Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re glad to hear your LOQ‑E Gaming Laptop is working well overall, but we’re sorry to hear it feels slower than expected and that the reported RAM amount caused concern.
To clarify, the LOQ‑E does include 16GB of DDR5 memory, and seeing 15.2GB available is normal. A small portion of system memory is reserved for essential background processes, which is why the usable amount appears slightly lower in Windows.
If performance still feels slower than it should, we recommend running and installing all available driver updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings. These updates are crucial to the device’s health and will affect graphics drivers, leading to improved performance. To check for updates within Lenovo Vantage, begin by launching the application, then select the “Check for updates” button on the top right-hand of the display. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, and finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.
The LOQ-E Gaming Laptop also allows you to cycle between higher performance, quiet, or automatically adjust based on your needs. To start, launch the Lenovo Vantage app, select the "Device Settings" tab from the left-hand side of the display, scroll down to "Power modes," and select the best mode based on your needs. We suggest using Performance mode, which will increase display responsiveness and improve performance from the CPU and GPU. You can also toggle thermal modes simply with the Fn+Q hotkey.

Excellent Performance and Great Value

I’ve been very happy with this laptop. The Ryzen 7 processor and RTX 4050 handle gaming and everyday tasks smoothly. The 144Hz display looks great, performance is fast, and the keyboard is comfortable to use. It boots quickly, stays responsive, and offers excellent value for the price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful gaming laptop without spending a fortune.

This laptop is okay.

For the price, this laptop offers a great screen and graphics card for viewing videos, editing, and gaming. For everyday tasks, it’ll definitely go above and beyond for basic projects, schoolwork, and bookkeeping. Gaming on low or medium graphic settings doesn’t seem to overheat the laptop for hours of play while plugged in. However, the casing itself is plastic and flimsy. The monitor feels very delicate and would not travel well in a school bag or backpack. I also noticed how poor the design was as it blew hot air toward the front of the monitor- especially when angled away from the user. Even the battery, for a student, only lasted for about two to three hours while working on everyday tasks. On low or medium graphic settings, the battery lasts only 45 minutes before reaching 30%. This laptop has to stay plugged in and needs a dedicated spot for use. Finally, if you don’t play that many games, 512GB of storage will definitely work. Otherwise, you’ll have to shell out more for an external hard drive, which was another reason why I had to exchange this laptop for a Lenovo Legion. I would recommend this to someone getting into gaming and content creation, as well as to those working from home. This was a great deal if you need a little more than a basic laptop.

Great laptop. I bought it for my grandson and he loves it. I think Lenovo is a wonderful computer. I bought mine 5 years ago and I love it, it works great! I truly recommend if you are looking to buy a computer you should buy a LENOVO
