Act I — The Unexpected Hero Arrives In a world dominated by RTX 4080s and 4090s, the RTX 3050 steps onto the scene like a scrappy newcomer with something to prove. Armed with: 2nd‑Gen RT Cores 3rd‑Gen Tensor Cores 8GB or 6GB GDDR6 Ampere architecture DNA …it brings real next‑gen features to the masses. This is the moment the “budget card” stops being a compromise and starts being a contender. Act II — The Fight Sequence The RTX 3050 thrives where it matters most: 1080p gaming. Performance Highlights 60–120 FPS in esports titles (Valorant, Apex, Fortnite) 45–70 FPS in AAA games with DLSS enabled Ray tracing that’s actually playable thanks to DLSS 8GB VRAM models handle modern textures without choking This card doesn’t just run games—it elevates them. DLSS transforms demanding titles into smooth, cinematic experiences, and the 3050 handles them with surprising swagger. Act III — Ray Tracing: The Glow-Up Turn on ray tracing and the RTX 3050 becomes a different beast. Shadows sharpen. Reflections shimmer. Worlds feel alive. Is it a 3090? No. But is it the most affordable gateway into real-time ray tracing? Absolutely. With DLSS, the 3050 turns what should be a slideshow into a fluid, immersive adventure. Act IV — Cool, Quiet, Collected Even under pressure, the RTX 3050 stays cool and whisper‑quiet. Dual‑fan models barely break a sweat, and power draw stays modest—perfect for prebuilt upgrades or older systems. This is a GPU that respects your thermals, your power supply, and your electric bill. Final Verdict — The People’s Champion The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 is the ultimate entry‑level RTX card. It’s not here to dominate benchmarks—it’s here to democratize modern gaming. If you want: DLSS Ray tracing 1080p excellence Low power draw High value …the RTX 3050 is the hero you’ve been waiting for.

I always recommend this card to anyone building their first ever office pc budget build. It might be a little steep on the price tag compared to some of the cards you can find used but it’s so worth it. First, the power supply issue. This card runs directly off the PCIe card slot. This means that you do not need a 6 or 8 pin power supply plug to power it. You just plug it into your board slot and you’re off. Second, it’s only a 75 watt card. This means the stock 200 watt power supply in your Dell, HP, Lenovo etc. mid tower or mini tower pc is more than enough power to run this card. Third, the lenght. It’s a pretty short card so it will fit into virtually any mt form factor or bigger case. Fourth, DLSS 3 capability. This card can do DLSS 3 upscaling for more demanding titles so it can give you that performance boost you need to get a buttery smooth 60 fps gaming experience. This is a great little card for e-sports titles like Fornite, Valorent, Marvel Rivals etc. It can also do a lot of modern titles at 1080p on around medium settings with DLSS upscaling enabled. Overall, highly recommended card for a budget office pc build.

Great graphics card, in my opinion way better than its AMD counterpart. Well worth the $200 as well. Games like Valorant, Fortnite, Overwatch 2 and Phasmophobia run flawlessly on high graphics!

Great performance good bang for your buck gpu low power draw easy to overclock what you would expect from Msi very aes thickly pleasing card has held up well for about a year of use had one fan start making noise only had to clean it once noise went away. I do own a German shepherd and bitcoin mine / game heavily so I am used to dust build up and know how to maintain cards temps are good it’s a great gpu but there’s better for a little more money if you are concerned about power draw it only uses on board mobo power so it’s very low under 100w my software estimated 69w power draw

Wonderful for low end 30 series. Also got immediate support from Best Buy employees in store the day I purchased the graphics card. (Ignore dust in picture it’s an older picture.)

Threw it in a optiplex and it’s great for what it is, typically held back by the older i7 cpu. The gpu is able to deliver great 1080 graphics and fit around 200 fps on Fortnite or more with a better cpu. Seige was spiking in the 500 fps range, it did very well with the more gpu demanding vs cpu demanding, games. There is better gpu out there but for the price and only needing 16 pin, this is likely the best gpu you can find. Perfect for budget builds but getting a gpu that will last and withstand all future upgrades.

People tend to hate the 3050, ever more the 6 gb version, but when you actually use it, it's actually really good its can raytrace extremely well, it has the performance for a mid tier 20 series card, dispite not having external power, just make to have a good cpu, I'd recommend 400w - 600w PSU to go with it, or maybe put it in an dell optiplex for a cheap PC that can play most AAA games.

Fantastic gpu. I paired this with the 5600x cpu and I’ve had essentially no issues. I can run most games 1080p60 on ultra. Best bang for the buck.

This has a great workhorse for my office system, I'm still pretty new to PC building but my previous card was just too much for my day to day use, this is great for mixed monitors be it size, age, input and not too heavy a price really. If you're building an office machine or daily driver for mail checking and maybe streaming while you work this will get the job done.

Love it. Works great! Love the sleek look and the fact it dont need a cord to the psu. It gets power from the motherboard.

Great low power, low heat, cramped small solution that is slot powered only.

Great card for the budget ! Does t even require power from the psu uses power directly from mother board.
