The story of the Bibles legendary strongman and the woman who seduces and betrays him, produced in the glorious style that made the name C.B. DeMille virtually synonymous with the Old Testament epics. Victor Mature flexes his muscles through such scenes as Samsons barehanded battle with a lion, his single-handed assault on a thousand Philistine soldiers, his struggle with a giant, and finally a truly spectacular climax where he pulls down the pagan temple. All that action, in itself, make the picture exciting. But it's the presence of the seductive lady with the scissors, inimitably played by Hedy Lamarr.
