Do I have to have a landline phone service for this to work?

Thank you. What if I want to turn off all the ringers temporarily? Would that be "silent mode," or is "silent mode" something else?
Answered by Panasonic TeamThank you for your question! If you wish to turn off the ringer on the system, you can turn on the silent mode. However, you can also temporary turn off the ringer by pressing and holding the 0 key on each handset. After doing so, you will see an icon that looks like a bell with a line through it on the screen of the handset.
Does this system work only with a landline, or do you have to link it to a cell phone? Can you use it as a normal landline phone and ignore ther link 2 cell feature?

Does this model have the capacity to broadcast or announce the caller and message?

Does the screen have a white background with black letters/numbers?
Answered by mwpslbYes and some features are white letters in a black box. Screen is very clear and easy to read.
