Neil Young Greatest Hits (2LP 180 Gram Vinyl w/Bonus 7Inch) A 16 song, 180 Gram Vinyl 2 LP Set greatest hits collection, limited to the Reprise catalog and covering the years 1969 to 1992. This package includes a 45 rpm 2 song 7Inch single on black vinyl, which features a mono version of InchSugar MountainInch and a stereo version of InchThe Loner.Inch Pressed at Pallas and packaged in Stoughton paper-wrapped jacket with bonus 7Inch in jacket with special paper stock). This collection was assembled and prepared by John Knowland, at Neil Young's Redwood Ranch Studios. The meticulous studio work presented in this collection ensures that this is the very best these songs have ever sounded. For the collection, 30 IPS, flat tape copies of tracks 1-14, were assembled from the original analog masters. Tracks 15 and 16 were transferred from up-converted 176.4/24 bit digital masters created from the original lower res. digital masters.     I got really lucky

    This album is out of stock almost everywhere, but I was able to find a copy at a Best Buy not too far from my house. It appeared to be the only copy on the east coast and was only available for store pickup. So I ordered it and drove to the store not knowing what to expect. When I was picking it up, I was a little concerned at first because the seal had been broken and there was a tear in the sleeve, but the records looked like they had never been played and were pristine. My guess is that it had been sitting in the store for quite some time and no one bought it because of the broken seal. A little clear tape to stop further tearing of the sleeve and I was ready for a spin. Wow, the other reviewers were right, this is an excellent defect free pressing with superb fidelity. It sounds absolutely amazing start to finish, better than any digital version. There was obvious care put into the production of this record. I'm glad I took a chance on this and would highly recommend if you can find a copy.

    Excellent sound quality

    This record is one of the highest quality recordings I've ever heard. The instruments are all crystal clear and perfectly balanced. There is virtually no surface noise. I own all of the albums that this collection of songs were originally on and can safely say that this album takes this music to a new level. The set list is a great representation of Neil Young's music from this time period. I hope they re release Live Rust with the same attention to detail present on this record.

    Nice Greatest Hits LP

    A nice sounding greatest hits package. It does leave off a few songs but overall a solid selection.
