The good news for survivalist poacher Harlan (Joel Kinnaman) was that he had successfully tracked a crashed plane in a frozen lake and relieved it of it's multimillion cash payload. The bad news was that young game warden Annie (Cara Jade Myers) got the drop on him. The worse news was that so had a pack of heavily armed mercenaries. White-knuckler from director Stefan Ruzowitzky (InchThe CounterfeitersInch) also stars Danny Huston, Graham Greene, Martin Sensmeier, Frida Gustavsson. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.
Intriguing, intelligent adaptation of John le Carré's spy thriller stars Sean Connery as Barley Scott-Blair, an expatriate British who hopes to attain an important manuscript of Soviet military secrets before the CIA and KGB does. Michelle Pfeiffer is the beautiful go-between, Klaus Maria Brandauer the scientist author of the piece, and Roy Scheider an American operative. Filmed on location in the Soviet Union, director Fred Schepisi's drama co-stars James Fox, John Mahoney. 123 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack English stereo; Subtitles English.
El Paso DEA agent Ray Seale (Dave Bautista) understandably took it badly when a cartel strike claimed one of his unit. Turns out the dead man left little for his family-and Seale's teenage son Cody (Jack Champion) sought to make things right. Not with a beef & beer, but by gathering the other agents' kids, helping themselves to their parents' gear and intel... and ripping off the stash houses of the drug runners. Bobby Cannavale, Sophia Lillis, Tony Dalton, Kate del Castillo also star. 127 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.
