Buttons specially the navigator/arrows (left/right/up/down) is the concern specially when you have big fingers. It’s difficult to press them and you’ll end up pressing the wrong button or the button on the next.

Slightly different configuation than the Sony original , but does all the essential commands . I am pleased with it .

I purchased this remote to replace the original one that came in the package with the TV. In comparing the two remotes, the first thing I noticed was that the center buttons were different on the Insignia brand. It took a few minutes to play with the remote in order to get used to how it functions with the TV to see that the differences in button placement was not that confusing. While I could have purchased a Sony brand remote, the price of the Insignia brand was not bad given how well it functions, especially since the remote is needed to work the TV, and buying one online would have meant waiting for days or possibly weeks. If you need to replace your Sony remote, this replacement would be a good choice.

This Insignia replacement remote for Sony televisions works fine! If your remote looks similar to this one, it should work for your TV. This is for older Sony models and does a great job. The buttons line up just like on the original remote with few differences as to location on the remote. The 'display' button has i+ while the 'jump' button has arrows one above the other pointing left & right. Those buttons will show what's currently playing on the channel & take you back to the last channel you watched.

Works great.. Was very easy to set and looks just like the orginal. The remote works with just about any Sony TV.

This remote worked great out of the box for my Sony Bravia tv, you didn’t have to program it but it was pricey compared to other universal remote tv. One other thing I didn’t like the button layout at the middle is a wheel but the you have the tendency to hit the middle button which is enter because the four direction wheel surface area is too small. So for my wide thumb it doesn’t work well I often hit enter by mistake.

This remote worked right out of the box. I was afraid it might not since my Sony television was purchased in 2010. My ONLY complaint is that the buttons around the circular cluster for moving between functions are smaller than the original remote and , therefore, more difficult to get a feel for. Overall, very pleased with this remote.

Works well just like the original Sony remote. Just that some of the buttons are missing like the voice command, etc. Use primarily to change volume and Input Source and Sound Source...for those reasons alone it's great. As replacement, it's great at the sale price.

I lost the original and needed some kind of replacement. I originally went to best buy to look at the LG harmony whatever it was called. I saw this on the rack next to it and and it cheaper and made for Sony. Came home and popped batteries in and it just works. No programming needed. Hopefully this one doesn't grow legs and run away.

I bought this remote for my Sony TV and it works like charm. No issue at all. Though this does not have the exact Sony TV Remote layout like the Netflix, Google button but it's all ok. I can find the icons on the TV and click with this Remote.

This remote works great. I have a sony bravia tv and don't have to program the remote at all. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a netflix button and that the arrow buttons should be raised a little more because sometimes i accidently press the buttons beside them.

What is a good value for me, remote went out on a newer TV so I purchase this, then actually my TV went out so I kept the remote thinking well you never know. Then the remote went out in my bedroom I had this one works great for that TV too, would recommend

When a friend gave me his old TV so I could have something for my new apartment, he couldn’t find the remote. This Insignia worked like a charm! No programming whatsoever. I’m now able to use each and every feature of the Sony Bravia. Worth the money!

This remote works great for just your television. I was told it would also control my Sony sound bar as well.. it does not. But all the tv functionalities work. The directional buttons are a bit hard to hit precisely sometimes though.

My kids are constantly losing the backs of the remote, and therefore, I need to replace or live with tape. I rather replace. Looks almost identical to the original. Appears to operate all of the same functions, though.

Nice remote, the button layout similar to my 10 yearsold Sony remote that i lost. All button work well with my Sony TV, what not to like :)

Geek Squad was unable to replace the remote because their parts vendors no longer had any in stock. I paid $400 for an extended warranty on a Sony XBR55X850 and was told to buy something similar and then go through their reimbursement process. Anyway, my local Best Buy store STOCKS this remote which is 99% like the factory model. It worked right out of the box without any pairing, etc. In conclusion, I paid $37 and change, at a Best Buy store, for this remote and waited 2 weeks to get my money back. Go figure. Remote = 5 star / Geek Squad = 0 stars.

Worked great right out of the package. It didn't need programming for my Sony - 65" Class X900H Series LED 4K UHD Smart Android TV. Just insert batteries and go!

Works great for our older Sony LED TV. Had spent time trying to find a remote replacement on line and this was much less expensive

After looking at the prices for Sony brand replacement remotes we decided to try out this insignia instead which was about half the price. Setup couldn't have been easier, I simply opened the package and the remote was already ready to go. It looks nice enough and performs all the functions necessary to use our television. Understandably the remote doesn't do any special functions specific to our tv however, there is no microphone for the voice commands, no button to access the discovery bar, and many of the special buttons on this remote don't seem to correspond to anything in particular. I know it's difficult to make a universal remote that does lots of tv specific features but considering this is one for just Sony tv's it would be nice if the buttons were programmable or setup to perform common Sony functions. We're using this on a 2017 Bravia 4k, so if you have that just know you'll have slightly limited functionality. Otherwise great deal if you just need something to make the tv work like we did (open box tv from Best Buy).
