    A good pg 13 horror

I'm a sucker for a Blu ray digital combo pack; it wasn't hard to add to my digital library and I enjoy a classic ghost story horror.

    I enjoyed it!

Pros: Great closure to the franchise. Nice slipcover. Cons: No 4k release. No 7.1 surround, Atmos or DTS-X.

Freaky but in a great way!

Insidious movies are all pretty freaky; this one is a prequel to the first Insidious movie. Elise whom is able to see the unseen, and travel to the unknown, dreams about her dark past as a child. She remembers her abusive father and the death of her mother. One day she is called upon to return to her childhood home to help a man who claims there is a haunting in his home where she once lived. As she accepts to return her two loyal helpers assist her, only to discover what really haunts her once called home... I gave this movie a 4 out of 5. The movie in my opinion is great until the ending. Not because of the prequel but because of how the evil is fought off!!

I hope this isn't the end of the series!

Very much like the Conjuring universe can continue on with case studies from the Warren files, this series could continue to weave some of the best mental traps, twists, turns and slaps I've seen in quite a long time. What I appreciate about the Insidious films is the lack of gore and violence - it's all head games and makes the mind boggle with paranormal possibilities. This "last key", which I hope is not the last of the collection, is just as solid as the first 3 in acting, filming, mind games and edge of the seat thrills. Joe Bob says check it out.

    Good Prequel

You would think the fourth installment of a horror franchise would be "more of the same", but this one manages to stay fresh and since it's actually a prequel that takes place before the first Insidious film it is able to avoid the normal pitfalls. And it's written so that one doesn't have to see the other 3 films to understand what's going on.
