Dmitri Shostakovich was only 17 years old when he completed his piano studies in Petrograd. In the same year he published his first piano trio, nonetheless already as Opus 8. The Trio Alba juxtaposes this youthful work with the Trio Op. 67 from 1944, and with Bedrich Smetana's Piano Trio Op. 15 expands the worthwhile view of the chamber music of the Slavic cultural region. Smetana's music is Slavic the Furiant, a lively Bohemian dance, characterizes two of the three movements. The work has a sad background - Smetana's daughter died shortly before, only four years old. The trio is dedicated to her memory, lamenting phrases and groans express the pain. Wide soloistic passages convey the impression of great loneliness. And sonorous beauty. Shostakovich's Trio op. 67 also commemorates a deceased person; the composer's deep consternation over the sudden death of a friend is expressed not only in a sensitive letter to the widow. Like a heart-rending lament, the strings play fortissimo con sordino shortly before the end - a fascinating sound effect that goes through marrow and bone. The Trio Alba is unreservedly engaged in the depths of these states of the soul. And also the rapturousness of a young love, which permeates Shostakovich's first trio, finds adequate expression with the three Austrians.

DYNAMIC TRIO is the new Hammond organ based trio! The band is formed by the youngest Hammond organist in Italy Francesco Fabbri (only 20 y. o), the amazing baritone sax player Rossano Emili (Best Baritone Sax player in Italy for JAZZ. IT magazine), and the drummer Alessandro Ricci. Eight tracks composed and arranged by Francesco Fabbri. Swing, Funk, Latin and Blues for the first album of Dynamic trio! Francesco Leonardo Fabbri, born in Perugia in 1986, started to play classical piano and Hammond organ at the age of 17. He attended for two years the Hammond organ courses at the SPM school in Pistoia, learning, thanks to Maurizio Spampani, the most important Jazz, Blues and Funk techniques. During Umbria Jazz 2004 he followed the berklee college of music summer clinic. Going on, he followed numerous lessons and workshops given by some of the most famous organ players such as Dr. Lonnie Smith, Joey DeFrancesco, Tony Monaco, Alberto Marisco, Pippo Guarnera, Ivan Vicari and Bruno Erminero. In october 2003 he also participated to an arrangement workshop with Beppe Vessicchio. During the Umbria Jazz festival 2005 he got to know Dr. Lonnie Smith, becoming one of his students and going to New York to have lessons with him. While staying in New York, Francesco got in contact with famous organists such as Seleno Clarke, George Papageorge, Mike LeDonne and Lonnie Gasperini, with whom he performed in one of Harlem's Clubs.
