A: Nope. Just plug it in and use it. I know this is a scary purchase. We debated and debated but this charger has been working out great. It was easy to install and it just plugs in and you can use it. It is as advertised. Hope this helps.
A: In most cases a regular 20-amp breaker would suffice, as long as you don't have other high-draw devices on the same circu Level 2 chargers can draw 40 amps. So you needa 50 amp breaker. All of these requirements can vary. This Level 2 charger is 40 amps. But l still have it on a 50-amp circuit. For a maximum of 50 amps, you’ll need a wire gauge of 6.

A: Works like a charm for my 2022 Mach e! Charging is set to start at midnight or lowest rates and stop when battery gets to 80% charge.
Q: How long to charge and type 1 or 2
A: Type 2, and depends on your vehicle, I own a Lexus NX 450h+ with a 6.6 onboard charger. If I use the included Type 1 (standard 110 outlet) cable it takes about 12.5 hours to charge. With this Type 2 JuiceBox 40 on a 50 amp circuit, it takes 2.5 hours to fully charge.
Q: Will this work with a 2018 chevy volt?
A: Yes, if it has the J1772 connection. With this home charger you can expect to add approximately 31 miles of range per charging hour.
Q: Will this work with a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe?
A: Yes, I use it for my Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, I would imagine the system is the same as the Wrangler 4xe.
Q: Can this be installed outside meaning is it water/snow proof?
A: It is supposed to be weather proof, and comes with a locking mount to prevent theft. Only thing to cautious of is that it needs to be on WiFi.
