Overall, the headphones work well they have great sound quality, and bass. My only grip is that they do fall out of my ears whenever I start to sweat, and I often have to clear all the speaker portion at the top of the device, but they work or what I need them for pertaining to my steam deck and cell phone.

The Razer Hammerhead V3 Hyperspeed earbuds surprised me. I typically use over-ear headphones for gaming and earbuds for work, so I was curious whether these could successfully do both. Setup was straightforward. Bluetooth pairing was simple and worked well. The 2.4GHz Hyperspeed mode is even better, at the cost of occupying a USB-C port. The low-latency connection means there is no noticeable delay between what is happening on screen and what you hear. I even ran an AV sync test and couldn't sense any latency between the audio and video, which was impressive. The Hyperspeed dongle can be plugged directly into your device or stored in the charging case. When connected, the case acts as a USB-C passthrough, allowing you to use Hyperspeed mode while charging the case and only consuming a single USB-C port, which is a clever design. Comfort is another highlight. The earbuds are lightweight and comfortable, even during extended use. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC Mode) works well and does a good job reducing background distractions. It can also be quickly switched to Ambient mode by holding the touch surface on an earbud. Sound quality is solid across the board. Games sound immersive, music has plenty of detail, and dialogue comes through clearly. The Razer Synapse software can be used to tune EQ settings and other advanced features, though I was more than satisfied with the out-of-box sound profile .Despite their compact size, they get surprisingly loud without introducing noticeable distortion. Battery life is impressive as well. Between the earbuds and charging case, I rarely found myself thinking about charging. The ability to switch between Bluetooth and Hyperspeed modes also makes them versatile enough to move between my gaming PC, work laptop, console, and phone without needing separate audio devices. Touch controls are responsive and support a variety of gestures. I never fully memorized every shortcut, but the controls consistently worked when I used them. Features like automatic pause when removing an earbud are nice quality-of-life additions that make everyday use feel polished. Overall, the Razer Hammerhead V3 Hyperspeed earbuds strike a great balance between gaming performance and everyday usability. They sound great, are comfortable for long sessions, and are versatile enough that I can see myself using them for both gaming and work without needing separate headphones.

These Razer gaming earpods are top shelf. I wore them to work all day for meetings/music and they did not disappoint. I usually wear airpods but these were much more comfortable for all day use. They boast up to 40 hours of battery life. I charged the case and pods full before use and they were at 24% life after 8 hours of continuous use. Bonus, I did not have the phantom earbud feeling when removing them at the end of the day, like I do with my airpods, so SCORE. The charging case also houses the USB-C compact dongle (see pic). Connecting the pods to my pc via Bluetooth and the dongle was a snap. This quick connectivity is where these shine imo. I had them connected to my laptop, pc, and phone at the same time. Switching back and forth is super easy, you just tap 3x on either the left or right earbud. Toggling between the ANC and Ambient sound is super easy as well, just press and hold for 2 seconds the left earbud. They come with extra silicone ear-tips, S,M,L. The mediums are pre-installed on the earbuds out of the box. My favorite thing and this may sound stupid; is the fact you can check the battery levels a couple ways. To check the battery charging case level, simply press the button on the bottom of the case. (see pic) The case will light up green for high charge, yellow for mid, and you guessed it, red for low. SUPER helpful little design addition imo. To check the earbuds level, place them in the case and the color scheme is right off the traffic light same as the case level. The charging cable is rather small imo but who really cares, y’all by now have at least 20 USB-C charging cables at your disposal like the rest of us. Using these with my PS5 was a great experience. Just like the PC, super easy connections and great audio experience. Make sure you download the app and utilize the THX spatial audio for the best sound. I like everything about these earbuds and highly recommend them to anyone!!

BUILD / FEEL The build quality feels solid. The earbuds and charging case do not feel cheap, and everything has a premium feel. The silicone tips are comfortable and flexible, allowing me to wear them for several hours without discomfort. The biggest issue I have is with the design. The earbuds have a slippery finish, and the placement inside the charging case feels awkward. I have already dropped them multiple times while trying to remove them or place them back in the case. They are not heavy, but they can be difficult to handle. A textured finish would have made a big difference. WIRELESS PERFORMANCE The HyperSpeed wireless feature is probably the strongest part of these earbuds. When connected through Bluetooth, I noticed a slight delay while gaming. You can see the action on screen and then hear the sound just a fraction of a second later. It is not terrible, but it is noticeable. Once I switched to the HyperSpeed dongle, the lag was dramatically reduced. Gaming felt much more responsive and synchronized. If you plan on buying these for gaming, I would strongly recommend using the dongle whenever possible. SOUND QUALITY The sound quality is good, but it does not quite live up to what I expected from a gaming-focused earbuds. The highs are clear, dialogue is easy to understand, and environmental sounds come through well. Directional audio cues are easy to identify during gameplay, which helps when gaming competitively. Where the earbuds fall short is bass. Explosions, action scenes, and game soundtracks lack the impact I expected. The sound is clean but feels a little weak at times. For casual gaming, YouTube, podcasts, and everyday listening, they perform well. For serious gamers or anyone who enjoys deep, powerful audio, they may leave you wanting more. NOISE CANCELLATION The active noise cancellation is decent but not great. It helps reduce background noise during travel, gaming, or everyday use, but it should not be the main reason you buy these earbuds. If your goal is maximum noise cancellation, a full-size over-ear ANC headset will perform much better. The feature works, but it is not a great selling point. AMBIENT MODE This was one of my biggest disappointments. Ambient Mode is supposed to allow you to hear your surroundings while still wearing the earbuds. Instead, it introduces a noticeable hissing sound that reminds me of loud static. While it technically lets outside sounds in, the constant loud static hiss makes the feature unpleasant to use. I ended up turning it off and never really using it again. BATTERY LIFE Battery life has been solid so far. I have not tested the full advertised battery life, but they easily handled a six-hour flight while being used for gaming, YouTube videos, and active noise cancellation. For my usage, battery performance has not been an issue. TOUCH CONTROLS & APP The touch controls are another area that needs improvement. Many times I found myself tapping the earbuds repeatedly trying to trigger a command. Because the earbuds fit somewhat loosely and have a slippery finish, tapping them often causes them to move rather than register the press. The app is functional but basic. It works, but it is not particularly intuitive and does not offer as many customization options as I expected. The biggest issue with these earbuds is that they never quite reach their potential. There are several things they do well. The HyperSpeed wireless connection is excellent, the battery life is good, and the build quality feels premium. At the same time, the weak bass response, poor Ambient Mode, inconsistent touch controls, and slippery design prevent them from being a great product. None of these issues are deal breakers by themselves, but together they keep these earbuds from standing out in a crowded market. OVERALL However, they also have enough shortcomings that I would have a hard time recommending them to a serious audiophile gamer. The bass lacks impact, Ambient Mode is disappointing, and the touch controls can be frustrating. If you are looking for a versatile set of earbuds for casual gaming, travel, and everyday listening, they are worth considering. If you are chasing the good-great gaming audio experience, I think there are better options available.

Who are these people? Well people who wear earbuds for gaming and want to go wireless. I have a separate cardioid mic so no worries there and if I need to change songs, I just use my keyboard or UI. I'll say it straight like this, I despise regular headsets for denting my head and messing my hair, I have gotten used to IEMs for the past 3 years, sometimes I need to get up from my desk but Bluetooth connection was too unstable for this, so the receiver solves that problem. Do these earbuds suck?? well for an all-in-one package yeah, but they work for me for what I need them. Other than that, the battery is good; the case is a little bigger than the air pods pro case. The audio drivers are actually not that bad. If you tweak the EQ, you can get some decent audio quality and bass out fo these. MIC is not good at all. The ANC is even worse. Would I recommend these to someone? Probably not. I only know a handful of people who wear IEMs or earbuds for gaming for a similar price, you can probably get you a decent wireless headset. If you are one of the odd ones like me, I would say consider it.

There is a lot to like about the Razer Hammerhead gaming earbuds. There are also a few things that i don't like as much. I will start off by saying that the sound quality on these earbuds are excellent. That is what i use as my highest measuring stick. You do typically purchase audio equipment for it's performance after all. Music is crystal clear and i feel like i can hear all notes in high definition. It is also well balanced with the ability to adjust via the equalizer. They shine even brighter while gaming. You feel surrounded with immersive sound and with ANC on, it comes very close to rivaling over the ear headphones. But these are more compact and portable. I also love how you can use them like traditional earbuds connecting via Bluetooth, but can also connect them via usb type c. The usb dongle stores away in the case, which is very convenient. Now onto the app. It only works when you are connected to a network. This means you cannot use the razor app when you are on a flight on airplane mode. This is kind of a big deal. You will definitely need to learn the physical touch controls so you can toggle settings without the use of the app. When you are connected to the app, it is extremely useful. You can adjust all settings such as equalizer and noise cancelation. It is well made and lives up to Razer's standard of quality. Overall, i really enjoy using the Razer Hammerhead earbuds. I can take them anywhere and use them on almost any device. The battery lasts almost all day. Just consider that they may not be the best of you travel with a lot of flights.

The Razer Hammerhead V3 are solid gaming earbuds, but there are a few things to be desired. Whether gaming, music, or chats, the sound quality is very good. I used them on the PC and with my cell phone. To get the most out of it, use the wireless 2.4ghz dongle and THX audio settings. The noise canceling is exceptional. I could hear almost nothing of the outside world when playing with medium volume levels. However, with ambient sound on, I felt like I had hearing superpowers. I could hear everything super amplified. It was very distracting. The drawback for me was comfort. About an hour in, my inner ears started to get sore. However, I don't think this is necessarily a problem specific to Razer. The buds are a bit on the larger side, but nothing egregious. The touch buttons on the side are a bit finicky, and sometimes it takes me a few tries to change settings. The charging case is nice and the charge holds for a very long time. Overall, I would definitely use these as my travel gaming buds, but I wouldn't use these as primary.

The Razer Hammerhead V3 Hyperspeed gaming earbuds are a solid addition to any gamers collection, but I don’t know that I would rely on them for all of my gaming needs. Inside the box, you are going to get a case, charging cable, and the instructions. Within the case, you have your earbuds as well as a USB-C dongle. Yes, I am older, but I have pretty good vision. Trying to read that silver script on the black instruction manual is a joke. Thank goodness you could find that online. I won’t knock them for trying to be slick there. For connection purposes, you have your option of using the Bluetooth or the 2.4 GHz dongle. I used both methods for checking these out. I also connected them to my phone as well as my PC. It worked well in both cases, but I will say that Razer Synapse gave me a ton of issues connecting it to the PC. I keep everything up to date, but I had to do some work to get it connected there. It’s not the first time that I’ve had issues with Synapse as well. Once it was connected, I was impressed with the performance. The mobile app on Android was easy to install, connect, and work with. I certainly welcomed that ease. The sound quality listening to music or playing games was top notch. With the ability to adjust the EQ via app, it can make it that much better when you change it up to the media you are enjoying. I thought the voices came through nicely even though the bass was booming. Is it as good as others out there? No. However, you’re looking more at the wireless gaming need here. In that area, it performed quite well. I thought the sound was spot on and there was no noticeable lag while gaming. Everything seemed to be near real-time and that was a pleasant change compared to other earbuds that I have tried to use in the past. One final note that I will mention on the audio is the ANC. I thought it performed well on my phone via Bluetooth. The ANC experience on the PC was not as good. There was a low level static sound or like air blowing present. I tried everything to get that to clear up, but I couldn’t find anything to help. Ultimately, I think the audio quality makes the Razer Hammerhead V3 a good sell. Fixing up some of these other issues could make it a great sell. I don’t think I would use these as my primary audio method for gaming unless I am on the go. I would definitely consider using them for other audio needs though. If someone is all things Razer, then this is probably a great way to go. If they aren’t, then there might be other options to review.

At this point in Razer’s existence, I struggle to think of a gaming peripheral they don’t make. From their humble beginnings as a premium gaming mouse brand to the international juggernaut marketing high-end gaming laptops for eSports professionals, it comes as no surprise they had diversified into already-crowded segments like noise-canceling earbuds while differentiating themselves with the things gamers value most. In this case, it’s latency - even I can attest there’s nothing that takes you out of the game more than desynchronized audio. Razer’s line of noise-canceling earbuds now reached its third generation, further iterating on the success of the Hammerhead series with the new V3 HYPERSPEED. I was excited to get these as I needed a new pair of earbuds for travel, and though they do a great job overall I still find myself wanting for a few changes that significantly cheaper and older wireless earbuds have figured out. - Unboxing and Setup The Hammerhead V3 earbuds start with Razer’s usual flair for crisp packaging, with an elegant, straight-to-the-point presentation that does about as minimalist an introduction as it needs. A quickstart guide in the box shows you the easiest way to get started pairing via Bluetooth if that’s what you prefer, or you can simply plug in the tiny USB-C receiver to get started on a PC, game console, or other compatible device. A short, braided USB-C cable with a right-angle tip on one end makes for easy charging. Once paired via Bluetooth or simply put “Hyperspeed” mode for the USB-C receiver, that’s all that’s needed to start using the earbuds with volume control handled via the host device. Razer includes 3 sets of earbud tips for different ear canal sizes, with the medium size installed by default. Switching to another size is fairly easy as the silicone tips grip the earbud on a ridge at the end of the earphone. Third party or custom-fit earbuds should be possible as these seem to share a common design with popular earbud styles. On PC, Razer offers Synapse as a companion app that offers equalizer control and spatial sound functionality for the Hammerhead V3’s, and on mobile devices Razer Audio offers similar equalizer control. No app is required and the earbuds don’t directly - Sound Quality, Latency, and ANC We’ll cut right to the chase - the Hammerhead V3’s have excellent sound quality overall. I’m surprised just how crisp and clear all types of audio are through the earbuds, with mids and highs that don’t get overpowered by the lows. The balance of the bass leans a little more “punchy” than “boomy,” and it could stand to be ever so slightly louder, but very low-end sounds are indeed audible. I’d put these on-par with a midrange set of over-ear headphones; the response curve angles downward toward the lows but stays relatively flat higher up. For a set of earbuds, these perform very well and may even outperform comparably-priced sets. For voice chat and calls, the integrated microphones do a surprisingly great job capturing voice clearly with a good balance of sound. Unfortunately they don’t seem to have any beam forming or noise canceling, and they do capture low volume sound and noise from in front of you. The fans on my laptop at full bore could be heard in the mic feed, though others on the call said it was barely noticeable. Your mileage may vary! The big differentiator for these earbuds over others is the inclusion of the HYPERSPEED wireless receiver, promising latency-free sound that Bluetooth audio hasn’t quite mastered yet. Indeed, sound from the 2.4GHz wireless dongle is as good as lag-free to this older gamer - if there’s any latency at all, it’s at most a frame or two on my 180Hz display when I’m sitting in front of my PC. Bluetooth has the usual quarter-to-half second delay, but Bluetooth LE Low Latency is supported for better synchronizing media playback, and this works just as well on the Hammerhead V3 as it does on my typical set of travel earbuds. The active noise canceling on the Hammerhead V3 is unfortunately not up to par with modern earbuds. They do a decent job canceling out noise in a louder environment, but this comes at the expense of a noticeable hissing when low volume or no audio is playing. This seems to be a limitation of the microphones in the Hammerhead, because when switching from ANC to Ambient mode, the sound coming through is very echo-y and somewhat overblown…almost sounding like you’re listening to the outside world with plastic drink cups over your ears. I really would’ve liked to see a third mode where no ANC or ambient environment pass-through amplification is turned on at all, because these inescapable modes drag the Hammerhead V3 down quite a bit. If you’re gaming with ANC enabled you likely won’t have any complaints, but I’m disappointed that the low-volume and “Ambient” performance is behind budget-oriented ANC earbuds - Controls & Range Compounding my frustration with the ANC is that the tap controls on the Hammerhead V3 struggle to register anything except a slow, deliberate press with at least a quarter second hold. Tapping once on the earbuds to start/stop playback or triple-tapping to switch ANC modes (or inputs) is hard to reliably get the earbuds to register, oftentimes requiring me to repeat the input more slowly, and at least once I had held my slow and deliberate “tap” just slightly too long and triggered a different function. It also seems like the sweet spot to trigger the capacitive touch control isn’t very large at all. Perhaps it’s better there’s no volume control on the earbuds…it’s harder than it should be to quickly and casually activate functions I have no trouble doing on other ANC earbuds. At the very least, the Hammerhead V3 has excellent range for a set of earbuds. On either Bluetooth or Hyperspeed connections I had no trouble leaving the charging case and dongle in one room while I walked through my house, only finding the spot of distortion once I was three rooms away and needing to go to the opposite end of a townhouse, two floors away to get them to disconnect. I suspect the unusually long microphone tips on each earbud double as antenna real estate. - Battery Life & Charging Razer’s claim of up to 40 hours battery life for the Hammerhead V3 comes with the huge caveat that it’s rated based on how many full charges the case can provide for the earbuds without itself needing a recharge. The earbuds themselves seem to last about 7 hours per charge, and the oversized case seems to drain roughly 20-25% per full recharge per the LED status indicator, so on the low end that would be 35 hours after initial charge with 4 recharge sessions, or 42 hours with 5 sessions. The earbuds only take about 30 minutes to fully recharge in their charging case, so if you’re taking a break every couple hours when gaming and putting them back in the case you may never see them run out on you mid-session. If you want continuous performance, the Hammerhead V3’s charging case also functions as a pass-through for the HYPERSPEED receiver, so you can always keep the case charged while actively using the Hammerhead V3’s. Functionally, great stuff! - Bottom Line While I have my complaints with the ANC quality and difficulty with getting tap controls to register, Razer’s Hammerhead V3 earbuds put out some great sound for gaming and media, do a good job capturing voice, and their hallmark feature of “hyperspeed” latency on USB-C connected devices make them a worthy consideration for gaming on the go. These will be my new set for work travel for sure. Despite the drawbacks, the Hammerhead V3 earbuds come recommended!

This is particularly evident in Razer's Android app. A user couldn't ask for a simpler, easy to use, app. Controls are minimal and straightforward. Everything in the app is logically presented and easy to use first time out of the box. Excellent work Razer! Now, the not so hot. Razer, are you ever going to get your Synapse software up to the competition? Even though I appreciate your efforts to improve Synapse, these new Hammerheads really show just how behind the times your Synapse software is. Setting up the new Hammerheads with a Windows PC was an exercise in frustration. WAY more frustrating than I've experienced with others' earbuds. The included pamphlet does little to help the end user. It took me nearly 20 minutes to get the Hammerheads to work with my PC. Why? Because of poor Razer documentation and details. Synapse does not contain the necessary files to natively allow your Hammerhead v3's to work out of the box and Razer doesn't tell you this. Something I haven't had to do for a LONG time is go to the manufacturer's website to decipher how to make their product work. Synapse doesn't natively support all the modules to make the v3's work properly. Nope. Users have to download the separate pairing utility and the firmware updating utility. I don't mind having to download additional software, what I do mind is there is no documentation or tutorial to make it easier on the buyer. Had I not went to the help section, I would still be trying to get the Hyperspeed dongle to work. This is unacceptable in today's day and age. There are too many other options out there and it is off-putting when a user has to struggle to get their latest gizmo or gadget figured out. On a positive note, the Hammerheads did ship with the latest firmware update. Thank you Razer. SOUND QUALITY On a lighter note. There is nothing off-putting about the v3's audio reproduction. The ear buds have a nice, consistent quality with just enough openness to not feel burdened or over-tasked. Bass goes down deep enough to be pleasing, but falls short of the competition in attitude and aggression. Others go down considerably farther and offer more oomph. I find the standard Razer audio profiles unpleasant. Everyone of them seems to over-emphasize the high-end treble making the v3's sound brash and harsh. Unpleasantly so. However, with a little tweaking, it's easy enough to roll back the upper frequencies making for a much more pleasant and uniform experience. Kudos to Razer for making the equalizer so easy to tweak and tailor to end-users' preferences. ANC Unfortunately, this is another area that leave me uninspired. The v3's eek out an average score (for me) in their ANC capabilities. Whether it be paired via Bluetooth to my Pixel 10 Pro or connected to my PC, the ANC is just so-so. The v3's cannot effectively drown out the keystrokes of my membrane keyboard, or effectively drown out ambient TV noise in the same room. Even with the volume down low, the ANC properties are quite poor and TV audio is very perceptible with little to no perceivable attenuation. To make matters worse, when switched to Ambient mode, it introduces a terrible amount of digital hiss into the audio. MUCH more than any other earbuds or headphones I've reviewed recently. FINAL THOUGHTS I appreciate Razer's hard work in making the Hammerhead v3's so easy to use with mobile devices. Set-up, configuration, usage is so simple. I wish their gaming side was more refined. If it wasn't for the help section on their website, I'd still be struggling. It's not as simple as plugging in the dongle and getting the software. Users need additional software not mentioned any place but the help section and there is a specific set of steps that must be followed to get the Hammerheads to communicate with not only the PC, but the dongle as well. Mix the complicated set-up process with below average ANC performance and it makes the Hammerheads a tough sell. Luckily, they do have good audio quality. I found their overall music and gaming abilities quite good with no glaring issues or unpleasantries. If you are fully invested in the Razer ecosystem, the Hammerhead v3's may make more sense, but if not, there are better performing alternatives in the marketplace. FINAL VERDICT: AVERAGE

I’ve been testing the new Razer Hammerhead Hyperspeed gaming earbuds over the last 3 days, and overall they definitely are a strong step up, especially compared to a lot of the regular true wireless earbuds I’ve tried before. These feel like quality upgraded gaming earbuds that deliver where it matters most for gameplay. Getting the sound just right did take some time though. Out of the box it wasn’t quite what I expected, although descent, I spent a while playing with the EQ and especially utilizing the Razer THX Spatial Audio app to fine-tune the settings. I tested them across a few games I enjoy playing regularly, Arc Raiders and PUBG for gaming, plus a few songs and movie trailers to get a broader sense of the sound quality. Even after that tweaking, I still feel the audio could use more refinement and punch in certain areas. The mids and highs are decent, but I was really hoping for that next-level clarity and depth that would make them sound truly premium. They’re a clear upgrade from cheaper options for sure, but they still have some room to grow before hitting that “wow” factor I was looking for. These can definitely be used universally for gaming, music, and videos, but you will have to tweak the sound a bit to get it where you want it through the Razer THX Spatial Audio app. That said, one area where they really shine is the directional and spatial sound. Thanks in large part to the Razer THX Spatial Audio app, the way they handle positioning and immersion in games is genuinely impressive. Footsteps, explosions, and in-game sound effects all feel much more accurate and helpful during gameplay, especially in Arc Raiders and PUBG. That feature alone makes a big difference and is one of the main reasons I’d recommend them for gaming. On the technical side, they offer solid benefits like ultra-low latency connectivity (great for competitive play), reliable Bluetooth performance, and good battery life that held up well during my multi-day testing. I got plenty of playtime per charge, with the case providing convenient recharges for extended sessions. Comfort-wise, these have been a really nice alternative to wearing full-sized headphones for long sessions. They fit comfortably in the ears and come with three different tip sizes, which is nice. I had to switch from the standard medium tips that were already mounted to the smaller ones since they felt better and more secure for me. It’s great that you can adjust these based on preference. They feel much lighter overall and don’t cause the same fatigue or pressure that over-ears sometimes do. I can wear them for hours without irritation, which is a big plus. Pairing them did have a small hiccup with the left earbud at first, but after a full charge, cleaning the contacts, and doing a quick reset they synced up fine and have been solid since. Battery life has been reliable too, and the case feels well-built. Overall, these are quality upgraded gaming earbuds that deliver strong spatial performance through the Razer THX Spatial Audio app and solid comfort. They’re not perfect on every aspect of the sound yet, but they’re definitely a step forward and a great option if you want something more portable than traditional headphones without sacrificing too much performance.

I've never had gaming earbuds. I've always had the over the ear headphones. After spending a week with the Razer Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed, I've completely changed my mind about gaming and earbuds. I've never seen earbuds with a wireless dongle but it all makes sense now because of the latency advantages, and Razer gives you gaming grade 2.4GHz wireless on top of the regular bluetooth. I use them most of the time on my PC, but you can easily take these with you anywhere and use them as your daily drivers as well. - Unboxing - They come in a classic Razer black and green box. You get the earbuds in the charging case, the USB-C dongle, a short charging cable, extra ear tips, and the documentation. There are three tip sizes, with the mediums already on the buds. The dongle fits tightly right into the case so you can't lose it. I can pull the dongle out and use it on its own, or just plug the whole case into my PC and play while it charges. - Design & Build - The design is simple and clean, which I like. There's a matte finish, small Razer logo, no RGB besides one subtle accent inside the case. You could wear these anywhere and nobody would look twice. The case has a little LED bar on the front for charging and pairing. Everything feels well made, the lid snaps shut, nothing feels delicate or fragile. Each earbud is about 5.5 grams so they're light. The one thing I noticed is the ear pieces are slightly wider than most earbuds, since the drivers inside are larger at 11mm. They're also IPX4, so sweat when you're working out, and a little rain are no problem. - Comfort - They fit my ears great right out of the box on the medium tips that were already on them. They seal up tight and block a ton of outside noise on their own. I've worn them for hours at my PC and my ears don't get sore. However, the fit is going to depend on your ear shape more than usual because of the nozzle width, so try the different tip sizes and get a good seal before you begin to listen to them. - Performance - The 2.4GHz wireless on PC is the part that sold me. The audio is tight and in sync and I never notice any lag. That lag was the whole reason I stuck with wired headphones before, and it's just gone here. THX Spatial Audio runs through Razer Synapse and actually helps you hear where sounds are coming from, and you can adjust with the EQ in there too. The positional sound is excellent. The thing that shocked me is the bass. These have enormous bass with real depth, and it doesn't break up, distort, or take over the rest of the sound. I figured I'd have to boost it in the EQ and instead I just left it alone. It has great balance with the mids and highs. Razer did an excellent job here. I found myself listening to music as much as I was gaming. The ANC is good on steady low sounds like a fan or AC, less so on sharp high sounds, but the tight seal already blocks a lot. There's a transparency mode when you want to hear the rest of your environment. Touch controls are play, pause, skipping, volume, mic mute, and switching between Bluetooth and 2.4GHz. Switching from my PC to my phone was easy. The battery has been great. I can get a full day off just the earbuds, and it charges through USB-C while I play. I have been able to get 3 more full charges through the case until I needed to actually charge the case. - Pros & Cons - *Pros* *2.4GHz wireless *Enormous bass and full depth of sound *Comfortable for long gaming sessions *Battery lasts all day *Charges while you play *Music sounds great too *Cons* *Battery could be better *ANC is good, not great I had never used gaming earbuds and these changed my mind completely. The wireless is tight, the bass is huge, the battery lasts, and they fit me well enough to wear all day. If you game on PC and want to drop the headset cable without the lag, these are great. I highly recommend trying them out, they will surprise you.

I've used a lot of earbuds before and would never think to use any of them with a gaming computer or console. I don't don't associate bluetooth audio with gaming and that might be a mental block in my head. These Razer earbuds don't have that issue, though, because it comes with a hyperspeed dongle for connecting as a USB audio device for low latency audio. Setup was quick and easy as with most headphones with a dongle. Just plug in the dongle and it should connect without an issue. There was a small hiccup, though. The hammerhead's come in bluetooth mode by default so I had to look up how to switch to hyperspeed mode before I could get started. A small setback and learning how to switch modes is pretty essential because you could accidentally switch back to bluetooth while handling them as well. They also don't have any sort of dual mode at once functionality so you'll need to switch between modes when you want to swap to your phone or bluetooth device after using them with your PC or console. One really cool feature is that the charging case for the earbuds has a slot for the dongle. But it's not just a carry slot. It's an actual USB-C passthrough so you can plug your dongle into the case and the case becomes the charger and the transmitter. This helps to get the transmitter closer to your earbuds if you have a lot of interference as well as just being convenient. The cable that comes with is pretty short though so I would suggest something longer if you're going this route. Audio quality is pretty good. I'm not an audiophile by any means but I know what sounds good to me and these sound pretty good no matter what media is being played. Games, music, audiobooks.. I've listened to and enjoyed the sound of all of them. Noise canceling works well enough to drown out the kids while I'm trying to work downstairs. If I had to find a single downside for these headphones all around, I can say that I could hear really tiny warbles/artifacts while listening through the hyperspeed dongle. I don't really blame the headphones, though, because my home is really full of 2.4ghz interference and there aren't many headphones that don't occasionally introduce some of those warbles. These were incredibly small so I didn't find them too distracting. Comfort is actually really good for these. I forget there in (almost) sometimes. After long sessions, I've conscientiously thought about how my ears don't hurt or feel any pain at random moments. I'd think about how long I've been wearing them and actually be surprised. It's anecdotal, for sure. Your mileage may vary but for me these are very comfortable and I could even see myself using them a lot more than my over-ear headphones during the summer because of how much hotter they are over my ears. Gestures are always a thing I either forget about. That or I just don't remember how many taps this one function requires when I actually need it. I need to do a lot more to practice the gestures so I can remember them. But as far as responsiveness of the touch sensor. It seems to work nicely. Changing modes requires a triple tap and I never had an issue with it. Removing an earbud also pauses whatever audio you have going (if capable). I'm confident if I took the time to learn the volume and play/next/prev gestures, they'd all work just fine. There's a pretty long list of gestures in the instructions so if you're one who likes to nail down all the shortcuts, you might have fun there. All in all, these are very comfortable and very versitile earbuds. They sound great aside from a little interference noise you might experience if you have a lot of 2.4ghz interference where you are as well. If you're in the market for some earbuds you can game with, give these a look and feel.

Razer - Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed Wireless Multi-Platform ANC In-Ear Gaming Earbuds Summary: Amazing performance and value from a trusted name in gaming. Use: I used these while playing games so that I can maximize immersion and also (okay, primarily) to not disturb the household late at night. I have tried both wireless modes (2.4 GHz and Bluetooth). The types of games I play are mostly MMORPGS such as Guild Wars 2, World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls Online, and also games like Hogwarts Legacy and Destiny 2. I also use them while working and listening to music. The Active Noise Cancellation is performant and does well to filter out background sound (great especially for listening in on meetings). The microphone, however, isn't anything to write home about. In fact, it works - but I configure my computer to route microphone from my video camera instead of using the headset's microphone for this reason. The short of things is simply that these are a great value for their price point and perform remarkably well. The sound is rich and the bass feels nice in your ears. The earbuds feel nice, too. They insert and fit securely. I don't experience um... ear fatigue of having them inserted. Pros: * Brand. Razer is a trusted gaming brand for our household and we're fans. We expect these to perform well and, more importantly, hold up over time. * Build quality. The buds and case both feel nice and well made. The included nook for the 2.4 GHz USB-C dongle is great. It's not fussy. * App. The app is pretty no frills. It allows control of EQ and also mode switching between BT and 2.4 GHz. Exactly all it needs to do! Pairing the buds is a snap. * Charging/ carrying case. The case offers an alleged long period of charging/use from the buds (30-25 hours). The LED bar provides a clear view of status while pairing, charging, etc. * Portability. These buds work across a variety of platforms: PC, PS5, Steam Deck, mobile phones (in my case iPhone), and tablets. * Latency control. I'll be honest... I'm not convinced 2.4 GHz vs Bluetooth 6.0 actually is something I needed particularly with the ubiquity of Bluetooth these days and its general reliability and performance. Frnakly, I'm not even sure I could detect "latency" or lag in audio - but I also am not a competitive gamer. Even so, I think its great to give consumers options. * USB-C charging. Silly to mention this still, but it features a standard USB-C charging port. Cons: * The case is relatively large for an earbud case. Not a deal breaker, but it is larger. * Removing and reinserting the earbuds from/to the case is a little annoying. The orientation of the buds make getting a comfortable grip on them difficult. Not a deal breaker and I'm sure I'll get used to it. I've already dropped the case and buds once while preparing for bed in the dark just because of this, though. If you're looking for great pair of earbuds with a long battery/ playtime, these are a great fit and I recommend them.

I have been using Razer gaming accessories for a few years now; in fact, my current gaming setup relies heavily on their products for sound and controls. When I saw these new Hammerhead v3 earbuds, I knew I had to try them out. I used to use the first generation of these Hammerhead earbuds and can say that they have improved just about everything since that first attempt. Sound is excellent, and even the ANC is very good. I really just want to keep the fan noise out of my games, and these do an amazing job of eliminating that. Highs and lows are great, and explosions have a nice thump in the earbuds as well. I have started using these over my around-the-ear headphones since they are more comfortable. The app is nice and easy to use; you get pretty much the same experience on an iPhone and Android. I have these paired to both my iPhone 17 PM and my Pixel 10. On that note, I also love that you can pair these to two devices at once, so I normally keep these connected to my phones and use the included USB-C adapter to connect to my gaming rig with 2.4GHz. Changing between inputs is also a breeze since it just requires a quick triple tap on the earbud to flip between Bluetooth and the 2.4GHz mode. Battery life so far has been great. I've only had to charge them once in the week that I have been using them, and that is with some seriously long gaming sessions. If I had to nitpick, I would say that there are two things that I wish they could still improve. First, the transparency mode is very high, like you can hear everything around you amplified. It's a little annoying, and I wish there was a way to adjust the strength of the transparency and ANC for that matter. The second might just be me, but it is a little difficult getting the earbuds out of the case. I feel like there isn't much room to pinch the earbuds out, and I end up pressing my fingers into the lid of the case. All in all, I am very impressed with what Razer is doing with these new v3 Hammerhead earbuds. Sound is great, ANC is strong, and transparency could be dialed down a bit. I love that I can pair more than one device and that you get a 2.4GHz adapter that easily fits in the case with the earbuds. It's also nice to be able to switch between the Bluetooth and 2.4GHz mode by triple-tapping the earbud. All of that with an exceptionally long battery life. These are an easy recommendation.

Bought these to use with Xbox rog ally and was very impressed with the sound and comfort level . Easy to pair and the 2.4 dongle works flawlessly. I did use them to listen to music on my iPhone and the sound was amazing as well.

Great sound quality. Add in the 3D profile on PS5 and man it’s so beautiful. Easy to connect. Hold a charge for a very long time.

Ambient mode is HORRENDOUS. Sharp, loud, scratchy, hissing, etc. "Noise cancelling" is only technically true. Fit is mediocre, equalizer only makes the sound worse with any slider. Bass is too much. I love the 2.4gz wireless connection and the fast switching between connection types. Battery life is great, case is great and the gestures are "OK". I love that there's a mute function for calls but the fact that there's no volume slider is annoying. Frequently encounter glitches where is randomly switches between connection types all by itself, or randomly switching between audio modes (ambient and NC). Only disconnecting and placing them in the case fixes this. Typical razer software and performance glitches.

Recently my friend and I decided to ditch over ear headphones for a set a earbuds when PC gaming. He tried Artics first and hated them, fortunately these released right on time so we grabbed 2 pairs on day one. The sound quality is great, totally passable sound quality even for just listening to music. The Bluetooth pairing is also nice but not meant for gaming. The dongle can plug inside the charging case for a cleaner setup, no need to connect the dongle and case separately. Distance from dongle is excellent, further than most my headphones (30-50ft through walls). Mics are below average but that’s your discord friend’s problem. Still learning how to use the software, the headphones tried to connect to Bluetooth when I was trying to get them to use the 2.4ghz mode and had to switch it through the phone app which is really dumb. I may need to figure out a more straightforward method though. Otherwise we’re keeping these, they’re fine in a sea of crappy buds. No comments on battery life yet, it last longer than I sit and game for (4hrs+)
