A: Thats not normal, if its pretty loud and shaky then I believe the installation guy has forgot to remove the big bolts on the back of the washer which are supposed to be removed.
A: You can keep a flashlight handy so that you can read the panel. This was a major omission in design. I would have gotten a different washer if I had known this.
Q: Will this 4.5 handle king size comforters? Will it balance itself in the spin?
A: Generally speaking, 4 cubic feet is enough to wash 12-16 pounds of laundry. A larger capacity unit at 4.5 cubic feet can hold up to 20 pounds of laundry. A general rule of thumb is a queen size comforter can fit into 3.5 cubic feet and a king size comforter fit into a 3.8 cubic feet machine. ^CP
Q: The door is listed as not being reversible; what side is the hinged placed?
A: Hinged on the left - Matching dryer is hinged on the right. Good if placed side by side with dryer on the right.
A: Hi Joe! I just purchased this and I use delicate cycle d/t having many articles of clothing that need “hand washing” or “gentle”. Hope this helps
Q: Can a king size comforter fit in both the washer and dryer?
A: Yes, in a normal washer it would be 3-4 loads to get our clothes done each week, now it’s one load and the savings on our water bill has also gone down.
A: I've been meaning to connect mine to the internet but haven't done so yet. Been using the washer nonstop done we bought it a few weeks ago. Works just fine without it.
A: I have to respond to first answer given: In my question, I purposely said small and lower speed to show that I was not overloading the washer, nor using too high of a speed. But the answer mentioned both size and speed being at least part of the problem - so it was obviously not helpful. I don't think FIVE items or a bit over half-full should be considered too large of a load. And I first researched via LG website and Best Buy to seek solutions before I asked my question. Been doing laundry over 55 years and never had these issues. Was excited to get the new washer - the excitement has waned. Not being cranky - just want my washer to work!
