For over a year I have been frustrated with needing four remotes to work on my very uncomplicated TV/BluRay/Roku/sound bar. While it is pretty easy to find a universal remote for TVs and DVDs it is a bit more difficult to find one that works with Roku and darn near impossible to find one for a sound bar. This was really frustrating me especially since my TV and sound bar are both the Insignia brand. (Why not make them work together?) I had looked at several universal remotes but none seemed to fit the bill for me. At least one that I would be willing to spend the money on. Can't justify a $350 remote for a $350 TV setup. So when I saw this at Best Buy I was really interested to see if it worked. I did some checking online and it said it worked with the Roku. Great! But what about the sound bar? I saw some suggestions online so I figured I would give it a try. Works like a charm. Controls all of my devices perfectly. Setup was very simple and my codes worked first time except the sound bar. I had to try two different ones for that. It doesn't say it anywhere on the package but it does require 2 AA batteries that are not included. My only complaint is there is no eject button for the BluRay/DVD. Also there is a row of colored buttons that are not explained anywhere. Don't see to do anything with my stuff. In my opinion this a very solid remote and does what it should.

Somehow I lost (in the house no less) my original remote for my Insignia HDTV, after some hemming & hawing I decided to pull the trigger on a replacement remote & I couldn't be happier. Interesting enough even though the remote is Insignia-branded, it does not come with Insignia codes but it still pairs rather easily. It can also be set-up with a streaming device (Roku, Apple TV) & Blu Ray players & cable boxes. I purchased mainly for my TV (changing input to switch between cable box & Apple TV), after pairing with Optimum cable box, it made their supplied remote redundant. One issue so far is no capability to set the timer for my TV but I need to spend more time getting used to & seeing if the function is in a menu somewhere.

This remote solved my entertainment dilemma perfectly. I had a remote for my Samsung TV, an Apple TV remote, a BluRay player remote, and a Samsung sound bar hooked up with no remote because my dog chewed it up. I was looking for one remote to control all 4 devices. After reading the product description and reviews, I found that this remote controls the Apple TV, so I decided to try it out. It couldn't have been a better fit. Setup was simple. My only complaint is that the instructions don't tell you how to control the Apple TV. To turn it on, press the OK button. The 4 directional buttons mimic the big circle on the Apple TV remote. The OK button is the select button. The Exit button takes you backwards in the menu. Other than that, I've been very happy. You can even set the volume buttons to lock on the device that controls volume so that you don't have to press the device button first.

This remote was easy to use, and easy to set up with both my TV and my cable Box. It's large enough to not lose but not super bulky.

This remote worked great. It is inexpensive and I had no issues connecting it to my tv, cable box and Blu-ray player. However, I purchased this for a room that has an older generation Apple TV and it is not compatible. This was the main reason I purchased it, so I had to return it. Great remote, but it just didn’t meet my need to fill in for the older generation Apple TV remote.

This was a replacement for our Insignia remote that the grandson broke. It was easy to program and works for both the TV and the cable box. You just have to remember to switch between the devices on the remote when you want to change channels or back to TV to adjust volume or turn it on/off.

Very easy to set up. There are still some functions for my Roku that I can't figure out. Only problem is that there are not many instructions on how to control different electronics. It's pretty much just trial and error. At least I can turn on and off everything with one remote.

When my fiancé moved in with me, we somehow lost the remotes for her Vizio TV and Apple TV, which we planned to put in our bedroom. After searching high and low for them without success, I drove over to my local Best Buy to pick up a universal remote. This Insignia Universal Remote stood out to me because of its simplicity, low cost, and compatibility with streaming devices. I picked it up on sale for $19.99, and it has worked flawlessly. Programming the remote to work with our Vizio TV and Apple TV took about 5 minutes. Build quality and ergonomics are great; it fits nicely in your hand and has a solid feel. Range and accuracy are great. I do wish the remote was backlit to aid with use in the dark, but it's not a deal breaker by any means. (Note to Insignia: add a backlight in your next version.) Overall, I would recommend this remote to anyone looking for a cost effective, simple yet functional universal remote.

Good easy remote to use. Set-up was very easy which was nice, only negatives are it doesn't have certain buttons specific to certain devices, like no sleep timer for TV or open/eject button if using for blu ray/DVD player. But all in all, pretty good.

I bought this because I had lost the original remote to my smart TV. I was sceptical as to whether or not this would be worth it at the cost, but after using it now for a couple of months I must say that it is a perfect remote that does everything that the original remote did. & ties in my cable box & DVD to boot. Well worth the money.

Surprised no one has pointed this out but the instructions for this remote are incorrect. At least if you want to use the programmed features of this programmable remote. If you want to use Setup Method B (which most people probably do), the manual is written wrong and does not work. To address this, reverse the order of Step 2 and Step 3. Then it will program properly and works exactly as advertised. Pretty bad that the instructions are flat-out incorrect though. This remote is useless if you follow the instructions it comes with.

Just bought this. Pros: It works with my setup of a Roku 2, Samsung TV, VIZIO Soundbar and Sony Bluray Player. Handles well. Cons: Uses 2 AA batteries which are not included. No backlight. For the price, it is a solid universal remote.

This remote was very easy to setup, and it functions very well with my Samsung TV. It's features are very compatible, and easy to learn, along with the ability to store commands and operate with various TV's.

Looks like just the original came with the Tv, and is easy to handled and use, don't need to set up, just need to put the batteries and you are ready to go, just push the on bottom and start enjoying your Tv again.

Simple remote for multiple devices, my old Samsung TV from 2012 needed a new remote, the old one got worn out ad the buttons don't work so well having to press multiple times just to change the input. Step in this bad boy, simple to program, simple to use and works with many devices. Highly recommend.
