Sound is good enough if your TV does not have modern HDMI plug ins.

It seems there is less and less need for analog connections any more. I needed this for my van that has the drop down movie screen. The length is perfect and the price was cheap. The cables work great, as good as the original.

We had very old Sony-tower, surround sound speakers that would not work on our new Sony 4K HDTV. Everyone kept telling us we were going to have to get a new speaker system. We finally called Sony, and as we suspected, this simple converter was all we needed. I highly recommend this $6 converter, verses a $600 new surround sound system.. Speakers are speakers, you don't need new ones.

I bought this as an open item for the discount. I also had an almost expired $5 credit that I needed to use. It ended up not costing much, but its an excellent cable to have. I mostly bought it to plug an iPod into the aux input on a hotel room tv so I can use it as an audio player. It definitely doesn't hurt to keep one in the car because you just might want it at some point.

With an old book shelf stereo that has a cassette deck and line in capability with RCA sockets, this cable enables me to integrate an old walkman CD to play music through my cassette player and further postpone having to buy a newer unit that probably would not fit on y home office shelf.
