Yes - if you select '7.1-channel playback (MAIN ZONE) + 2-channel playback (ZONE2) + 2-channel playback (ZONE3)' in the 'Amp Assign' mode of the Cinema 30, you can have two other speaker locations (Zones 2 and/or 3) in your home powered by the remaining channels of the Cinema 30. Q: Why isn't Dirac included? It is with a Onkyo that costs substantially less.
A: That is a mind boggling question. The Dirac is an application that would enhance the performance of the Marantz - Cinema 30, but Marantz did not have an agreement to include this package even though the cost of purchasing the Receiver is exceedingly high and one would think that the answer would be the reverse. I am still holding on and would like to see Marantz offer this option especially based on the purchase price.
A: Hello. The Cinema 30 allows for the attachment of up to 4 subwoofers. Room calibration is courtesy of Audyssey's auto set-up, which is included with the Cinema 30. Alternatively, The Cinema 30 supports the use of Dirac Live room claibration for anyone who wishes to purchase the user license from Dirac.

Absolutely astonishing!!
Ill first start this review by stating I am quite the audiophile currently running a 9.2.4 system. I replaced my denon x6300h which at the time was the best receiver I had personally ever heard… until I installed this. Blew me away in almost every aspect. Its nothing something you can even put into words how good everything sounds. If you are contemplating this do not hesitate. I will note this unit is several inches deeper than standard receiver so be mindful for certain installs.

The Birth of my Sound System
I'm still in the process of learning the Cinema 30. This item has quite a few features. Once connections are made, the simplicity in operating is straight forward and quick. The sounds are crisp and honors high fidelity at it's best. I am very proud to own such craftsmanship! As stated earlier, I still have a ways to go. Sometimes I may want to just listen to music without the television. I may or may not be able to champion. At the moment, I believe this item has to be linked to your TV (as one) for creating the home gateway. It has immense power you can not shy away from just turning that dial! Later, could be a much higher rating.

Very Pleased So Far
Very pleased so far. It has a lot of power and available adjustments. I haven't even had a chance to read and understand them all. So there is a lot of fun coming as I learn them. If I had one complaints, it's because 11 channel amplification and to use the full 13 you need another amp? Why couldn't they just ad 2 more amps or give you the opportunity for more speakers if you need to add amps anyways? I will add a new amp for the LCR in the future upgrade to utilize the full 13 channels
