I was very excited based on reviews with Amazon and Motorola's websites so I was very excited to be able to purchase this through Best Buy and finance it with 6 months interest free, So I DID! But, I don't know if it was because my pup is a muscular half breed of Mastiff and Pit or if there are holes in the fence or low battery (I charged it overnight as soon as I got this in the mail) but the shock was ineffective for my pup. So unfortunately I had to return this the next day... Very impressed with the reviews, disappointed in the product, hopefully mine was just a dud. I would recommend based on others review, not on my experience.

We adopted a Houdini Ratcha - he got loose no less than 6 times first week. Bought this system and set up the flags, instead of training with only the beep, I set it to "1". Within 1 hour he was outside by himself, hasn't left the yard off the leash since. He loves wandering the yard and playing without being tied up. Range is easy to set and change. Slightly closer limit in front of the garage when the cars are interfering, but it works great nonetheless. Battery life is very limited however, only recommend for short term portable use.

This item works great when used as directed. Not a 24 hr collar and has to be recharged every day.Would definitely recommend it for taking on trips and people who put their dog in every night as this is a good time to recharge collar. Has good range and I leave the main unit plugged in all the time, but works well when staked out. .

Works great in small area. Signal blocked by large objects such as vehicles. Does not cover as much space as advertised.

The wireless fence worked great for about a year then the collars would not charge. One quit working then the other soon after. If they had kept working I would recommend them but since both collars quite working that lowers my rating.

worked with this way to long, Difficult to set up and ultimately returned it due to the fact that after only 3 feet the warning was going off. I never even got to put it on my dog because I was afraid that she was gonna get zapped for walking out of the house.

Thought this would not work but it does work for my 82lb golden retriever. Easy to set up and best of all, it keep my dog safe.

The fence has a radio frequency. It works well in the house but outside was poor due to the brick walls

This is a good system to train a puppy the boundaries it is allowed in the yard. Keeps him safe from the road.

I wasn’t sure how well this worked since I have it as a gift but based on other reviews it must be good

Really gets pet attention. Know we can go anywhere and my pet stays in the boundary I give him.

It's not worth the money, too difficult to establish a perimeter, and customer service is useless.

So I will start off by saying that I don't write reviews. However, I needed something like this product and was a little scared because the reviews weren't that good. First off, if you are part of the push button society that needs the product to come out of the box and you magically understand how to use it, this isn't for you. But if you are willing to take 30 mins out of your day to learn how to set this up, this product is awesome!!! I have a little dog that I can not keep in the yard. I set this thing up and bam, she stays in the allocated circle. You can manually set a perimeter up to 120' radius, which was more than enough for us. The cool part was the fence range is adjustable. You can make it smaller and pretty much any size "fence" you want. The collar communicates with the transmitting unit and tells the battery level as well. Both the collar and transmitter have rechargeable battieries. If the dog goes beyond the fence, the transmitter inside will beep until the dog comes back in range. So I don't have to sit and watch if its working. I can hear it. Overall the product is exactly what I needed. Again, if you don't want to take the time to learn the product, DONT BUY IT, and don't post poor reviews when you are lazy, it doesn't help us make the right decision.

Very easy set up and my dog was a quick learner. You can choose the exact distance you want the boundary to be! You can even set the amount of shock to very low, I have had shock collars in the past, and the way this one is set up seems to be more comfortable for the dog. Just waiting for availability of the extra collar for my second dog.
