The JBL Control 65P/T is a compact full-range, two-way pendant-type loudspeaker designed for open-ceiling applications, using JBL’s Radiation Boundary Integrator (RBI) technology to deliver consistent, wide coverage throughout a listening space; it’s intended for applications such as retail, restaurants, hotels, casinos, fitness centers, convention centers, exhibit spaces, conference rooms, atriums, museums, and transit centers, and includes a built-in 70V/100V multi-tap transformer plus an 8-ohm bypass for conventional amplifier operation.
- Radiation Boundary Integrator (RBI) technology: JBL’s RBI technology (adapted from VERTEC line array design) helps deliver consistent, wide sound coverage throughout the listening area and supports a broad 120° conical dispersion so fewer speakers can cover the space.
- Two-way coaxial design with wide coverage: A coaxially mounted 5.25-inch low-frequency driver and 0.75-inch textile soft-dome high-frequency driver provide full-range sound while maintaining even pattern control over a wide 120° conical coverage angle.
- 70V/100V transformer taps + 8-ohm bypass: Built-in 60W multi-tap transformer supports distributed 70V/100V systems (70V taps: 60W/30W/15W/7.5W; 100V taps: 60W/30W/15W) and can be switched to direct 8-ohm operation for conventional amplifiers.
- Pendant suspension system for open ceilings: Single-point mounting with included suspension hardware allows secure hanging in open-ceiling installations; suspension cable systems are included with adjustable-height cable fasteners and safety provisions.
- Outdoor-capable, paintable enclosure: Designed to withstand demanding environments (Mil Spec 810 for humidity/salt spray/temperature/UV and IP44 splashproof capability) and the enclosure/grille can be painted to match décor.
