Rexing R4 Pro: Wide View, Easy Setup
The Rexing R4 Pro Dashcam is a solid choice for drivers who want comprehensive coverage and reliable daytime performance. With four cameras—front, rear, and two interior—it captures a wide range of angles, making it ideal for rideshare drivers, road trip enthusiasts, or anyone who wants extra peace of mind behind the wheel. The front camera records in crisp 2K resolution, and the other three deliver 1080p, which is more than enough for general monitoring. Daytime footage is especially impressive—clear, sharp, and detailed. The midsize screen is practical and doesn’t obstruct your view, and the lightweight design makes it easy to mount without feeling bulky. Installation was straightforward, and the menu system is intuitive. I appreciated the included hardwire kit, which allows you to connect the dashcam directly to your car’s battery or power source for 24/7 protection. That’s a great feature for anyone concerned about break-ins or parking lot incidents. One of the best features is the built-in Wi-Fi and app support. Connecting the dashcam to your phone is quick and easy, and with 5G, file transfers are impressively fast. You can adjust settings, view footage, and check battery status—all from your phone. It adds a layer of convenience that makes managing the dashcam much smoother. However, there are a few areas where the design could be improved. The adhesive on the mounting bracket wasn’t strong enough to hold the unit on my windshield—it fell off shortly after installation. A stronger adhesive or suction option would be helpful. The SD card slot is awkwardly placed beneath the power cable, making it difficult to access. You have to unplug the power cord just to remove the card, which isn’t ideal. Another limitation is the front camera’s adjustability. You can’t tilt or reposition it independently—you have to move the entire unit to change the angle. Side camera and 5G download speeds
I started using vehicle cameras years ago. Fortunately I had one when a driver pulled out of a parking space and hit me. Their insurance was not going to pay but changed their mind when I showed them the accident video. It saved me a $1,000 deductable and higher rates. This new camera by a trusted vendor ups the game by including a third camera on the main unit. I point this towards the side to get coverage from this area. Video download speeds are now incredibly fast with the three 5G connectivity. The build quality is solid. I strongly recommend that you pick up one off these before you need to prove fault to an insurance company.
