About this product
Limited maroon and black colored vinyl LP pressing. Raised, and still rooted in West Texas, Kat Hasty's songs have been shaped by the desolation of the desert, the rough and rowdy crowd that comes through these small oil towns, and early signs of depression and an ever present sense of melancholy. Kat Hasty is stepping into a bold new era with her sophomore project, The Time of Your Life, set to arrive this May. The album marks her first full-band project and a significant departure from the stripped-down acoustic style that introduced her to the world. The Time of Your Life is more akin to the energy of her live shows, embracing a full band accompaniment while still holding tight to the West Texas perspective that sets her apart. Through it all, Kat is balancing the demands of a rapidly growing career with motherhood, raising a five year-old while chasing artistry that lasts. InchI just want to make a great record,Inch she says simply. InchNothing else really matters. I'll keep working until I make a record that stands the test of time.Inch If The Time of Your Life is any indication, she's well on her way. Album Tracks 1. The Family Business 2. Breaking Up the Band 3. Chance to Be Alive 4. The Time of Your Life 5. The Best We Can 6. You Get Half 7. Midland 8. Kalispell 9. Idaho 10. The West Ain't Wild Anymore 11.

Still Life has been shaped by Katuchat's various musical influences Arca, Vegyn, Sophie or Boards of Canada, artists who inspire him in the production of complex and detailed rhythms. For his first album, he wanted to experiment with more melodious sounds but also to diversify his music by collaborating for the first time with other artists (Chester Watson, Lia...). Music being omnipresent in his daily life, his inspirations are as multiple as indefinable. We find them in what surrounds him, in the places, the interactions, the events which, unconsciously, directed the creation of the album. This idea inspired the artistic direction of InchStill LifeInch the music is kind of a time capsule, which we can listen to again later to rediscover past moments of life, remembering the circumstances in which we first listened to it, and in his case, created it. Electronic music allows the listeners to attach their own interpretation and their own emotions, be they joyful or more melancholic. Album Tracks 1. Sirocco 2. Prairie 3. Home Is Not a Place Feat. Chester Watson & SØLV 4. Pink Satin 5. Dust 6. Together in Delight Feat. Lia 7. Memento 8. Flashover 9. Santa Rosa 10. Baby Blue Eyes
