The installation went smooth, everything works as advertised. However, before purchasing the installation service you should check to see what other extra parts you will need.

The cost of the additional mount and installation was more than the total price of the unit and brought the price up to about $300. I had the unit installed and it worked great twice and I had to go back and have it worked on. The setting was on the tachometer and needed to be set on voltage for my vehicle. This was a little annoying but it was taken care of as soon as I brought the car back. With this being said, now it works perfect. The range is not as long as I would like but it does work from a few hundred feet. Overall, even with a few problems at first I love this product and use it often. This remote start has a very small one button remote that goes easily on a keychain and is not bulky.

Works great even at a distance. I appreciate the feature that tells me if the car has started. I wish I could turn off the beeping though. The lights are enough for me. M

I bought the Viper remote start online, as well as installation that cost extra. After the install, I hadn't even drove away yet. I noticed my instrument lights were not working. Te installer drove it back in and began checking everything over. After another 45 minutes, he said he didn't know what the problem was. He told me to take it to a dealership to have it checked! He said the install was good, since the remote starter worked! (Even though the lights, as well as instruments didnt.) I called and spoke with store manager. He told me to take it to dealership, and IF the problem was due to the install, I could request reimbursement. I am not finished with this. The dealership said they cut a power wire, and that this remote wouldn't work like the installer tried to do. We'll see what happens, but I want reimbursed for dealership charges, and refunded for my money paid to BestBuy, AFTER the unit is fully remoced!!! I am lovid...

Had viper remote start install at the geek squad in Woodbridge nj , guys were great and professional . Really know their job . I don't have much trust someone else touching my car , but I would trust these guys anytime . Didn't break any tabs on my panels , no, damaged to any of my other electonic components and no mess of wires. Very clean !
