We recently bought my parents' house, which is an older home with a living room ceiling that peaks at 12 feet. There are 6 floodlights in the ceiling, and the Phillips Hue bulbs with our Amazon Echo make it so easy to control the light level in the room. We can also add color to the bulb over the fireplace, which accents my husband's painting so well. We love these!

Actually swapped out a couple existing BR30 LEDs with these hue bulbs. Produce vibrant color and have many smart hue features to choose from. The bulbs fill the space of my recessed lighting perfectly. Unscrew the old lamps, screw these in, connect to the hue bridge and away you go. Can't get any easier to add smart lights to your home.

These lights work beautifully and really change the environment of a room. I love them! They’re foolproof. If not for the too-high price and inability to return to the prior color after powering off (they default to full white), I’d rate these a 5.

After months of mulling over reviews on the Hue lighting solutions and attempts at cheaper options, I finally took the plunge and purchased a starter kit. The setup was simple and connecting them only took few minutes. The lights work well with my google home devices and the added benefit of multi-color RGB adds a real wow factor. The bulbs look and feel exactly like standard bulbs until you want a pop of color then with a quick flip of a digital switch, a full transformation. Once I installed the first 4 bulbs, I was bent on getting the remaining lights converted to these bulbs. That brings me to the only downside to these bulbs, "The Price". I was able to get a few at lower prices during the holiday seasons but to replace the 17 bulbs on the main floor of the house was a pricey undertaking. Worth it, but pricey. I have 6 more to go but I would recommend if you want to add a stealthy piece of tech to your home or just a room.

Need a dancing floor? I really wanted a make one and made it. Bright colors and syncing with music is perfect. So far I bought 14 of them and my kids love them and enjoying.

These are great for movies/videos games. Especially if you have the Phillips hue app on your pc, entertainment mode mimics what is on the screen to the lights in the living room. Also there’s tons of themes you can set up, works great with Siri and my HomeKit, lights turn on when I arrive at my condo. Pretty cool.

Great light bulbs! If you are using Alexa, make sure you have the bridge to get the full features. The echo plus limits you to just a few colors.

The smaller hue bulbs are fantastic and lamps and accent lighting. However, for a downward facing dining room light the flood is necessary.

I have purchased many of the hue lights before. It was just another set to ad to the growing collection that help light my house with RGB

I own three of these for my T.V. Room, and they are marvelous. Especially for the Light and Color Bulbs their price can seem daunting and the bulb itself a bit gimmicky before purchasing. But I do not regret it at all. The app for using these is super handy for changing all the individual lights or groups in the house. Pairing with my Google Home gives me access to voice controls, and pairing it with the IFTTT app, (If This Then That), unlocks a whole new world of possibilities. With that, do not plan on using your existing dimmers with this product. There are compatibility issues between the wires, bulbs, and dimmers. I read about this online before purchasing, and it wound up applying to me too. What happens is the lights will turn off, and turn on to full brightness, but in between there is power delivery issues and will cause the lights to rapidly flicker on and off in non sequential ways. I did purchase the Philips Hue dimmer switch for $25, and it works well. BUT, this is definitely not a problem for me, and I don't think it makes it not worth 5 stars. All in all, these are some fantastic products, and i truly recommend. Any tech head out there will love this, and get lost in all of the possibiliites this offers.

The bulbs are very easy to set up. Works well with Alexa. Love being able to automatically set times for them to turn on, dim and turn off. Also color changes make light much easier on the eyes early morning and late evening.

I love my bulbs! I have a bunch! It’s so easy to adjust the mood in the house whether you’re entertaining or just staying in to watch TV. I like the app and find it easy to program my lights to come on and off at night. The bulbs can get pricey if you’re buying a lot but it’s a lot let drama than requiring or putting a timer on switches. I love all the colors too. So fun!

A nice flood bulb. Good color. Greens are pretty deep unlike early generations. No issues with setup. I only knocked one star off because these should be down to half of what they are retail. They are no longer a new product and would see better wide adoption at a slightly better price point.

Takes lighting to a whole new level. Very easy to choose different light programs from app you can download (Free) from App Store. I purchased two flood type lights. From my phone I can turn on, off set different colors and intensities! I can have lights turn on automatically when I arrive home or turn off when I leave. You can also create times when lights come on and turn off all from your phone!! Check out soothing colors before you sleep or watch tv. I love them. Going to buy more for my basement media room!!!

I have some 30 can lights and I went with the Hue Floodlights to replace the lights in those cans. These Hue lights give me the control of lighting I’m looking for. I can pick the can I want lit or create color scenes that fit the mood from bright wake up lighting to movie lighting, or just having night light lighting. Pro - You can set the lighting just how you like it. It’s easy to set up if your able to work the app. Lots of flexibility and stuff to try. Con - It can be a bit pricey to do a whole house. Teaching people to leave the switches on an use the hue dimmers (add on) can take while, I added switch covers. There can be a bit of a learning curve to figuring some of the things you can do although a YouTube search and you can get the answers pretty quickly. All in all I love my hue lights. For me it’s worth it!
