A: No, it turns on only when movement is detected.

A: There is an included approximately 10' long cord to enable you to place the solar cell in a sunny spot away from the light. They would sell you another one if you did not want to just buy wire at a local hardware store.

A: This light automatically turns on when motion is detected after dusk. These settings can be adjusted with 3 different adjustment dials: - TIME (Time period adjustment): The time period control sets the duration that the Solar Security Light will be illuminated when activated. - SENS (Motion sensor adjustment): The sensitivity of the motion sensor on this Solar Security Light will be affected by temperature. - LUX (Light level adjustment): The LUX dial controls the natural light level that initiates operation and prevents the security light from operating during daylight hours.

A: These lights have two light heads. They are motion activated to come on when someone walks by. There is no ability to change the brightness but you can adjust the length of time the units stay on, how dark it needs to be for the units to come on and the sensitivity of the motion sensor.
