Sadly I would argue that the DVD quality is actually better than this. The complete remastered DVDs contained a lot more extras include Macross II. This doesn't have as much and it cost me almost twice as much. I love Robotech so I am not too disappointed but this version is nothing new besides being made available on Bluray. I took screenshots to compare the bluray and the dvd quality. Sadly I would say that the DVD is better in terms of coloring. There "might" be more detail in the bluray version... but not enough to really notice. Just not impressed

While I don’t really like the changes the remastered version made to Robotech and there is basically no difference from the DVD versions I still bought it cause I’m a sucker for anything Robotech.

Series is amazing and everyone should see it. Truly a revolution in entertainment. The original series it is based on is good, but this version of that series, made for US audiences was outstanding because it respected it's audience. Also, great story and characters.

I grew up watching Robotech and loving every second of it. Through back art, but that is where it makes it all worth wild. The story is just awesome, the mechs are amazing! This is a set worth having in your collection!

The quality is great! This series presentation has a different opening sequence than what premiered on TV in the 80s, but the music is the same iconic tune. I used to have the series on VHS, and then DVD, and now Blu-Ray!

Robotech finally on Blu ray -- what's there not to like? Part one will lead to part two, and part two will lead to part 3. Thus, all 85 episodes are one harmous series that's with owning.

The Blu-Rays are great. I enjoyed watching the digital copies for about 2 weeks until they said I had to purchase a premium subscription to continue watching the digital copies that were supposed to be included in the purchase of the blu-rays. Misleading Digital Copies, requires separate purchase of a subscription.

Not restored imo. I have the old harmony gold remastered set on dvd and the resolution on this copy is exactly the same. It's the same footage just with new packaging and in one box set. the volume is also not consistent. sometimes loud and sometimes too quiet

Classic Robotech, a must have for anyone who has seen and for those who are new to the classic mech anime.
