming. Runs well and can run mostly any game. Only drawback is the space which is why I would recommend a SSD.

Amazing quality for the price. I am a content creator and student, and this laptop handles all my needs extremely well. I've had it for three months, and I will say that video editing can lag a bit since there's only 16 gigs of memory, and I wish they gave us a 1 TB SSD instead of 512, but overall, this is a great laptop for the price on sale. It has handled all my work tasks extremely well and I'd highly recommend it to a content creator on a major budget. In terms of gaming, this seems very solid as well and can handle most games. I will say my only problem with this computer is the battery life and video editing lag. When handling major tasks, the computer can be very slow and the battery doesn't last that long, but overall this is an amazing value for the price and I'd highly recommend it. Video editing lag during large projects is expected since this is a laptop that doesn't have the most advanced specs. I will say that I don't really think you can get better specs at this price range, though, and this laptop has served me greatly. Absolutely recommend.
