    Beautiful & Great Quality Cards!

    The new MLP trading card game is quite easy to learn to play! The cards are so cute and pretty! Even the common cards still have a holo pattern. Uncommons have texture on them! The alt-arts or full-arts are exceptionally beautiful! The only downside is that the starter decks come with only 3 Friendship Begins booster packs, which you can only find in the starter decks - not available to purchase separately. The cards in the Friendship Begins booster packs are different than the ones found in the Fanstasy Wonderland booster packs. This makes pulling the alt-arts in the Friendship Begins booster packs quite difficult - you'd have to buy multiple starter decks in order to get a lot of Frienship Begins booster packs to open or find a lot of other people to trade with. The accompanying photo show some of the alt-art/rare cards that you can pull from the Friendship Begins booster packs. I've had to trade in order to get multiples of the same Fluttershy card.

    Gorgeous Cards, Great Game!

    My wife bullied me into buying these decks to play with her and honestly, as an avid enjoyer of TCGs, I am thoroughly impressed by the quality of the cards and the depth of the gameplay. With elements of Lane Control like Riftbound, a Resource System that feels like Don!! from One Piece and Lands in MTG, and a life System like Prize cards from Pokemon, but Security effects from Digimon, this game scratches a lot of TCG itches!

  • Why can’t I buy a single character? If I order it online, is it random?

    Best Buy messed up internally when putting this in the system. They only added one SKU and that is the Orange Box which is Applejack. I had ordered 2 for pick up and 1 for Delivery. I went to pick up and they tried to hand me 2 of the same deck. I said Im canceling the order because why would i want two of the same deck. They looked into this and turns out 10 out of 10 times you will get Applejack because that is the only SKU in the system. Your best bet is to go to the store and pick from what they have. Oh, but to finish my story. They did let me return 1 of the decks since i didnt leave the store with it, but only for store credit. Which was pretty lame but i just turned thst into booster packs of the first set Fantasy Wonderland. The next day my order for delivery showed up and guess what, it was also Applejack. Like why Applejack! Why couldn't have been Rainbow Dash or Rarity or anything else. But actually so far I have to say the best out of the box deck is probably Fluttershy!

    Its not random. You will only get Applejack... unless they fixed the SKU issue.
