PROS: The outdoor strip is nice for accent lighting, easy to set up, flexible, bright, and integrates with other Hue products. CONS: the colors are not as accurate or as vibrant as the bulbs, you cant get as wide spectrum of shades, extensions dont physically connect so it isnt a smooth transition if using more than one, over time mine developed “zones” where the strip showed a purplish color instead of the intended color. Ive had some of mine 3 years and that started about 6 months ago. I recently bought more as replacements.

Amazing quality outdoor lightstrip, that is very bright and heavy enough to maintain its shape when you lay it down.

These lights fit my entryway perfectly and I'm really lucky, because they can't be cut. But because my entryway railing is almost exactly the 16ft the lightstrip is and it looks wonderful/professional. As others have noted, the outdoor lights defuse the light very smoothly. I was able to hide all the wires and so it looks so clean and beautiful, especially after 18" of snow we just got here in Mass last night! Although pricey, I highly recommend these lights!

Use indoor and outdoor! Much better quality and appeal than the basic shape lite! Downside is you cant extend and that heavy bulky adapter! Works seamlessly with other hue and sync too

This is one very cool light strip. I thought I'd outline the dark edge of our deck following the square edges, but I quickly figured out it looks very miami cool organically snaked around the base of the palm trees by the deck. The color change feature really helps make it fit the mood. A remote switch make it easy to turn off an on and is faster than launching the app. It does require the hub but I immediately bought a second one to extend the light. It is bit expensive but high quality. It is not trimmable and they don't connect (that I've found anyway) to extend the strip, but they are still impressive!

I love the Hue Lights. The defuser is great and the lights are bright! Also, each to install the lights!!!! Would recommended them for indoor or outdoors. Finally, they are very flexible and each to install on curved and right angle locations.

I like that they have enough shine. What I don't like is that they can only be turned on when close. they would be better if it was connected through the internet.

We love this light strip! We put it up on the soffit above the sliding door and our couch on the deck. It was the perfect length for this area. Almost infinite color selection and love that it dims. Be very careful with the mounting clips though and make sure you follow the directions and put up enough clips.

Great service and shipping from Best Buy. The Hue 5m Lightstrip is excellent - high quality and highly reliable. Brightness is obviously variable and the brightest settings are very bright. The diffusion is built-in and the flexibility make up for the additional up-front cost.
