The Micro Edge Styler by RevAir is a small hot iron that is great for short hair where the roots need a lift, especially on the top of your head. I have naturally curly hair, but often the humidity, a sprinkle of rain, or next-day touch-ups after washes are needed. This is perfect because it is only 0.3” wide. Because of its small width, it allows you to lift various areas of your hair that even ½” curling irons cannot reach, because even those small curling irons are too large to apply heat to the root of layered or textured hair. The iron heats from 270 degrees F to 430 degrees F, and the temperature is set by turning the wheel on the inside next to the on/off button. The LED display shows the temperature setting and lets you set the temperature by stopping at the desired heat level. It heats up very quickly. The plates are made of ceramic and tourmaline, which together provide even heat distribution and emit negative ions when heated that neutralize the positive ions in dry, damaged hair. It even has a safety auto-shut off feature after one (1) hour. There is also a lock on the hinge that can be secured for easier travel and storage of the micro-edge styler. It works perfectly for my hair type, and I definitely recommend it.

Works for straighting the edges of my curly hair. I like the ability to control the heat settings.

Review for RevAir - Precision Root & Micro Edge Styler When your hair can look different depending on the season and the weather, this styler is a great tool for wrangling curls that don’t want to be straightened. Being a senior, my hair is graying and getting thinner, so treating it carefully is also important. This styler lets me set the temperature from 270°F to 430°F. The digital display blinks the temperature I set and then stops blinking when it it reaches that temperature. It heats up quickly, mostly under a minute, and is easy to hold and use. There’s no hand fatigue like when holding my old styler, and the thin design lets me redo a problem area with excellent precision. The fine pencil-like tips allow me to straighten difficult curls, or add a bit of flair where I don’t want perfectly straight locks. The plates are coated with tourmaline ceramic, which makes them smooth and able to glide over my hair. The styler cools off quickly enough when I turn it off, but it also includes an automatic shut off after an hour, if I should forget it. (It’s rare, but has happened to me!) It’s easy to lock, and smaller and lighter than any styler I’ve ever owned. This makes it great for packing - it takes so much less space in my suitcase.

First of all, according to my daughter, I am the world's greatest father for getting her the straightener. She loves it. She has naturally curly hair and said that this will come in handy. It works very well, heats up very fast and is nice and thin and even. She said to say that the craftsmanship is everything and that to hold it in your hand and get nice. Straight sections of hair is very simple and very easy. Typically she likes to employ some help when doing her hair like this, but the craftsmanship again touching back on this is what makes it really easy for her. She did say the one downfall was that she had to do her hair in smaller segments. It could be because she's young or could be because of how much gets straightened out of time. So per person and per instance be sure to play with this. The grand conclusion is that this is wonderful. My daughter pointed out that this will probably be her travel straightener as she will leave her great big gigantic one. I got her some time ago at home but this one would definitely go on the road if we ever went on the road. My daughter with type 3 hair highly recommends this.
