The Marshall Bromley 450 feels like exactly what you’d expect from the brand, just tweaked into a more portable, party-focused setup. It leans heavily into volume, presence, and design, and after spending some time with it, it’s clear this speaker is built to be the centerpiece of a room or outdoor gathering. The first thing that stands out is the design. It has that iconic Marshall amp look with the black and brass finish, textured exterior, and physical control knobs. It feels durable and well-built, and the integrated handle makes it easy enough to move around despite its size. It’s not something you’re tossing in a backpack, but it’s very manageable for carrying between rooms, out to the backyard, or loading into a car solo. Sound is the main attraction here, and the Bromley 450 delivers. It gets very loud without sounding strained, and the 360-degree audio design does a great job filling a space so you’re not stuck in a “sweet spot.” Whether you’re in front of it or off to the side, the sound stays full and balanced. Bass has good presence without overwhelming everything else, and vocals and instruments come through clearly even at higher volumes. The EQ knobs are right on the control panel and are simple to use to shape the sound to your liking. It’s well suited for parties, but still sounds good at lower levels for more casual listening. Battery life is another strong point. With over 40 hours of playtime, this is the kind of speaker you can use across multiple days without thinking about charging. That makes it especially useful for trips, outdoor setups, or longer events where access to power is limited. The removable battery is a nice touch if you want to keep a spare charged and ready. The input options add a lot of versatility. In addition to Bluetooth, you get 3.5 mm aux, RCA, and even microphone and instrument inputs. That opens the door for things like karaoke, small live performances, or just plugging in different audio sources without needing adapters. I had fun setting it up as a portable busking setup and dialing in the reverb and delay. The clipping indicator LED on each instrument input channel is a nice touch so you can quickly tell if you need to bring levels down. These features go beyond what most portable speakers offer. The built-in stage lighting is a fun addition without feeling over the top. You get a few preset modes, including one that stays more ambient and others that are more energetic. It adds some energy in party settings but is easy to turn off if you just want that clean guitar amp look. With an IP55 rating, it also holds up well for outdoor use. It’s not something you want to leave out in the rain, but it can handle dust and splashes, which makes it more flexible for backyard or campsite use. Overall, the Marshall Bromley 450 is a loud, well-built speaker with strong sound quality, long battery life, and a level of input flexibility that sets it apart from most portable options. It’s not the most compact speaker out there, but if you want something that can anchor a party and still look good doing it, this is an easy one to recommend.

The Marshall Bromley 450 portable speaker was not at all what I expected. It has a handle and was described as being portable and easy to carry to parties, popped into a trunk or carried on a train. That may be true for a strong person, but not for me. It weighs about 40 pounds and it was a struggle for me just to get it out of the box. I can’t easily carry it across the room, let alone load it in my car. I expected it to be about half the size and weight. However, since I got it to use in my husband’s large shop, the unexpected size and weight shouldn’t be too big of a problem. The important thing will be the sound, ease of use and ease of making/keeping connections since he isn’t very technical. This speaker has drivers on the front and back, as well as tweeters on each side which gives a true 360 degree surround sound. The battery is large and is said to last for over 40 hours. There are 3 light presets. One is random moving lights and the other 2 move with the music in different patterns. There are inputs for a microphone and instruments, so it could be used for karaoke. It is dirt and splash resistant, making it a good choice for a beach party or picnic. The battery can be charged by plugging the speaker into an outlet or by removing the battery and charging it with a USB connection. The battery gave me some initial difficulties that weren’t its fault. There are indicator lights on both the battery itself and on the face of the speaker. Both indicators were solid red. I interpreted the red bars as “needs charging” and tried to get them to turn green. Nothing I did could get the color to change. I finally realized that red is the color and the number of bars indicates the charge level. The speaker is elegant looking. Although the finish is rubbery so as to be water resistant, it has a faux leather and fabric look. Hidden behind a water resistant door are a USB-C input, RCA jacks, ports to connect another speaker and inputs for the microphone and instruments. There are knobs on the front to adjust the treble, bass, etc., and the lights. There is a button to switch between Bluetooth, USB-C, RCA and Aux. It is simple to operate without a lot of complicated knobs and levers. If used as a stationary speaker, all the connections and fine tuning can be preset. Then all that a technology challenged person needs to do is flip the power switch. It connected instantly to my phone using Bluetooth. Although an app is available, it wasn’t needed. I’ve been playing music using a music app installed on my phone. The sound levels are numbered 1 - 10 and the 4th setting is as loud as I’ll ever need it. But if cranked up all the way, the sound would carry a long distance outside. All in all it’s a great speaker, although maybe not quite as portable as advertised. It is portable from the standpoint of having a long battery life and Bluetooth connectivity. The battery could even be charged using a portable charger to extend the play time beyond 40 hours. It's just a little heavy and bulky to fit into a small car trunk or carry on a train.

I have been a Marshall product fan for some time and have already invested in the other portable speaker products they have. I was excited to try out this Bromley 450 version as its larger to help with those large party gatherings. I was pleasantly surprised at how lightweight it was when unpacking along with how the battery is setup. Right out of the box, it was very easy to setup and came with a pretty good battery charged. I went ahead and charged the battery fully before use before started testing it. It connected to my bluetooth phone easily and produces great sound right from the start! I enjoy the treble and bass settings however wish it had more bass. The battery position and charge was very impressive. You can easliy remove the battery to check the charge level on the battery itself, to charge the battery itself without the whole speaker or use the large speaker without the battery. The battery is nicely snug and the cap allows for simple waterproofing when its outside. Of course you dont want to submerge the speaker however if its raining not to worry the speaker will survive in the rain. Overall the speaker sounds great and the battery life is very impressive. I do wish it had more bass, however it still sounds great and makes for a great portable speaker.

The Marshall Bromely 450 is a party speaker you won't soon forget nor will your guests. Ive brought it to a few outings and have gotten several compliments on this speaker. First off the Bromely 450 looks good and stands out from what's on the market right now and usually Marshall brings that timeless classic look to their products. The build quality is there and so is the fit and finish. The buttons and dials are smooth and satisfying when adjusting the volume and settings. Besides the sound of the Bromely 450 my favorite thing on this speaker is the red lighted rocker style power button, it's just satisfying to click the button and get the party started instead of having to hold on the button for it to power on luke every other speaker on the market it's the details that matter). You can play your favorite music from bluetooth, RCA, AUX and even USB-C sources. As far as controls you get a media control button when using bluetooth. There is also a customisable "M" button that you can assign a custom action to using the Marshall app, There is your standard volume, bass and treble knobs that are lighted. There is also volume control for inputs 1&2 as well as effect controls and lastly a button fo lights which let you toggle between 3 different lighting modes. On the backside you ve got the aforementioned sources (USB-C, RCA IN & OUT) and 2 XLR/6.35mm mic inputs which I thought was a reall nice touch no matter what type of mic you have. Also on the backside there is a battery access compartment that you can open up and swap out batteries if you have a spare, another great feature from Marshall. Let's not also forget the convenient integrated carry handle on the side of the Bromely 450 as this is a hefty speaker coming in at a little over 27 Ibs. Almost forgot to mention the speaker also supports speaker stands as it has access on the bottom. Now for the sound...it's a Marshall speaker so there is no surprise that the Bromely 450 can get extremely loud. It has enough sound presence to keep your party rocking with it's true stereophonic 360 sound no matter what angle your listening from. I've played all genres of music and it all sounds good, delivers great bass and clean treble. I do wish there was an EQ within the Marshall app to fine tune your music but it's not a deal breaker as it still sounds amazing. I also wanted to mention the lighting effects really bring that feeling like you're at a stage concert. Overall, the Marshall Bromely 450 is a great party speaker that I will likely keep and enjoy for years to come as it feels like one of those products that you hand down to your kids.

I have a friend with one of the smaller Marshall style speakers and thought that sounded great, knowing of the quality on that one I had to pick this up! The styling on this speaker is great! It has that classic Marshall Combo Amp styling, handle on one side to carry. The knobs are used for multiple functions associated with the speaker. There is an app that allows you to change inputs, listen to broadcasts, a couple settings and update the speakers firmware. The app is fairly simple, I mostly updated the firmware and checked it out. The speaker has only been used for Bluetooth connections so far. The speaker comes with a power cable, preinstalled (removable) Battery and some manuals. There is several inputs on the back USB-C, RCA, Aux In plus two inputs that can be switched between microphone and instrument. The Inputs are a XLR/6.35 mm combo jack each have their own volume knobs, plus an effect knob between them. The last input on the back is an Aux Output which allows you to Daisy Chaining. The Drivers are Dynamic on the Bromley 450, 2 x 6.5inch 40w Woofers, 4 x 2 inch 6w Full-Ranges, and 2 Passive Radiators. The Frequency Range is 40Hz-20,000Hz. I am definitely enjoying the speaker as I have been working on things in house or around the yard. The volume is enough to blast tunes while being productive. Looking forward to testing it out this weekend when the family gets together for easter. I wish they had more light effects or even added some color LEDS to alternate between some colors. The lights are a nice touch, and not essential so no biggie. You do get 3 light settings with the 'M' button defaulting to a "Strobescope" which flashes all lights on the face of the speaker.

TL;DR If you are a musician or music enthusiast you will love this speaker. An amp made into a speaker. ****Pros**** - Exchangeable Battery - Looks like an amplifier - Great sound clarity - Almost any sound port available you can think of - Great Battery life ****Opinion**** - Not enough bass (for the Bass Heads) - Sometimes it can be awkward to carry ****Cons**** - None Look ill start by saying if you play instruments and you have get-togethers or parties, you just win when you get this speaker. Why??? Well, it’s an all in 1. I am not sure if it works well as an amplifier but having that option just makes it ten times better. Also, if you are an audiophile, you will just get any possible port to plug in a Dack to this thing. I am not by any of chance part of these groups, I just know people. Anyways this speaker is pretty cool to look at. I mostly listen to urban music and orchestral music every once in a while, but this thing just makes sound very nice. Another thing that I liked about this speaker is the EQ is built into the speaker. It might not be as specific as some other EQs, but it will do. The app is just not what I thought it would do, mostly just offers software updates. The Lights are cool but it’s nothing revolutionary, in the contrary they are very simple compared to other party speakers which its fine for me personally. The drivers are loud themselves, in a 20x40ft room my ears were hurting. I wouldn’t say this speaker is gimmicky, but it does cover all the checks for certain niche groups of people. Personally, it’s a cool speaker and definitely would recommend it. I’m sure if you end up getting it, everyone will love you at karaoke night.

I picked this up on a whim, without a clear use for it other than it looked like it could be a lot of fun for gatherings. What I found was my kids enjoying blasting music and dancing, and within a couple hours, I had ordered a pair of microphones so they could complete their karaoke setup. I learned my 4 year old loves blasting songs he’s learning at school. The setup was very simple, with a press to connect to Bluetooth, and my phone found it quickly and connected seamlessly. The microphones connected through a plug in the back, and have individual input adjusters to control the volume separately from the music. The light show has 3 settings, but only one that we ever really use as the other 2 are pretty boring. I would have loved to see more light configurations since it feels like a prominent feature. The best part by far is the fact that this is battery operated, with a sizable removable battery that can charge in the unit or separately through USB-C. This means you could in theory pack some extra batteries for an extended trip away from power. Overall it’s been a lot of fun and is an easy recommend if you’re looking for portable speakers that put out a good amount of sound.

The Marshall Bromley 450 is one amazing speaker. Not only does it sound amazing, but it is packed with features, some you would never expect. So, let's begin with the reason you would buy a speaker--sound quality. If you know anything about Marshall speakers, you know they are at the of their game with sound quality. The Bromley 450 uses two 6.5 amp 40 watt woofers and four 2 inch speakers to crank out some truly powerful sound. And true stereophonic sound. No matter where you are in relation to the speaker, it sounds awesome. I was unable to connect to the app for some reason. No worries though. All the sound adjustments you need to make are right on the speaker, using dials. The dials go really well with the speaker's retro vibe. And if you like karaoke, the Bromley 450 has 2 XLR inputs for a mic or instruments, as well as USBC and RCA inputs. Speaking of vibe, the speaker looks great, kind of like instrument amps from yesteryear. I love the look. But there's a lot under the skin. The build quality, like everything Marshall makes, is excellent. It feels very solid, yet it weighs only 27 lbs. It also has an IP55 rating, so a little rain shouldn't stop the party. On top of great sound and looks is phenomenal battery life. I haven't tested the claimed battery life of 40 hours, but I have no doubt that as long as you take it easy on the lights, 40 hours should be doable. And the sizable battery can also be used to charge your other devices--I wasn't expecting that one. In summary, the Bromley 450 is a feature-packed powerhouse of a speaker. I honestly don't have a single complaint.

Marshall has long been known to be an excellent speaker brand and this portable party speaker does not disappoint. It’s got the right features, build quality, but with a sophisticated edged that most portable party speakers don’t have. Marshall does not compromise on sound quality which to me is the most important and I think even the average user will appreciate. This is a high quality brand and I don’t think this will fit everyone’s usage. The IP65 rating does make it less durable. Overall, I think this is a great speaker if you have a bigger budget, are looking for good sound, don’t need too many frills, and will be able to keep it relatively protected from the elements. Unboxing, setup, connections: Simple and straightforward to get this speaker up and going. Marshall takes it to the next level including the AUX, RCA, and XLR (for mics). There’s Bluetooth and USB-C. They have their bases covered. No app required, which is really nice. I would have like to see them include some cables, this is a high end unit and the cables are not expensive. It would be nice to have a little compartment for cables. I used all the connection types except USB-C. I did test out the USB-C for charging which worked great and a huge benefit if you want to leave a tablet or phone right with it. Sound: Excellent. Definitely better than most portable speakers of any size. There are definitely some louder ones out there but they are bigger and almost always compromise sound quality when turned up to >70% volume. The speaker has EQ knobs, especially great for those trying to do live music, singing, or just using the mics for PA. The bass was good. My pro-tip is to not leave this on the ground but safely position it at chest height or higher to maximize sound quality and dispersion. It will drastically change the experience, especially in larger spaces. Battery: It’s a little hard to test the battery at >70% for extended periods but I ran it at 50% volume for 18 hours continuous and it was no issue. Once I finally ran it down it took less than 5 hours fully recharge. The battery is removable. They say 20 minutes fast charge will get you 6 hours of play time. Lights: Cool but nothing special. I think it would be nice on a live stage. Durability: The material feels good and it a good build. I wish it had been IP67 rated. You never know when it starts to rain out of nowhere, something major spills on it, etc. Not the end of the world but for this price I would have expected more. In summary, I recommend this speaker for anyone without budget constraints looking for something loud with good sound quality, has the benefit of corded or wireless, lots of functionality, and in relatively protected environments.

The speaker quality is really good. A bit plasticky but needs to be for trying to keep dust and water at bay. I wish it had an equalizer setting rather than just bass and treble. Lighting is ok, but again very limited not full scale like I wish and am accustomed to with other types of lighting products. Packaging is very impressive. The box looks top class and would expect this speaker to just blow off the doors. Instead some major limitations. So why do I give it 4 stars, due to the quality and fullness of the sound I still give it high marks. since this is the most important thing with speakers is to fill an outdoor space with clarity and enough bass to make it a really good product. Easy to download and setup the speaker with my phone. Bluetooth connected quickly and easily. Looking forward to Summer and using this pool side. Easy to carry with the strap attached to the speaker. I was very impressed how easy this setup was and how the speaker detected the need to update its firmware and then just did it rather quickly. I would recommend this speaker for anyone wanting a speaker for outdoors which can withstand being outdoors during a small event. I wouldn't use this for a larger venue personally. Reunions, camping, recreational purposes is very sufficient.

This review is for the new Marshall Browley 450 Bluetooth party speaker. I have been a fan of Marshall speakers. I have several of their smaller Bluetooth speakers including 2 Middleton’s and the Emberton III as well as their headphones. They are all great speakers. This new Bromley is a large speaker weighing around 27 pounds and standing just under 20 inches tall. In typical Marshall fashion the speaker looks like their signature amplifier models with brass controls for volume, bass and treble along with controls for the built-in lights and controls for inputs. It is a great looking speaker. Connections include RCA, Aux in and out, USB-C and connections for microphones as well as guitars. Unlike the larger Bromley 750 which weighs around 52 pounds, the 450 has a carry handle instead of wheels and handle on the larger party speakers. The speaker has a removable battery that is supposed to be good for up to 40 hours of battery life. The speaker can also be plugged in via an AC cable. I have connected Bluetooth with HD music streaming as well as a number of portable CD players via a 3.5mm cable. So how is the sound? It’s fantastic. Where most party speakers emphasize bass at the expense of midrange and highs the Marshall is well balanced and the sound is more audiophile instead of booming. Due to the appearance of the speaker, it fits well with my home decor and is a focal point of my kitchen. This speaker can get very loud although it sounds great at lower volumes. I haven’t had the opportunity to test it outdoors yet due to the weather. It is rated at IP55 so it should do well for rain and dust. Marshall is known for their true stereophonic sound. The Bromley 450 has speakers on all 4 sides of the speaker, and the result is very impressive. With a claimed 400 watts of power, it sounds amazing. There are LED lights on the front of the speaker and different than the RGB lighting found on other party speakers these lights are more subtle and there are 3 different levels of lighting as well as being able to turn them off. There is an app that I use for the other Marshall speakers I own but, in this case, it is somewhat limited as it has no EQ function or adjustments for the lighting. All of these controls are on the speaker itself. Up until now my go to Bluetooth speaker has been the JBL Authentics 500 and although I like the voice feature of the JBL the Marshall just sounds better and is more room-filling than the JBL. I can’t say enough good things about the Marshall Bromley 450. It looks great and sounds amazing. I couldn’t be more impressed and would highly recommend this speaker if you are looking for a great sounding speaker for casual listing or for a party.

Since just after the dark ages when I was in high school jazz band you were "in" when you had Marshall equipment on stage. Now with consumer products, anyone can enjoy the classic looks and great sound. I have ear buds and one of their smaller "bricks" that sound amazing too. The difference here is power and stamina. I have not played it for the claimed 40+ hours of battery life but I did charge two phones from dead while playing and didn't notice the battery meter go down. Speaking of the battery it was so refreshing that it is removable and therefore replaceable. This seems built to last so in the far future if the battery starts to degrade it is easy to keep the party going. The unit also supports pass through charging, so, in the unlikely event you run out of onboard "juice," you can plug it in, keep the music going and charge the battery at the same time. Other great features include, USB C for charging external devices, RCA inputs, AUX in and Out, and instruments making this unit extremely versatile. There is also a handle mounted on the side and slots on top that you can use for a carry strap (not included) The lighting is also just as in tune with classic white stage lighting that has various settings to flash along with the music. As far as sound goes, something I hadn't considered is with larger speakers you have more air movement so, at lower volumes the sound carries further than a similar setting on a smaller unit. But this really shines with big sound and volume. Truly, 360 degree sound field for the entire spectrum of frequencies. I can't wait until the weather is a little better to get some friends and enjoy great sound with some equally great friends. So, here is the only negative thing, there is no onboard cord storage. This is a bit of a pain but I would still give this 6 stars if I could.
