Purchased this camera to go with my kenwood dmx 9706s and the kenwood cmr 320. They are awesome together once you figure out how to install them to get them to work together on the touchscreen. Took ke 2 days to figure it out. So if you plan on installing it as a combo with the other camera i recommend professional instalation. This camera records great during the day. Awesome picture during the day but at night it doesn't have the best night capabilities. The fact that its controlled from the head unit is awesome, make sure you kenwood is compatible. The one downside and its a big one for me because its one of the reasons i got it is the driver assist features. First, the lane departure isnt available in the states, but it is everywhere else. Second ,and most importantly, they other 2 features don't work well at all. The forward collision warning goes off all the time when it pics up anither cars shadow in front or even your own cars shadow is the sun is behind you. So that feature is worthless i turhed it off the secind day i had it. And the feature that tells you that tge cars in front of you are moving when you are stopped is just as bad. That beeps and goes off all the time if your first at a red light and anything goes in front of you. Even if its the cars going from left to right in front of you. It goes off when you park and someone just walks in front of your car. So if you get this get it because ut records well and works well with other kenwood camera and head unit ,don't get it for driver enhanced features. Those are worthless but could be fixed with a software update.

This camera is excellent!!! Do not buy this camera if you do not own a Kenwood unit such as a DNX996. This unit only connects to Kenwood head units as an add on. The Kenwood headunit will allow you to display the screen. The headunit allows you to set functions such as collision alerts and how you want the camera to record in specific intervals. The headunit can also allow you to make the camera function as a "dashcam" or "front facing camera". The dash cam function will turn on the collision alerts which will make an audible sound and will display on your Kenwood head unit The front facing camera will allow the camera to turn on when you go from "reverse to forward" for example when parking a vehicle. When using the Kenwood unit you can also turn your camera screen on at any time The camera power cable plugs directly into the Kenwood headunit, but you will have to splice tap power and ground off the Kenwood. Basically when your Kenwood radio turns on so does the camera The camera also has security recording which will turn the camera and mic on ( if set ) on if it detects a bump using the camera gyroscope. You will be alerted on your headunit if an alert was created while you were out of the vehicle. Sensitivity setting can also be made for that as well. You can capture video/audio as well as pictures anytime while pressing the camera button It comes with a very secure mount that also allows for you to correct the settings if the level is out of normal placement due to vehicle size or glass shape. Not to mention you can record in HD which looks great when played on a regular tv and it will capture your speed and gps location....which is great if you're ever caught in a traffic stop situation and need proof. You will need at 32gb memory card, it only comes with 8gb. 32gb may not seem like much if you're recording multiple days nonstop, but it's plenty for the average consumer Great camera and I would recommend it to any Kenwood headunit user!

I love the kenwood dash cameras. This one in particular integrates into certain kenwood in dash radios and isn’t a stand alone unit. It works exactly as described and takes great video however it doesn’t display back in HD on the radio itself. When you get the video off the memory card the resolution is perfevt. Highly recommended

Provides exactly what I was looking for. I paired this camera with the Kenwood headunit. Very easy install and set up. Took about 30mins total. Quality is very good on HD. The SD card holds about a day of video. Also records sound. Definitely would recommend and buy again for another vehicle if needed.

Great dashcam. Good picture quality in night and day. The only concern I have is it gets a bit hot to the touch even when it's not in the sun but it has not caused any issues.

This is an excellent camera, it works really well. I wouldn't have it installed at Best Buy Store in Mayfield Ohio though, the car audio installers ther aren't knowledgeable reliable honest or good in any since of the word "installer", and the Head Manager there is even worse. Buy the camera but get it installed elsewhere is my advice.

Easy to install, configured quickly to my Kenwood head unit. Picture on screen looks great. Easy to download to a laptop to review video. Well worth the price.

The quality of this product is very good. Note that you will need to buy a separate video display which does not come with the product.

Got this to pair with my KENWOOD Excel head unit. It performs well and even records a special video when it senses an impact. This is part of my black box setup for Uber driving. It fits perfectly in front of my rear view mirror. All connections are via the head unit. No need for separate wiring.

Pretty cool! Works with my Kenwood receiver and can see everything on the radio! Has a lot of features!

Initially I had purchased this but did not realize you need a actually kenwood In dash for this to work at all. There is no ac power supply and it doesn’t really specify when you buy so clarification would be helpful

I purchased this camera for the integration with my receiver. I didn't want to go with a car plug version and the recording from the camera is great in day or night time conditions. It's also good with image stabilization as I run 2 kicker 12s and the camera shake is barely noticeable even when I'm pushing 95dbs and the car is shaking.

I decided to go with this camera since the head unit in my vehicle is also by Kenwood. It took me about 30 minutes to read and understand how it works and how to manually record video. It is simple and the video clarity is great. I've never had a dashcam before so I can't compare it to others. I am very happy with it.

Excellent dash cam integrated with my Kenwood head unit. Easy to install with strong adhesive that sticks to the windshield well. Looks good with good picture quality. Plenty of cable length. A bit pricey.

I have been happy with the quality, install, and results using this camera. Having never used a dash cam before, I was worried the about the image, but I have been pleasantly satisfied with the results. I would buy this product again and recommend it to others!

I went on line and chatted with a representative. I said that I wanted something that, while the car was parked, detect motion and take a picture. The representative pointed out this one. I set up an install appointment picked up the camera only to find out that it does not do that.
