Simple, reliable, easy-to-setup capable.
Stand-alone, AC powered, Wireless, 1080p security with 2-wy audio. I have been using a Night Owl security camera system on my property for a few years. Why? The Night Owl systems are reliable, loaded with features that I prefer, and they are easy to manage. Whether you have a larger system that uses a video recorder and router (NVR) to store video clips locally, or it uses an installed MicroSD card (you must buy separately) you never need to consider a SUBSCRIPTION. And, every feature of the camera can be monitored from my phone, on in the larger system (bought separately), it can be monitored on your TV. SETUP: Either register the camera in your existing system, or, used as a stand alone device, download the Night Owl App and add this camera to the app. It's a fast process. PERFORMANCE: You are able to select detection (ACTIVITY) zones for each camera and the level of sensitivity as well as the type of activity (Human, face, vehicle) or all. Night Owl even allows you to send AUDIO alerts, including a siren if it’s a critical location that you feel is critical. From the LIVE VIDEO image you can select and enable the MICROPHONE, the SPOTLIGHT and the AUDIO alert. The MENU structure is sensible and with no instructions I was able to follow the ICONS on the camera image to the related settings. From the GEAR in the upper right of each camera page I could discover all of the settings organized in one place. I can even change the camera names so they are easier to manage. Those images have a continuous readout of the data transfer speed, so I instantly know if I’m really connected and not capturing a frozen scene. A colored icon (red, yellow, green) is a further indicator. Photos are from my darkened hight time garage illuminated by Night Owl Camera's infrared LEDs, only. Now that I have the cameras where I want them, with the settings set for each camera as I prefer, there is nothing left for me to do. If I want to monitor my backyard or my front door, I simply pop open the App so those specific locations or all locations are always displayed. If I want to review suspicious activity while I’m away, I can open the EVENTS library and scan down through the video clips. Or, with a large library, it’s probably easier to use the TIMELINE tool to quickly find the time period of interest and find the corresponding events. The Night Owl cameras are easy to recommend.

It was working good before T-mobile upgraded to 5G, then it stop completely working and was returned.
