I’ve been using the Quest 2 for a couple of years now and was debating whether to drop $500 on the Quest 3 or just wait. When the 3S came out at $249, I finally pulled the trigger. Honestly, I’m glad I saved the money, though there are definitely some tradeoffs. The performance jump is the first thing you notice. The menus are snappier, and games like Batman: Arkham Shadow (which came free with it!) look way better and load faster than anything on my Q2. The mixed reality (color passthrough) is the biggest game changer, though. It isn't "real life" perfect—it’s still a bit grainy, especially if your room isn't super bright—but being able to walk to the fridge or check a text without taking the headset off is huge. The lenses are the main compromise here. If you’re coming from a Quest 2, they look identical (Fresnel), so you still have those subtle "god-rays" and a smaller sweet spot compared to the pancake lenses everyone raves about on the regular Quest 3. I tried my friend's Quest 3 once, and yeah, that edge-to-edge clarity is nicer, but is it worth an extra $200? For me, no. Once you're actually playing a game, you stop noticing the edges anyway. Comfort is... okay. It feels slightly bulkier on the front than I expected, and the stock strap is still pretty terrible. Do yourself a favor and use the money you saved to buy a third-party strap immediately. Bottom line: If you have a Quest 2 and want mixed reality and better graphics without emptying your wallet, this is it. If you have an unlimited budget, get the regular Quest 3, but for $249 this thing is a steal.

I’m extremely impressed with this VR headset. The setup was quick and easy, and the visuals are incredibly clear and immersive. The headset is comfortable to wear, even for longer sessions, and the controllers are very responsive and intuitive. The quality is as it should. Image/graphics, sound and playability. This is definitely worth the money. My favorite feature is Remote Desktop. I can have up to three very large screens, great for workflow productivity. Depending on your taste in games, will depend how satisfying that portion of things are. Great shooting games, simulators like flight and driving, chess, RPG board game and of course puzzle games. I thought about if for a while, if your reading this thinking the same. Get it ! You won't regret it. I did end up upgrading the unit for max usability and comfort.

Very immersive technology. A little heavy on the head. Games are expensive but the experience of playing is great. It is wireless and allows movement. Needs to be charged regularly.

First and foremost, WOW! The meta quest 3s is a beast of a VR headset. Plays all the titles, and links with steam easy One issue, the battery is pretty bad, but with a third-party headset strap with battery pack solves that. $20-$60 on amazon for the headset strap with battery pack. I bought 2 meta quest 3s, blown away! Great job meta

This product is so fun, my kids had so much fun playing games on their meta quest 3s, we played beat saber, blade and sorcery, VRFS, this vr headset is perfect for your kids i highly recommended buying it if your looking for a experience.

Gave the system to my brother as a present he absolutely loved it, he says it’s everything he’s been wanting. Only issue noticed was it does get quite hot when in use even early on, but given it’s literally a gaming system on your face it’s understandable hahahaha. Besides that absolutely perfect even thinking of getting one of my own to play with my brother!!!

My quest 2 has recently been having some battery issues and the quality has gone down over time, mind you I got it from launch, so I thought it was about time for an upgrade, when we I tried on my quest 3s noticeable differences were that the quality was ten times better, everything was crisp and clear, the headset was a lot more secure on my head then the quest 2 and the pass through mode was surprisingly clear, almost felt like I wasn't looking through a headset. When I played beat saber, my old headset would usually last me like an hour maybe an hour and 20 minutes, but when I finally got a low battery warning I was surprised to find out 4 hours have passed which completely of guard.

My kid is a streamer and he uses this headset for his videos. It’s affordable and well in graphics when it comes to playing and recording.

My boys can't put it down. Lots of games to choose from. Wish the battery lasted longer than a couple hours.

I bought this mainly for gaming, but it turned out to be great for media and casual use too. Setup was simple, tracking is very accurate, and the visuals are sharp with smooth performance. The headset feels comfortable even during longer sessions, and the controllers are responsive and easy to use. Battery life has been solid so far, and the overall build quality feels premium. This is a cool system. It’s worth every penny. I see the told updates from the 1st generation. It’s had so many games and activities on it. Love that I can just charge everything and not have to use batteries for my handheld device. It’s very nice size for traveling. I wish it came in colors. If you are thinking about getting one, don’t hesitate grab yours today. You won’t regret it. It also has other devices like a body set to go with it. I’m definitely pushing to get that as well. I’m also trying to get a stand for it. They do have those too. One more thing to mention, the controller are so much better to grip and hold. I like they took off the round thing, fr people with bigger hands. The band around the headset is so better. I post a picture of my old one verses my new one

I dislike how pricey it is what I like how cool the product is. I would use this product everywhere I can.

It's a great VR option especially if you don't plan on spending a lot, as you can find some really good deals. And if you aren't looking for something super immersive with lots of trackers and all that but just want to play the standard games, it's an excellent choice.

Very very fun and easy to set up. Battery life isn’t the best but I bought the upgraded head strap so it last much longer.
