Metaphor: ReFantazio is everything I hoped for and more. The art style is stunning, the soundtrack is incredible, and the mix of turn-based and real-time combat keeps battles exciting. The story and characters pull you in right from the start, and it feels polished in every detail. If you enjoy JRPGs, this is a must-have for PS5!
Great game! It’s like most jrpgs it’s going to be a long playthrough but the story and gameplay are worth it! Atlus does it again! It was shipped fast and I didn’t have to pay any shipping costs! Glad to see physical media hanging in there!

spoiling Metaphor: ReFantazio is an incredible RPG with a beautiful fantasy world, stylish visuals, and strategic turn-based combat. The characters are memorable, the music is outstanding, and the journey feels epic from start to finish. It blends exploration, storytelling, and gameplay perfectly, creating a captivating adventure that’s hard to put down. It perfectly blends the mechanics of persona into this fantasy setting and I can’t get enough of it.

Great story, world and characters. It has a great UI and fighting system also. Taking the persona system to medieval future was a perfect fit. The only issue comes in the form of the presentation. Not sure what happened graphically while it doesn’t running the game it just seems like a missed opportunity. 8/10

Still playing through and enjoying every second of it. Probably the biggest surprise of 2024, did not expect this game to be such a huge win for Persona fans!

This game is incredible, from the music to the graphics and especially the combat gameplay of it. Definitely a must buy.

Absolute masterpiece. The best game of 2024, and one of the best RPGs ever made. The 8 year wait was definitely worth it!

Such a phenomenal game. If you know nothing about Atlus games such as the Persona series just as I didn't, you will still enjoy this game. The combat is wildly rewarding as are all the ways you can choose to spend the limited time this game gives you. Choosing what to do and what not to do is a big part of the experience. The story, characters, and all the voice acting in this game are totally top notch.

35 or so hours in, Metaphor is excellent, creative, and a blast to play. I enjoy the main cast, the general gameplay, the combat, art style, story, and OST. If you like Persona or SMT, this is likely another winner.

It's persona, but not. The gameplay is still solid turn based combat, story is good, and intriguing enough with the weird Bosch-esque bosses and the intrigue behind them. Still probably too long of a game though.

Maybe 15 hours in and everything is fantastic. Story is interesting with a lot to dig into, soundtrack is excellent, and the game looks great. If you're a fan of Atlas games you won't find a lot that surprises but if you haven't played their games before then this is a cool starting off point.

I have played all of the Atlas RPGs in their particular style and common creature list with game mechanics that are common to all of their games. Metaphor is a departure of sort from the Persona and Shin Megami games, but remains familiar enough to feel like a natural progression. Its visually kinetic on screen most of the time, everything is moving. The soundtrack is amazing and I want it on vinyl.

I generally haven't been sucked into Persona or SMT games, but Metaphor: ReFantazio is really doing it for me. The music is great, the presentation is really stylish and distinctive, I'm enjoying the story, and -- at least on hard difficulty -- every battle feels like a puzzle to solve. I'm only 10 hours in, but I am absolutely loving it so far.

If it wasn't for FF7 Rebirth, I would have voted for this game to be game of the year. It's story telling is 10, the combat and turned based system is a 10, build crafting is endless. Only downside is sometimes you can go long swathes of 2+ hours of story and can feel exhausting. That's typical of Atlus games though. Must buy.

It’s everything that one could ever want from a JRPG. Love the fantasy theme, great improvements off of the Persona/SMT systems. All round really fun, cool, and pretty to look at.
