I've had this computer for 2 weeks, and it's been a lifesaver. The speed is great. I primarily use it with a docking station with a portable keyboard, mouse, and two monitors. My old computer was outdated and super slow, so I'm enjoying being able to have more than a dozen tabs open without any freezing or slowing down. My old computer also had a terrible battery that could barely last 45 minutes. The ad said this battery could last 10-15 hours. However, the max battery status I've seen so far was about 10 hours. The longest I've used it via battery is about 2 hours. I also like the 17 inch monitor. I'm preparing for a work trip, so this arrived just in time.

Very good laptop. high speed, even when running multiple programs at once. Very light as well. Great battery.

Crazy how light this machine is for the size. It's not going to take a tremendous beating so I wouldn't use it on a job site but for business use it's incredible. Very good specs and display and again, soooo lightweight.

I was looking for a new laptop with a large screen as I work with a lot of spreadsheets. Most laptops on the market have 14" or 15" screens. I have been very pleased with the LG Gram 17". It has the large screen I was looking for, but it also has nice clarity. And I especially like how surprisingly lightweight the Gram is as well.

There is no substitute for the Gram! It is the prototype for the light weight laptop with long life battery life. Worth every penny!

Awesome combination of latest tech, with durability of MIL-STD testing and lightweight packaging. One very nice bundle of design considerations.

Overall purchase experience was wonderful and my sales person was kind and knowledgeable. He was not pushy and he was patient with my limited tech savviness. I ended up returning the earbudes and later purchasing the headphones but that was my personal preferance not a reflection of the sales person. Im enjoying all my products!

This computer has been the bomb for my business! I love the CoPilot AI program, which has really helped me out and given me more insight to my projects. The display is so vibrant that you can see slight color differences in a rainbow. Amazing!

Lightweight for the size One of the biggest surprises: even though it’s a 17‑inch, I can toss it in my bag without feeling like I’m hauling a brick. When flying or walking between meetings, that matters more than you think. It’s much better than older 17‑inch laptops I’ve used. Big screen helps productivity Spreadsheets and QuickBooks open side by side are way more usable on a 17‑inch display. I don’t need to squint or constantly adjust window sizes. Having that extra real estate means fewer tabs, fewer "hide this, show that" toggles. Makes work go smoother when traveling and trying to do things quickly in a hotel or on an airplane tray. Strong memory + storage 32 GB RAM means even with many tabs open (I’m often in Excel, browser, QuickBooks, some PDF reader, maybe Zoom), it doesn’t choke. The 1 TB SSD gives me plenty of room for local files, backups, and I don’t have to worry about running out of space or lugging a big external drive. Battery life holds up well On lighter days (mostly spreadsheets, QuickBooks, a few browser tabs), I can get through much of a workday without plugging in. On heavier load days it drops faster, of course, but still better than many laptops I’ve used before where I have to hunt for an outlet by lunch. Durability is helpful The tough screen / tougher build gives confidence when traveling. Tossing it in differently sized bags, dealing with airport handling etc.—it’s reassured me that I’m less likely to worry about a screen scratch or minor bump. What I Don’t Like / What Could Be Better Chassis flex / quality feel Because it’s so lightweight, in some places (lid, keyboard deck) there’s a bit of flex. Not a deal‑breaker, but compared to more rigid business/ultrabook laptops it lacks that solid heft. When typing aggressively, sometimes the base shifts a bit. Heat and fan noise under load When I have big spreadsheets + QuickBooks + maybe some background syncs or backups running, it warms up and the fans kick in. It’s not terrible, but not quiet. Especially in a quiet airport lounge or plane, you notice it. Display brightness vs glare Working in coffee shops or near windows, sometimes the screen isn’t quite bright enough or anti‑glare isn’t ideal. If you sit by windows or outdoors a lot, that becomes more of a challenge. Also, tough/touch screens tend to bring more reflections. Cost vs sometimes premium‑looking competitors You pay a premium for the combination of 17", toughness, and portability. There are laptops that are stiffer, have better build, or more polished materials, though often with trade‑offs in weight or battery life. Travel Use Case: How It Fits for Me When I travel, here’s how it works: On flights: I can get airport or hotel work done (spreadsheets, QuickBooks) without plugging in right away. It gives enough juice for inflight tasks. In hotels: Enough battery life to do several hours of work in the evening without scrambling for outlets. Remote sessions: Good for handling remote bookkeeping, meetings, and screen sharing without lag (thanks to RAM + SSD). Portability tradeoffs accepted: I don’t mind the minor flex or slightly louder fan when push comes to shove because the payoff (weight, screen size) is worth it for what I do. If I were you and doing what I do — traveling, heavy spreadsheets, using QuickBooks, needing reliability on the go — I’d feel confident choosing this LG Gram 17. It’s not perfect, but the strengths (portability, screen size, good battery, enough power) outweigh the compromises. It’s probably one of the better big screen travel laptops you can get without having to lug a 15‑inch desktop replacement. If I could tweak one thing in future use: I’d want a slightly better cooling solution (or a mode that keeps things quieter), and maybe a brighter display option for outdoors. But even without those, it’s doing great.

The LG Graham is essentially, a desktop replacement. You have a large touchscreen, 17” WQXGA screen which is harder to come by these days as many laptops tend to now be 16” and lower. The resolution is 2560 x 1600 pixels which produces a sharp image, with a brightness of 320 nits (could be brighter but does fine in normal indoor lighting). The screen is anti-glare so reflections are at a minimum. The Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 2 processor is going to give you enough processing power for just about anything you need to do from all of the basics, all the way to heavier image editing and video processing. It works with the 32 gigs of RAM (great) and the Intel ARC graphics (good), so you’re not going to really want for more power at this price point. The 1 gig SSD drive is fast and going to give you plenty of storage for photos, videos, and games. For a larger laptop, the LG doesn’t weigh a lot at just barely over 3 pounds. At first it almost feels like a plastic body, but it’s really a tough composite material called “Nano Magnesium Alloy”, that’s been tested they say to military-grade standards for durability. Only time will tell, but generally, these composites are very tough. You get plenty of ports, including two USB-C thunderbolt 4 ports on the left side of the machine (fast), two USB 3.2 ports (right side), and a HDMI port (Left), along with a standard headphone jack. There’s a micro-SD memory card slot on the right side, though I would have preferred to see support for standard sized SD cards. The LG supports up to a 5K external monitor should you need it. Charging comes from a now standard USB-C style cable and power brick which is relatively small for a laptop. The battery is rated at just over 23 hours with varied use, but of course it will vary depending on what you do with it. I can go heavy on the video and some battery draining apps, and so far I’m going to say that give or take, I’m averaging between 12-16 hours. Still a VERY good performance, and I do tend to use the screen at high brightness. The keyboard is above average to good. They don’t feel cheap, and they are certainly serviceable. I can type for longer periods on it without being uncomfortable. The power button doubles as a fingerprint reader for security, and there is a 3 level backlight for the keys as well. The trackpad is good quality and does what you need it to do. The web cam has true 1080p resolution and is better than average in lower light, though it’s obviously a lot better in good lighting. You can blur the background to varying degrees as well as make other adjustments, and it’s good enough that you won’t have to invest in a third-party cam to be able to do video calls and meetings. As with many new laptops today, the LG includes Microsoft Copilot, so you can get AI assistance with writing, recomposing, creating images, or just generally asking questions. I find it to be a very useful tool. LG also includes their own AI assistant to help you find info about your computer and settings more easily, as well as links to support if needed. So far I haven’t had any issues with the LG. No hiccups with photo or video projects and while I’m not a heavy-duty gamer, everything I’ve played on it so far has run smoothly with no stalling. Though more basic, typical streaming on varied services has also gone without a hitch and the larger screen makes watching shows a little more enjoyable. Wifi connections have remained strong, as has Bluetooth with no disconnects of my wireless buds when using them. The Dolby speakers are more than good enough for streaming music and shows. I really like this laptop. I love the extra large quality screen, and having enough power to not worry about straining the system. Even when the fans do come on, they’re not obnoxiously loud. The only thing I would remind buyers is that while the LG is lightweight due to hit’s composite materials, it’s still a large laptop due to the screen size, so it’s not what I’d call ultra-portable – but it’s in my opinion again, more of a desktop replacement for home use. Worth the price. For me and for that, it’s a definite thumbs-up.

First off—this laptop is light. Like, ridiculously light for a 17-inch laptop. You read the specs and think, yeah, sure, but when you pick it up, it’s almost weird how light it is. At just over 3 lbs., it feels like there’s no way it could be this big and this portable. The 'Obsidian Black' finish is sharp, no doubt, but I was quickly infuriated with all the finger print smudges on the outside of the case. Typing on this thing is really nice. The keys have good spacing, and they feel good to type on—no weird adjustments needed. The number pad is a great addition, and I love that LG made the 0 key extra wide so it actually lines up correctly with my thumb centered under the 2 (like a normal person inputs numbers on a number pad) Little details like that just make typing feel more natural. The trackpad is smooth and responsive, though it could be bigger. But honestly, I’ll take a slightly smaller trackpad over one that gets in the way with my palm resting on it. The screen is where I was kinda let down. The screen isn’t bad, but for a laptop this nice, I expected better. The resolution (2560 x 1600) is decent, but you can definitely tell it’s not super high-res. At this price, I would’ve expected something sharper with a PPI of at least 200. Most people might look at me like I'm crazy but when you're looking at dense excel spreadsheets the extra PPI matters. It also has a matte finish, which helps cut glare (great for coffee shop people), but it makes the screen look a little dull to me. Again, that's a personal preference. I like a glass-like finish. The Intel Core Ultra 7 processor handled everything I threw at it—macro enabled spreadsheets, PowerBI databases, multitasking, no problem. I ran a Cinebench test just for fun, and it scored 480 on the multi-core benchmark. Basically the CPU is good. It will do the job you need it to, but with the Intel ARC integrated GPU it's obviously not built for heavy gaming or crazy video editing. As for the AI-powered Copilot button… eh. Microsoft already puts AI tools inside Office apps, so I barely touched the dedicated button. Maybe it’ll be useful down the road, but right now, I didn’t really care about it. The Thunderbolt 4 ports are a big win. I tested it with my 5K LG UltraFine display, and it worked perfectly. Ironically, since the built-in screen isn’t that amazing, I might just end up using this laptop with an external monitor when I’m home. Battery life seems pretty good too. I haven't personally traveled with this one yet, but I did use for a day unplugged with my normal 9-hour workflow and I still had well over half battery left. If I could give this a 4.6 out of 5, I would. Since I can’t, I’ll still round up to 5 stars. It’s not perfect—the screen could be better, it could have a better GPU for video editing, but overall, it’s a great laptop for the right person. If you’re looking for something super lightweight, portable, and fast for everyday work or school, this is an awesome choice.

The laptop runs quietly during normal operation, with fans rarely becoming noticeable. The display is sharp and bright, and the touchscreen is responsive and accurate. However, the glossy finish can lead to reflections in brighter environments. Audio quality is adequate for video calls and casual media consumption, but it lacks depth and volume compared to larger or more media-focused laptops. Build quality is good overall, though the extremely lightweight chassis can feel less rigid than heavier premium laptops. I recently purchased the LG gram 17” Touch Screen Laptop – Copilot+ PC with Intel Core Ultra 7, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD in Obsidian Black from Best Buy, and I couldn’t be more impressed. This machine is an absolute powerhouse wrapped in an ultra-lightweight design. The 17” touch screen is crisp, vibrant, and perfect for multitasking, media, and productivity work. Despite its large display, it’s shockingly light – making it ideal for working on the go without sacrificing screen real estate. The Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 2 processor combined with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD makes this laptop lightning fast. I’ve been running multiple applications, video calls, large spreadsheets, and creative software all at once with zero lag. The integration of Copilot+ features really takes productivity to the next level – AI assistance is smooth, intuitive, and genuinely useful for both work and personal tasks. Battery life has also exceeded expectations. Even with heavy use, it holds a charge well throughout the day. This laptop is a full size 17” with very fine screen and expanded keyboard. It is made of special military grade alloys that make it very light but robust. I was amazed how light weight it is. LG claims it to be 3.2lbs nad 0.74” thin. Very possible and honestly enjoyable. It is equipped with several connectivity ports, long lasting battery and high resolution sharp screen. The LG gram is nice to touch and easy to carry around. The keyboard needs some getting used to. Not the best keyboard but it is very firm click. The key travel is good. It can get a bit noisy but it is very premium. The Keyboard has enough spaces between the keys but the key-caps are a bit on the small side. The keyboard back-light is perfect. It has low and high setting. I find the low light setting to be good enough for any time use. Keys are firm and not rattling at all. The power button is also a finger print sensor. Very easy to setup and very fast logging in. The track pad is ok. I have smaller laptops with bigger pad. It is responsive and good for most of the tasks. I use the fast double tap and 2 fingers tap instead of the clicks. The click is also fine! It is available anywhere at the lower half of the pad. The Keyboard is seating high (toward the screen) offering a good space to rest your wrists. The LG gram is also low profile which is good for easy and nice typing. The screen is big. After using several 14” screens, you appreciate the very nice 17” WQXGA 16:10 display that can handle a very fine resolution. Nice to look at for long time doing office works, browsing the net and even watching videos. The colors are very vivid and the brightness can be set very high. It is also touch screen! Yes, the 17” is a touch screen capable. Supporting good gestures like pinch to zoom and click to select and slide. It can be useful sometimes. LG equipped this gram laptop with Intel Core Ultra 7. It is handling tasks very well while also being efficient. Battery lasts ~7h+ with above average usage. LG combined the Intel Core Ultra 7 with 32GB RAM and Intel Arc Graphics. All with 1TB NVMe storage. While it is not game dedicated graphic card, it is still very capable to provide above average experience. I’ve tried to put the LG gram to stress, the fans came on at full speed. They are not as loud as I expected. Running for good amount of time at 100% without any issues. The LG has a small charger block of 65W only that connects to the laptop by USB-C to any USB-C ports on the side. The laptop speakers are not that loud. They are clear and just ok. Full stereo with good gaming sound effects capable. It has an audio jack for better private listening experience. The laptop has a camera, on the top side of the screen. It says it is an FHD. Good enough for video calls and meeting. It also provides nice features like the “Eye Contact”. Creepy but nice in the same time. The camera is also equipped with IR that helps tracking your face movements and contributes to some AI features available with this LG gram. On the same side as the audio jack, left, this LG gram has a full size HDMI output and 2 Thunderbolt USB-C connectors. On the other side, it has a Kensington lock, 2 Full USB 3 and Micro SD card slot. Ready for business. WiFi is very fast if you have a good router. The range is very good. It looks like the chassis material is contributing to the signal strength. The same for the Bluetooth: Easy to connect, fast files moving and good range. On the Operating System side, this laptop has Win11 with Copilot enabled (dedicated Copilot key). LG also added some features that can be useful when using multiple screens. AI would help you moving a window from one screen to another just by holding the window and looking to the other screen. Also, it has some security features to blur the screen if you are not looking at it, pause any video play, and blur your selected area if another person is standing behind you. LG link also provide a good integration for your phone with the computer through LG gram link. It supports both iOS and Android phones. It allows you to use most of your phone functions through the gram screen and keyboard. What good about this LG gram: - Lightweight, slim and premium build. - Bright and high definition 17” screen. - Large Keyboard with full layout. - Very good camera with nice features. - Good performance with long lasting battery. - Built by LG! What is not so great about this LG gram: - The Intel Core Ultra 7 performance is throttled to save energy. - The keyboard needs time to get used to. - Minimalist design. More on the classic side. - The price… I’d recommend getting this LG gram if you are looking for a 17” easy to carry laptop with good battery life and connectivity. It is good to acquire when on sale. LG builds solid electronics.

I bought this laptop Feb 3. By Feb 13 I was sending it in for a warranty - and I still highly recommend this product. The laptop is a beast, and LG has been really good at a rare issue I had. The battery life is insane, and the power is top tier. The screen is great and I have enjoyed using this for personal and work things. The laptop is VERY light and does not get hot. This translates into using it wherever I am. Desk, table, couch, bed. It's really been a great machine despite the hiccup. I really can't say enough good things about this laptop.

When you think 17” laptop, you’re not typically thinking “lightweight and portable”, but the LG Gram re-defines 17” portability. While it is still a 17” laptop and that takes up a certain amount of space no matter how much you trim down the weight, when you throw this in a backpack, the weight feels more like a 14” laptop. Another part of the appeal is how little fatigue you get from having it sit in your lap for hours at a time. --Performance Now you might be thinking, what might you be doing with a thin and light laptop in your lap for hours at a time? Well, gaming actually, if you wanted to. Now when I ran 3Dmark, I wasn’t really impressed with the gaming score. But when you put it in practice, it holds up well to casual gaming. My two favorite games to put against any GPU, dedicated or integrated, is New World, which I consider to be a bit demanding, but typical of most modern games, then I also like Tribes 3 Rivals which is a fast pace first person shooter which has you zipping around the map, timing your shots perfectly. With New World you’re loading several game elements, players, and the world around you. I found this to be very playable on the lowest settings and locking in the frames per second at 30. There was times where I would experience some stutter, but nothing that would keep the game from being playable. Tribes on the other hand, played wonderfully. I didn’t have any issues speeding around the map. I would advise, however, that you will want to make sure no other apps are running as it can cause some frame drops when something is loading in the background. --Display & Design I’ve touched on design, but there are a few more things to note here. I like that I have two USB Type C and are thunderbolt 4 standard. There are also two USB Type A ports for legacy devices. This isn’t LG’s fault, but I’d love to see USB type A as a thing of the past. There’s a full-size HDMI port for connecting to an external display as well as a headphone jack. You’ll need the headphone jack because the sound on this laptop is not good. I don’t really expect a great sound in a laptop since very few have done it well, and LG is no exception here. You do get a full-size keyboard with a number pad. I love laptops with a number pad as I spend a lot of time in excel files. The power button also doubles as a fingerprint reader. The display is decent. It’s nothing special, a 2k touchscreen LCD coming in at 60htz. With only 300 nits brightness, you’re not getting HDR video content. I maybe wouldn’t consider this laptop if content consumption is your priority. The lid is also a little wobbly. This is especially noticeable when you’re using the touch screen. If you’re tapping different elements on the screen, the wobble is a little frustrating, but scrolling and moving around elements on the screen works great. --Battery and AI Battery life has been impressive as well. The laptop charges with an included wall dongle and usb C to usb C cable. I did a full charge when I got the laptop, and I prefer to opt in to features that may use more battery. This includes the screen on the brightest setting as well as keyboard backlight. I easily use for several hours and not even get down to 50 percent. No issues so far with sleep and standby, still plenty of battery life when I close the lid for hours and come back to it. If you’re looking to get a copilot PC, you’ll find this laptop does that as well. Copilot is Microsoft’s AI assistant that can help you search the web, summarize notes, create excel formula’s and more. There’s a dedicated key that will pull up the copilot app and you can easily ask it questions. The AI is assisted by the intel core 7 processor with the NPU performing 47 TOPs and peak TOPs at 115. It sips power at only 17 watt base power, and boosts up to 37 watts. --Other Thoughts There’s a few other features worth mentioning. Keyboard and track pad are on par with most other laptops. I wasn’t a fan of the keyboard at first as it seemed a bit stiff, but I think as I got used to it, my typing improved. It comes with a built-in webcam as most do these days as video calls become more popular. It’s great to see Wi-Fi 7 on this although I have not been able to hit my peak, 1Gbps speeds, which I found to be a bit disappointing. I even went as far as adjusting my adapter settings to get the most out of the network card, but without much improvement. My assumption is it’s a power saving feature to not draw full power on the network card. LG also includes several apps of their own including adjusting system settings, downloading updates, troubleshooting and more. I also noticed McAfee trial installed and immediately uninstalled. --Summary Overall I think the benefit to this laptop for most will be the incredibly light weight for its size, excellent battery life, all packaged in a 17” form factor for those who want a full size keyboard and trackpad, as well as the extra screen real estate. I do think there’s a few things that could be better. The screen wobble is maybe the most annoying for me, as I see it from time to time with normal typing but it makes the touch screen less desirable to use. Also, the sound could maybe be tweaked. It does sound better when it’s on a flat surface but I think the appeal is how lightweight this computer is to use on your lap. It never felt hot and never got loud enough to be distracting, even when gaming. I would say this is a great fit for travel or if you constantly have to carry your laptop around.

The first thing you’ll notice is how light this laptop is. The specs say it’s light, but you don’t really get it until you pick it up. Based on the size of the screen, I wasn’t expecting it to be this light. It also feels nice in the hand. I want to note that I average about 600 mbps. I pay for 1gig, but again, the consistent I see is 600 mbps. After doing some tests, I have to admit. The picture quality is great. Not 4k, but full HD on a new screen like this is really pretty. I checked out Netflix and ESPN and it was quick, great quality picture and the sound was superb. I tried this in a well lit room as well as dark. I’d say the well lit room performed how it should, so I can say you can use this for both work or personal use. The dark room was good, but I can tell you I don’t plan on steaming much with it. Not saying it’s not good quality, I just prefer to use my tv. I also did some game testing with this laptop and found it performed well! I wouldn’t replace this with my current gaming system, but basic games performed well. It’s an entry level graphics card, so I don’t recommend it for gaming. It’s saying it can optimize your performance and efficiency with its full AI Copilot. I haven’t fully pushed or explored this. What little I have explored with it, it’s impressive. Time will tell. Just to recap - I was extremely surprised. It packs a large screen, lightweight, and fast web surfing! Pros: Light Durable Battery life Large screen Thin Dolby sound Touch display Graphics HD resolution AI Cons: Price Graphics card is entry level Could be 4k picture Overall If you’re in the market for a fantastic laptop, this is for you. It’s fast, super light, thin and packs great quality. Only ding is the price, but the specs slightly justify the price.
