I bought this for my wife who is in college. She tried to scan her book into her laptop. It works ok but the quality on the screen isn’t very good. The item doesn’t recognize the bends in the book where the pages come together so that area is distorted when it scans to your computer.

Terrible. The software that came with it was terrible and it was not easy to use. I returned it.

The IRIScan Book 5 Wireless Portable Document Scanner is exactly what I was looking for. I can now scan articles, recipes, photos, etc, and share or save wirelessly, without a tablet or laptop. Scanner and application connection via Wi-Fi is hard to achieve the first time, and may become annoying if your phone "insists" on connecting to your home Wi-Fi by disconnecting from the scanner.

I was able to scan books and documents with ease. I now have more room in my apartment. Highly recommended!

Like many products now days, you have to download the software from the manufactures website. I have Windows 10 and it would not download. Spent a lot of time trying to get the software to work, but failed. The maker of IrisScan does offer tech service over the phone. I sent a email and they did not contact me for four days. By then, I had returned the item.
