I chose this over a laptop or macbook due to being light weight, thin, and compact. I had to replace my previous laptop because the keyboard was broken after 4 years. This detachable keyboard sold me by being able to replace keyboard as needed and have a 2 in 1 device. The screen display and size is really nice for a tablet. Battery is average when used consistently but charges very quickly.

I have always owned iPads from the beginning but with having a new PC and Xbox I wanted everything to sync together and it has worked great. It does take a bit to get used to not having apps for everything and having to use the browser for a lot of things but it hasn't been as big of a deal as I thought. What I do like is this is basically like having my computer wherever I go and it has plenty of power. I haven't tried any graphics intense gamming on it yet but I'm sure it would work fairly well. All in all I don't regret changing at all and I would do it again.

This is my 5th Surface Pro. I absolutely love them. My SP8 is the premier version with all the specs maxed out. This things is as fast and powerful as most desktops. I even edit video on it. Extremely versatile. One downside is that the USB ports are Type-C, so I have to buy adapters. It needs at least one regular USB port. They also removed the display port. You have to have an adapter for that too. My docking station for the SP7 works on this too, so at least I didn't have to buy a new docking station. All in all, I wouldn't use anything else but Surface for my work.

Thin, light, and very fast. One thing to know, it does not have a USB hub.

Nice, but pricey. Upgraded to the full 1tb storage because it is lacking a microSD card slot. SIM card slot for 4G/5G would be helpful. Benchmark performance is also not great. Purchased for the convenience, portability, and pure tablet mode option. Battery life leaves a lot to be desired.

Very happy with this purchase. I use it for both gaming (not high computing gaming) and work, both docked and as a tablet, and have enjoyed it thoroughly.

I got this as an upgrade from a previous Surface Pro. I like that it isn't real heavy, can be used as a laptop and a tablet. Fast and reliable.

I’ve loved all three Surfaces I’ve owned so far, and this one doesn’t let down. These laptops/tablets are unbelievably quick and have stayed that way. I still own a surface pro 5 that’s as fast as the day I received it. Can not go wrong with a Surface!

It was a nightmare, paid $2.6k for the all spec’d out one to just return it. Had it for just two days. So when my type cover arrived i tried it on and it only charged the slim pen 2 but the keys and mouse pad did not work. So i went through the internet since microsoft customer service wasnt avaliable and retarted the cpu, updated all the drivers, shut it down and started it back up after 10 mins and nothing. The type cover still didnt work. I went to best buy thinking it could just be the keyboad that’s messed up and tried another one and still didnt work. Thats when i tried to exchange it to only hear that they cant since the cpu i got was sold out everywhere even on the microsoft website. Last resort? Return it and call it a huge lost, I had high expectations and although i got my money back i truly wanted to keep it, thats why its a bummer and a huge lost especially since the keyboard that was made for it didnt work for it… this is why i try not to be bias and stick to apple products but it just keeps pulling me back to apple with horrible experiences like there. Not to mention the fact im not refunded the money i spent for hardward coverage and what not

I just picked this up yesterday, so keep that in mind. I am really please with the ease at setting it up and I have been using an iPad Pro, but like how the Microsoft Office apps work on the surface better.

Absolutely love this new surface pro 8! I owned the Surface Pro 7 and it is such a big difference. I ended up purchasing the Signature Keyboard with the fingerprint reader and I wish I owned it sooner! I really wish that the Surface Pro 8 came in a Matte Black, but that would be my only complaint.

Wonderfull machine. I am changing from 7 to 8 for improvements and more memory. I used Pro 7 for a little over 2 years, it's amazing, I'll try 8 with Win11. Best Buy was ok, the shipping and delivery service was TERRIBLE, really TERRIBLE.

Meh... it's a typical Windows PC. I was hopeful this machine would be more stable since it's a Microsoft product, but it's not. I've had it for less than a month and I've already had to roll back updates because the machine wouldn't boot properly. Thankfully I had a restore point from a few days ago that I was able to use but now I'm reluctant to install anything for fear that it'll quit on me again. I love the computer itself... the hardware is really top quality, but Windows OS STILL leaves a lot to be desired regarding stability. I can't believe we're on Windows 11 and we still get some of the same problems as Windows 95. You might think Microsoft engineers would have found a way to make it more stable by now. I think I'll convert this to a Linux and my next computer will be a Mac. Pretty pathetic for a $2600 computer. For that price I expect it to be near perfect.
