Customer Ratings & Reviews

I like Night Owl because they are based in the USA. This system is great. Everything plugs in easily and is ready to go. great video feed. Most systems cost a lot more and you pay every month for a subscription. I added the 2.5" Internal 1TB SATA Hard Disk Drive for more storage. I also like the cameras support continuous recording.. I can record and take pictures and they are sent to my photo gallery. I have had this system for almost a year now and add more cameras to the system. The only camera so far that I had problems setting up was the floodlight. I did leave a review for the floodlight on how we fixed the problem. Other than that been very happy with the system.

I love how easy these were to set up and I love the picture in the quality and I love that we don’t have to pay for a subscription

Overall I am happy with the cameras. Sometimes a little too sensitive (starts recording if a bug flies by). Easy install & setup. I can unplug, move to a different location, plug back in & it connects itself in seconds.

Worst device I’ve ever purchased in my entire life, cost me 300$ to install and now forced to uninstall and reinstall again, with possible damage to my house walls. Device very poor keeps going on and off, one cameras keeps disconnecting the whole day even though I have strong WiFi connection. I got a door bell from another brand and it works just perfect but the 4 cameras been a pain in just two days from installing it. I wonder how Best Buy have this product promoted at their stores they really should remove it, I lost confidence because of that product.

Pretty neat compact set up, very clear footage at 4k, very realiable, the app is a little finicky which makes it difficult to work with. Loads slow, but when the you are viewing the cameras they are clear and look sleak. Dont like how the cameras require power to each one, makes installing it outdoors very difficult and limited. You need an outlet where ever you install. But for indoor use it worls well.

Went shopping for a good home camera/security system, and yesss....For the price and the easy installation, as well as the quality and easy access, this system for sure is the way to go.

For the price point you'll be hard pressed to find a better system. I had it set up in an hour, i was impressed with how easy it was to pair and connect to wifi. Sound quality is solid, and the speakers you are actually able to communicate thru it unlike my blink door bell that is too laggy. You can scare people away with alerts that they are being recorded, etc. I'd recommend it to beginners and DIYs as it's simple.

Easy to install. App is easy to mess with as well, works great, but takes long to load into. The WiFi signal for camera kinda sucks, I get 2-3 bars from my 40-50ft cameras and they kinda cut out sometimes, it’s plug for power on the WiFi cameras. Also hub can be wired Ethernet or connect WiFi..

These are very nice and affordable. I had only one issue with one of the cameras not wanting to reconnect after disconnecting for unknown reason but it hasn’t had any issues since. Had the almost a year still going good , they need a good WiFi signal is all no need for monthly service so that’s great. It stores it itself and has its own memory.

The cameras have a good quality image. They do what they are intended to do. One negative feature would be that they must be plugged in to a power source so that may limit mounting flexibility as opposed to some of the competition with solar power offerings. The other downside is the app. The app is too "buggy". Hopefully there will be an update soon. Otherwise, decent product especially for the price, especially when on sale.

Nice set up for the cost good quality pics for use my home keep eye on pets and gate of driveway…vary easy set up and use

This camera system is a great solution for home or small business security. It comes with 64GB of local storage and the option to add a hard drive as well, I believe up to 4TB.   It has 4k video resolution that is clear in the daytime or night time.  It was pretty straightforward to set it up.  The software might take a little while to get use to, but overall it is user-friendly and can get remote access set up quickly with the mobile app.  An additional 4 cameras can be added.  I will buy more cameras to add to this system.

Cameras have good views long lasting product easy to hook up and function properly

Excellent quality capture images clearly and record everything

The good: -really solid value -camera feed are decent quality -haven’t had an issue where the camera missed an event unlike my smart cameras like google and ring -LOCAL STORAGE -doesn’t need an internet connection to work(unless you want to access it from the app) Cons: -the app is a little confusing and glitchy -set up was a little annoying because of the app

I loved the cameras soooo much and i like them wireless from the recorder im buy another system i think

Very simple setup. Sharp images and video resolution.
