Bean Pet Activity Tracker had no charge new, I had trouble making contact with charging cable contacts. The item must have been on the shelf a while since it only worked for one day because the battery charge only lasted one day. We used this tracker on cats. They were very unhappy. even if we had a good unit, It would have been a difficult chore to take these trackers off to charge and reattach. Not for fussy cats. The manufacture expects you to use Facebook. I will not use Facebook.

This device is pretty cool, i slipped it on my cat (had to put a collar on her unfortunately, which she doesn't normally wear) and after 3-4 days I've been collecting her sleeping and play patterns. It's not super interesting (turns out she isn't training for an iron cat competition) but I do know that one day when she is sick or I feel something is off, I can slip the collar back on and get quantitative data confirming my suspicions. Btw, pet sleeps ~16-17 hours with 4-5 hours of play (like 10 minutes of high activity). Confirmed cat. Some people had issues with charging, and I did too; heres my advice: 1. You really need to push that sucker in the charger and there should be no gap between the end of the pull and the cutout on the charger. 2. A lot of USB chargers these days shut off current when they detect the draw is low. This thing draws very little power when charging, so its best to plug it into a computer or a purpose built USB port which doesn't have any 'intelligent' charging features. Or you can do what I did, and plug it into a battery pack and keep hitting the 'wake' button on the battery every 5 minutes. Takes ~30 mins to charge. Used it for 4 days now, battery went from 96 -> 92%

This is a great activity tracker for my pet!! It helps me make sure my dog gets the exercise he needs and its fun seeing how he rates with the other pets in the same age group. Now it's not only me using my Fitbit to track my activity but I also get to track my pet's activity with Poof. It's been a fun thing to do together to help both of us stay in shape and healthy.

Call it ignorance but we thought it worked from afar. It works by blue tooth and has to be synced by data. We are returning it.
