Cooking is relatively easy once you figure out how to asjust the top and bottom vents to regulate temperature. I bought a charcoal basket which makes dealing with the charcoal easier. You must use hardwood lump charcoal as with all Kamados. Food came out extra tasty, juicy and delicious. Takes many hours to fully cooldown due to the heat retention of the ceramic body. BB price matches ao got it for $300. A good investment, should serve me well for many years. Their lifetime warranty on ceramic parts is a plus.

It takes less charcoal than its bigger brother which saves you money on that end. Its also portable, making it the perfect companion for camping or get togethers. Overall, if youre not looking to smoke whole briskets or ribs, you wont regret this kamado.
