A: They are not backlit. It’s a spill-proof, dust-proof keyboard and kids can’t fidget with the keys and pull them off, thankfully. Some may not prefer this, but I think the feel of the keys when typing are really good. The workmanship feels good, not like some cheap keyboard product off of Amazon.
Q: How does the keyboard charge? Does it cell batteries or does it draw power from the IPAD
A: The keyboard draws power from the iPad, through the smart connector on the side of the iPad you probably didn't even know was there - I didn't. So, the keyboard does not need to be charged separately, a major plus.
A: The tablet knows when it is in a typing position and when it is placed/folded behind the tablet (to which it will magnetically stay in its position, not being a hindrance. This should allow it to not react when it is in a folded position for tablet use or drawing.
