Nocturnus - The Key - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Dessiderium - Keys To The Palace Sole member and founder, Alex Haddad, shared his thoughts about Keys to the Palace InchThis album was ten plus years in the making. A lot of the material here actually precedes that of the two previous releases. Completing this record means giving closure to this era of Dessiderium that has spanned across my twenties, and I see it as a well suited final chapter to this period. The two previous albums, Shadow Burn and Aria, provided no happy ending. They were both about defeat in their own way. Keys to the Palace reaches for triumph. This is an album about time travel that explores the polarity between past and future, innocence and disillusion, faith and despair, and adolescence and adulthood. Nocturna - Of Sorcery And Darkness / sophomore record for the band founded by the formidable frontwomen Grace Darkling and Rehn Stillnight / After the success of the 2021 mesmerizing debut album 'Daughters of the Night' - which mixed gothic-symphonic and power metal elements, alternating between fast & heavy neck breaking episodes and intense, piano-oriented ballads - Nocturna once again delves into the meaning of the term InchdualityInch and all it's more morbid connotations. The romantic inspiration of the lyrics of 'Of Sorcery and Darkness' combines harmoniously with the band's sophisticated sonic approach, and the celestial voices of Grace Darkling and Rehn Stillnight paint mysterious and sensual portraits of an ancestral time (yet so close to us). It's a solemn, sinister and never so lost paradise. Album Tracks 1. Burn the Witch 2. Sapphire 3. Noctis Avem 4. Creatures of Darkness 5. Midnight Sun 6. First Disobedience 7. Seven Sins 8. Through the Maze 9. Strangers 10. Last Day on Eart

After forming as a heavy three-piece in 1990 by guitarist and then vocalist Fredrik Mannberg under the trademark Necronomic, the Umea-based band constantly developed towards melodic and harmony-influenced metal. In course of time their style of music transformed into 100% true metal and in the fall of 1993 Nocturnal Rites saw the a promotion cassette unveiling the new direction which gained them the attention of Dark Age Music (Christofer Johnsson of Therion's tag). Before they released Nocturnal Rite's debut album, In A Time Of Blood And Fire, in late '95, originator Fredrik Mannberg decided to concentrate on being just a guitarist so that newly recruited vocalist Anders Zackrisson (ex-Gotham City) could step in as frontman. Again, the band went through some changes, but when their line-up was finally complete, Nocturnal Rites felt the urge to work on new material. For the final product, Tales Of Mystery And Imagination, twelve songs were recorded, offering every true metal fan a musical firework of duelling guitars, catchy leads and stunningly moving rhythms. To even strengthen their reputation Nocturnal Rites went on tour with metal gods Overkill, as well as labelmates Nevermore and Angel Dust. Right after they returned home and gained fresh input by their new mate Owe Lingvall (drums) and now full member Matthias Bernhardsson (keyboards) they immediately started to write new songs for their latest masterpiece of Swedish steel, The Sacred Talisman, which was recorded at Tonteknik studio in their hometown of Umea.
