Got this game on launch day and just completed it yesterday. Absolutely loved the game. It adds so much depth to combat that you’ll never get bored of it. It’s one of those games that I'm glad I own the steelbook copy for. I haven't loved playing a game in such a long time. Capcom is on a winning streak and you absolutely must buy this game.

This game is 100% a 10/10, it literally has everything I could ask in an action combat game. The story is greatly paced with no down time especially if you take the time to do the side quests. I pray this goat wins game of the year!!

This game absolutely rocks and I absolutely loved playing it. It did arrive about 2 days late because I stupidly pre-ordered (never do this if you want to play on release day lol).

A wonderful game with some of the best combat in any game. They way it paces boss encounters is an art form itself. By the end you feel like an Onimusha

So this game is almost Perfect . For a game that has been dormant for quite awhile capcom did a great job on reviving this game. There’s not much I can say that I don’t like about the game but some missions side quests are a little repetitive or filler. But the combat shines the best once you get a good feel with the parry system which is a must with some boss fights and some of the other enemies it just feels good. Definitely a fun game I bought the steelbook version which has some amazing artwork on it. Definitely a game to add to your collection

I don't normally write reviews but Onimusha: Way of the Sword is way too good of a game and I want people to enjoy it! I played the OGs on the PS2 so when I heard about this one I was stoked. Story was amazing, gameplay was so fun and the cinametic cut scenes were beautiful. The Steelbook itself looks freaking amazing, love that Capcom gave us this option. Really wished more companies would do the same. Overall great game, spent about 35hrs playing the game. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys a good combat/story driven game!

Wasnt sure about the game until i played the demo and was hooked. It is challenging, but in a good way that feels rewarding. You cant just hack and slash your way through without thought. You have to have a certain rhythm to counter attacks and use different techniques at the right time. You will die in this game, but you will also learn and feel progression in boss fights and the game itself. Highly recommend.

Way of the Sword brings back the samurai action series in a big way, introducing the legendary Musashi as the new protagonist, forced to don the Oni gauntlet to save his life. The action is tight, but forgiving, never quite veering fully into Soulslike territory, but still touching on the kind of hard as nails concepts that many are attracted to with risk/reward action titles.

This is a action-packed return of Capcom’s long-dormant samurai game and I'm here for it. The combat is the absolute showpiece. It leans away from button-mashing, demanding that you master deliberate defensive mechanics like tight parries, perfect dodges. The story has me hooked but it could be a little more it gets a B+ everything else gets a SSS+

I'm so happy this came on time. I've been waiting to play this game and Best Buy has been my go to for preorder. The case is awesome and it came with no damage. Really appreciate it. You guys are awesome!!!!

The first 30-40% of the game is honestly an extremely boring button-mashing experience. I was very negative about the game until I reached that point. Thankfully, things started getting much better afterwards. The combat opens up, and the boss fights become easily the best part of the game. They are fun, challenging and very satisfying to learn. The problem is that everything between those boss fights feels like a complete waste of time.

Sekiro is still my number 1 when it comes to sword on sword combat. But Onimusha is a close second now. Great story, addicting combat, top tier boss fights, and Jesus this game looks incredible!

Great game, definitely a little annoyed by the back and forth with quests but otherwise the story was really engrossing and the the combat was soo much fun

One of the best games i have played this year. Game made with great attention to detail, extremt fun to play. Good challenge, not as hard as Souls like games. This is not a souls-like.

Capcom has had a very good year with resident evil requiem and pragmata.They once again deliver an amazing game with fun combat similar to ghost Tsushima and a great story.9/10

One fresh point of view of the previous games of the saga. Still missing the last main character, good game, hard to play but forth of attention

Onimusha is beautiful! Ive played the original saga which was my favorite Playstation 2 games but this game is always great in its own way.

This games flashy movements mixed with the parrying mechanic and awesome story makes it a Game of the Year Contender for me. Easily the best game of the year so far
