Overall, this laptop is fast, easy to use, light, and sleek. I bought it so I can do my work for school and it gets it done. I use it for things like Microsoft Office, YouTube, and Google Classroom. The track pad and touch screen are incredibly responsive. Sound comes out great through the keyboard which also come backlit and comes in handy when I don’t want to have the lights on. Battery has been good because I do light work that doesn’t require a lot of battery power. The fast charging is amazing as it charges up my laptop from half to full battery in almost 15 minutes. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a laptop to do school work on and is going to high school or college.

I've been wanting a Surface Laptop ever since they were introduced! I was able to purchase this device for only $699.00!!! The keyboard is so comfortable and the touch-pad is very responsive. There is no clicking noise with the touch-pad. The 10th generation i5 chip is very snappy with the applications. I don't do any video editing or intense gaming so there wasn't a need for me to purchase the i7 model. Having an option to swap out the SSD is a plus but its a bummer that I cannot upgrade my RAM. The device is contained to 8GB. The Instant On functionality is very responsive. I only wish that the USB-C had Thunderbolt capabilities. Besides these two cons, I love the device and plan on purchasing Surface Laptop 3 accessories, preferably the Surface Dock. The premium feel of the laptop surpasses any laptop I've ever owned. I feel proud to pull out my Surface Laptop 3 whenever I visit my favorite bookstores/coffee shops! Awesome job Microsoft!! :-)

Great price for a high efficiency laptop! I use this laptop for school so I tend to open multiple tabs all at once which slows down a lot of devices but not this one!!! The battery lasts long! And I love how light it is since as a college student I take it everywhere with me!

I’ve has this laptop for a few months and I LOVE IT ! I’m a busy grad student and I have over 50 tabs open (not kidding, currently working on a huge research paper!), over 10 excel spreadsheets, email, YouTube playing in the background and this thing has yet to crash . Battery life is amazing and it charges super quick ! The portability is amazing, super thin and lightweight. Totally worth every penny paid. The sound is amazing on it, mouse track is flawless. My advice: invest in a screen cloth if you like the touch feature, get your self a Bluetooth mouse and purchase a computer sticker to cover top and bottom of device (see picture). It is also super easy to clean/dust. I went from Lenovo to Microsoft, I considered Mac but the specs alone led me to the Surface 3. Thanks Best Buy for an amazing device !

I am in love with this laptop. The price of this laptop is worth it. It’s not too heavy and is an easy setup for those who are not familiar with technology. Audio doesn’t come out muffled like your normal laptop would. Webcam has an excellent quality for Skype calls and more. I would recommend this wonderful electronic to anyone. You won’t be disappointed.

I bought my son one for Christmas & he loved it. So when I started school in February I bought me one too! What a great, light weight laptop.
I purchased this device because I was in need of a good powerful laptop. I’m used to having a “regular” laptop for my everyday use but I needed something better. I had never considered an expensive flagship laptop before but this device was a great investment and I enjoy using it. It’s really smooth and powerful.

I call this my glass cannon because... well.. it's beautiful and powerful but it breaks easily. I'm not even referring to the hardware, but rather the software. I've had about 4 BSOD's (Blue screen of death) on this device since picking it up a week ago. This occurs while unplugging external monitors from the USBC port and while turning bluetooth on/off. I have no idea why a device fresh out the box is having so many issues, but this is my 4th Surface (Pro 7 or Laptop 3) in the last month that I've had to return to Best Buy for the exact same BSODing issue. On top of that, 2 of 4 devices (including this one) would stop turning on and I'd have to hold the power button to reset. One's screen went out altogether. This doesn't make me very confident that the device will continue to function well past the warranty expiration. Windows is decades old and should be well refined - but the reverse seems to be true. It's as if the old coding that make up its many layers is crumbling underneath the foundation and is evidently plaguing the entire Surface lineup. I really wish Microsoft would scrap the entire thing and create a similar OS with fresh programming architecture that is more focused on reliability rather than catering to legacy software and its many bugs. At this point I'll have to go back to my old macbook as no one seems to get "the laptop" right these days. As a consumer paying a premium for hardware and software made by the same company - we should expect close to perfection that lasts at least 3-4 years. This is simply not it and it's clear that Windows 10 cannot behave itself long enough to make these devices great. Microsoft, if you respond to this review like many others, please do not attempt to walk me through troubleshooting steps. This device should not require troubleshooting after a week. Do better.

Great value for money and amazing product . I must say surface laptop 3 is the best laptop for office and college use and it’s very light in weight. Love it !

It’s been broken more than it’s worked. We’d definitely go apple if we had to spend $1000+ over again. Dropped it off for work multiple times. From what we’re told, it’s particularly difficult to service. Often won’t power on. It worked well when it does work. Geek Squad is always nice. We very much are grateful for the staff here in Savannah, but the computer is pretty terrible. Would definitely not purchase this again.

I am really regret that bought this laptop. the charger won't work. I had unplug and pluIged in many times. I am so disapointed with Microsoft. I should have bought Apple instead :(

Love this computer. Easy to use, great for school, surfing the web, having multiple browsers open, etc. Great to have attached keyboard but also touch screen, super fast, and very lightweight. I use this for school, and it is so easy to fit in my backpack, carry around, easy to pull up my screen when opening the computer. This also has an amazing battery life! I have had no issues with this computer thus far and have had it for about a month now. I have owned almost every brand of computers, bought a new one each year because they keep having issues with speed/processing power, shutting down, etc. But my mom has this computer for work, so I figured I would try one, and I am extremely satisfied! I also got it open box, so it was cheaper, and there were no issues with it being open box. I usually try to buy my stuff open box as I have had such great experiences that way and cheaper prices. I highly recommend this computer for students, professionals, or anyone looking to have a reliable computer! I see this being my forever computer lasting me into my internship in a year, and into my career and future private practice.

I have used this daily and have been loving it. I do high end photography, web development, and coding. This laptop can handle it all with no lag, no loading, and with great detail. The display is great for my photos when I need to see everything, the cpu can handle my rendering, my coding applications, and my many tabs open haha. The touch screen is also so incredibly useful. I love the keyboard, it feels very rewarding to type on it. The surface surrounding the keyboard is an interesting type of material that helps disperse heat better, and feels soft to the touch. I have never had a laptop with that before, and this is something that I have fallen in love with. Many of my macbook friends are very jealous of the feel of it, and the fact that I can use it for extended hours without having hot hands or wrists, and it can run forever without overheating. The weight of the laptop is very light for me, but what is surprising is how balanced they made it, meaning you can hold one side of it, and it won't droop in your hand. The front facing camera is high quality, I have to use it frequently for online meetings. The one con of the laptop I have found so far was the lack of multiple usb ports, and lack of an hdmi port. I have had to buy a USB splitter, which a little bit of extra hardware I have to carry around with me all the time now. I have gotten used to it, but I find that a splitter has slower transfer and response times than having dedicated ports for each peripheral.

If you don't want a MacBook Air/Pro because of macOS, or other Windows manufacturers such as Dell/HP/Lenovo have let you down in the past, the Surface Laptop 3 (i7 1065G7, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Matte Black) is quite the option. In my opinion, it's the best premium Ultrabook on the market, especially impressive as Microsoft has only been at it for about 3 years. As performance between 85% of Ultrabooks is relatively similar, build and design is a big deciding factor to me, and the Surface won out against worthy competitors such as the Dell XPS 13 (9300), HP Spectre x360 13, and Razer Blade Stealth. A lot of Microsoft + Intel intangibles like Instant On, smart backlighting, and adaptive brightness help this feel like a polished machine that's been innovated for over 10+ years like the XPS lineup. The display on the Surface is excellent. The resolution is higher than standard Full HD (not quite QHD because of the 3:2 aspect ratio), and doesn't sacrifice either battery life (4K Ultrabooks make no sense) or picture quality. Apple and Microsoft seem to be the only ones who believe in making QHD+ displays for 13-14" instead of 4K. It just makes more sense for everyone. Performance is great for a 15W laptop, although I don't need much horsepower from my laptop as I have other desktops for heavy workloads. It's good in short bursts and at lasting long. The quad-core i7-1065G7 has the highest level graphics config for Intel's Ice Lake processors, so this is as good as it gets for this generation. I would recommend 95% of buyers to just buy the 8GB RAM models, as you'll find more use in just having 4 cores than 16GB RAM. Battery life is good, not amazing. I get about 6-7 hours of active users out of a full charge. It can top up pretty fast while in sleep mode with the included Surface Connect charger. Coming from a device that gave me 2 hours max off of a battery, I'm not asking for much. There is some endurance left to be desired, but it's enough for what I need. The touchpad and keyboard are amazing. They're both among the best that Windows Ultrabooks have to offer (although that's not saying much..)

I love this laptop! Purchased on a bit of a whim when my old laptop started slowing down, but I am so happy with this purchase. It's sleek, fast, and overall just great. The battery life is incredible (though I assume that will decrease with time like any device), setup was a breeze (the hardest part was getting the shrink wrap off of the box haha). I 100% recommend this computer!

I wanted a stylish and professional laptop I could use to handle business. I have a 2012 mac book pro, but it was so slow, heavy, and outdated, I couldn't get any work done. So, I made the switch. And, I couldn't be happier with my purchase! The Surface pro 3 looks and feels just like a mac book (except the beautiful interior keyboard material, touch screen, lightweight and hq sound system (which I love!!). It's fast. Just enough storage (definitely regret not going for the 256gb storage though!) And, most importantly...I can work effortlessly! It's a beautiful laptop and definitely worth the price to me!

From a repairability and upgradeability standpoint, this thin and lightweight laptop is pretty good. Has many other premium features that a more expensive, less powerful Macbook Air doesn't have. When it's on sale, it's a great deal. Best keyboard on any laptop I have ever owned, and most people think that this is the best laptop keyboard you can get right now. Battery is great, averaging 9 hours or more with basic use. Weighs 2 pounds less than my previous laptop. Build quality is great as well. Still has a USB-A port for those who need it, and USB-C for data, docks, and charging it (up to a 65 watt charger). And a headphone jack if you need it. Great laptop.
